“Where am I?”

Julius just opened his eyes. He was surprised to find himself in a place similar to a chamber inside a cave. However, the place was well-maintained and very clean. There were flower plants everywhere, making the place fragrant. The room almost resembled a garden.

What was astonishing about the place was the illumination inside. The illumination came from clear bottles containing dozens, perhaps even hundreds, of fireflies trapped inside. This made the place beautifully lit.

After a while, footsteps were heard approaching from outside towards where Julius was. If it weren’t for his heightened senses, he wouldn’t have heard the arrival of the person, as they were walking barefoot, making their movements almost silent.

“You’re awake, it seems. You’ve been unconscious for a week,” said the voice of a woman who had just arrived and happened to be behind Julius.
