Alex arrived at Bentham Avenue, right as the clock struck 4:30.

Tossing the keys to a neatly dressed valet wearing the club’s monogrammed uniform, he stepped outside and headed up the stairs.

Alex pulled out a fat stack of hundred-dollar bills and stuffed it into the usher’s pocket.

“That’s my membership card.”

“Now that we know who targeted you, this dog has lived long enough. Time to put him down!” Josiah Warrington pulled out his handgun and turned the safety off before pointing it at Mikhail.“Hold on, Josiah. Not yet.” Alex intervened before he could pull the trigger. “We need to keep these two alive for now.”“Why?” Josiah stared at Alex, rattled by his words. “Why show mercy to the one who tried to kill you? These snakes never stop coming after you until you put them in the ground.”“I know and understand,” Alex replied with clear authority. “But they still haven’t outlived their usefulness. Take our friend to Captain Williams. He will know what to do with him.”Alex pulled out Mikhail’s cellphone and wallet from his pocket before taping his mouth shut and putting a sack over his head.“This one is just a pawn. He will die when his time comes, but I need to get my hands on the one pulling the strings.”Josiah looked at him in confusion. “He already said it was that damn oil tycoon, He

Where the hell am I?” he yelled, trying to wriggle free. But his rowdy protest was met with a punch to the face that nearly dislocated his lower jaw, throwing him to the ground.“I’ll ask the questions here,” Captain Williams’ voice sounded in the dull stillness.Wincing in pain, Randy slowly looked around, and through his squinting eyes, he saw ten muscular figures standing in the background, still like statues. And as his eyes shifted toward the shadow towering over him, he spotted Captain Williams staring down at him in a black military outfit.“Who…the hell are you?” Randy mumbled, fighting through the pain as his right cheek still stung from

Alex’s words were enough to spur him into action.“I’ll track him down to the ends of the earth if I have to. And when I find that bastard, I’m going to put a bullet in his head!”“No!” Alex cut in sharply. “I want him alive. I need to know who ordered the hit.
