Back inside New Hope Medical Centre, Mrs. Rashford was arguing with the visiting doctor, her motherly instincts temporarily taking hold of her cruel heart.

“My son has been lying there for hours! He needs treatment!” she bawled, threatening to sue the doctor who was still checking the patient’s medical reports.

“All the doctors are doing all that they can. But we need healthy plasma from a donor to stabilize the patient’s vitals,” he replied.

Mrs. Rashford fumed with rage and wrung her hands like a madwoman. “Then find a damn donor. We are in a hospital, for God’s sake. This shouldn’t be difficult at all!”

The doctor looked crestfallen. For the last one hour, he had been trying to drill some sense into Rashford, but without any success.

“Your son needs AB-negative blood. That’s already in short supply, and to make things more complicated, his body can’t accept it without the antigen. Please try to under—”
