Trapped in the wretched plot

As the car passed by, the sound of its roaring engine filled the air, causing the windows to rattle and the ground to vibrate.

Axl woke up in a daze, feeling disoriented and unsure of where he was. His eyes caught a glimpse of a soft light that was not very dazzling, and he realized that he was inside a moving car. Axl propped himself up and sat up, taking a few seconds to orient himself. As his pupils slowly focused, he took in his surroundings and realized that he was in a car traveling through the city. The lights of the towering buildings passed by outside, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.

"Have you woken up?" The sound of someone speaking brought Axl back to his senses. He turned his head to look at the man beside him and was stunned.

The man beside him was dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and black glasses, giving him a clown-like appearance. Despite the glasses, Axl could still tell that he was a handsome man, perhaps even rivaling his own good looks. What astonished him even more was that he recognized the man. He was the exact same person as the protagonist in the novel he had just finished reading.

Axl could recall vividly that the author had shared the images of every character in the novel after it had concluded. As a person who often spends his time reading novels, something immediately clicked in Axl's mind as he pulled down the sun visor to look for a mirror. When he saw his face, Axl couldn't help but curse inwardly, 'F*ck, how did I end up becoming this guy?!'

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot through his head, and he instinctively lowered his head and clutched it, as memories of his predecessor flooded his mind. After a few moments, the pain subsided, and he finally began to understand his situation more clearly. After all, reading the novel and experiencing their lives firsthand were two completely different things, and there were many details he had missed in the novel.

"Axl" - what a weird name. Well, to be honest, it was not a name but a code.

In his previous life, he was an orphan in the slums of a bustling city. He was picked up by a Mafia organization which smuggled him across the border and took him in as one of their own. Later he was put to work as a low-level thug, running errands and collecting debts. But even though he was at the lowest rank, when it came to fighting, people called him the Savage Axl. He would charge at the enemy recklessly, like a literally crazy madman, and go berserk. This was how Axl fought.

Now, Axl found himself transported into the novel he had read the night before. He had just finished reading the book before going to bed, and now he was inside the story, living it as if it were his reality. To make matters worse, this f*cking body has similar experience and background like his previous life.

His predecessor was an orphan who was smuggled in by the Triad organization and later adopted by them. As he had been adopted since he was a baby, they didn't bother to give him a name, so instead, they gave him a code: Axl.

One day, the leaders of the Triad decided to assign Axl as a protector or bodyguard for a main member of the organization's family. As part of his training, they sent him away to a remote mountain to learn martial arts, just like in the stories he had heard about legendary warriors.

Later, when Axl was 17 and wandering alone in the mountains, he was found by his master, and since then, he has been living in the mountains with his master and senior brothers. However, over time, many of his senior brothers left, leaving only him and one other senior brother behind. The fact that the Triad organization hadn't bothered to recall him initially confused him too.

Now his training period had recently ended, and coincidentally, just a few days ago, his master summoned him and declared that he should go to the city to assist his senior brother, who had run into trouble.

'What a joke,' Axl thought. Who could stand to live on a mountain, bored out of their mind? So, he agreed happily. That was what he initially thought.

"Hah..." Axl sighed in frustration. This was actually the exact first plot described in the novel - the introduction of the protagonist, showing his clown-like fashion, and picking up his junior brother. Now Axl realized that his situation was worse than he had thought. He wasn't the protagonist or the villain, but a mere sidekick who would be tortured and ruined by both of them.

As far as Axl could remember, the trouble his senior brother had gotten into was related to a woman. Apparently, the woman had caught the attention of both the protagonist and villain, a certain heir of Triad organization. The situation had escalated, and now the Triad heir was waging a war against the protagonist.

This is where his future looks bleak.

The Triad organization that was waging war against the protagonist was the same Triad organization that had adopted Axl and sent him to the mountain to learn martial arts. Originally, since their intention was to nurture him to become the bodyguard of a member of the main family, the terms of his assignment were naturally activated when he came down from the mountain. However, due to the coincidence that his senior brother was the one currently at odds with the Triad heir, his duty as protector was postponed, and they gave him a new task.

Axl's master and senior brother were unaware of his connection to the Triad organization. They had only found Axl stranded alone in the mountain, and out of pity, they had taken him in. Well, since they didn't have anyone who could sweep the floor, wash the dishes, and do other chores, they were happy to welcome him and didn't mind taking care of him.

'I'm thankful that you freed me from that f*ckin mountain, but... what a wretched plot,' Axl sighed once again, not knowing what to say about his situation.
