Chapter 4: Go Home By Self!

Benjamin swung his leg and kicked down forcefully. Although the kick wasn't too strong, Edwyn was so much pain. His eyes bulged, and his face contorted beyond imagination. It seemed as if he had just heard the sound of an egg cracked.

"You bastard... I'll kill you!"

Clutching his crotch, Edwyn's mouth sounded like a pig being poked. Tears involuntarily streamed down his face like a waterfall.

"Let's go, and we're leaving!" Benjamin said.

Seeing Edwyn's pitiful state, a satisfied smile finally appeared on Benjamin's face. However, just as he was about to leave with Isabella, Edwyn's voice suddenly rang out.

"You wait. I'll make sure you end up in jail!"

"Who are you trying to scare? You would have humiliated my friend if I hadn't shown up. If you dare to accuse me of assault, I'll report your attempted rape to the police!"

Hearing Edwyn's threat, Benjamin stopped, his gaze electric, staring straight at him.

But at this moment, Edwyn didn't show any worry or fear. Instead, a hideous smile appeared on his swollen face.

"Who said I tried to rape her? She voluntarily followed me into the room. If you don't believe me, you can ask the hotel to check the surveillance footage."

Hearing Edwyn's words, Benjamin's face stiffened, and he glanced at Isabella.

At this point, Isabella had somewhat recovered mentally. Hearing the conversation between the two, she became angry, pointed at Edwyn, and scolded him.

"Who said I willingly followed you into the room? You were taking advantage of me and trying to trespass me."

Although Isabella's words sounded angry, everyone could see that she was somewhat apprehensive. After all, the truth was what Edwyn had just said. Even their actions at the time seemed relatively intimate. Of course, Isabella only pretended to treat Edwyn that way for her purposes.

She hadn't expected Edwyn to be so cunning and try to take advantage of her even before discussing the contract.

Benjamin suddenly moved as Isabella was unsure how to deal with the situation. He quickly went to Isabella and forcefully threw her onto the bed.

"What are you doing? Let me go!"

Feeling a mix of panic and anger, Isabella yelled. But Benjamin seemed to ignore her. Nonchalantly, he took out his phone and took multiple pictures of Isabella's disheveled appearance.

After that, he pulled a small packet of pills from his pocket. These were the same pills Edwyn had used earlier to spike Isabella's drink. He had carelessly thrown them in the trash, and Benjamin had picked them up, intending to warn Isabella not to get close to Edwyn.

At this moment, he did not consider using it to confront Edwyn. Lying on the ground and witnessing the whole situation, Edwyn's facial expression couldn't help but change.

"What do you want to do?"

Edwyn, of course, recognized the packet of medicine in Benjamin's hand as the one he had discarded in the hotel.

"Do what? To create evidence and accuse you." Benjamin replied casually. It was only then that Isabella discovered Benjamin's true intentions. However, she still felt somewhat dissatisfied with his recent actions.

"Hmph, even if you do that, you can't prove that I did anything to her, can you?" Edwyn retorted, trying to maintain a stern demeanor. However, through his eyes, Benjamin could see he was already feeling somewhat fearful.

"Really? What if I take all the evidence I gathered, along with her images in that state, and bring it to the police station? Do you think they'll believe the two of us or continue to trust your words?"

At this point, Edwyn could no longer remain calm. Although he had someone backing him up, if this matter got out, he would lose face and be incredibly difficult to resolve.

So, Edwyn now infuriated, stood up abruptly and pointed at Benjamin, saying, "Fine, I'll remember your face. I won't let you off easily if I ever see you again!"

After saying that, Edwyn didn't linger. He led the two bodyguards downstairs, who had just woken up from their stupor, downstairs.

Seeing this, Isabella rushed over, grabbed Edwyn's hand, and asked: "Where are you going? We haven't finished signing the contract yet."

"Damn it! What contract? Get lost!" In his anger, Edwyn didn't care about Isabella's clinginess and pushed her away. Although he couldn't do anything to Benjamin, he wasn't afraid of Isabella. At most, if this matter leaked, his family would scold him a few times before finding a way to handle it.

For Edwyn, these matters could have been of better importance. Therefore, after pushing Isabella away, he didn't care about her affronted expression and went straight into the elevator.

At this point, Isabella wanted to chase after him once more, but Benjamin's arm blocked her.

"What do you want? Why won't you let me go after him? Do you know this was my best opportunity to sign a contract with his company?"

Hearing her words, Benjamin glanced at her as if looking at a fool.

"What are you looking at? Was I wrong?"

Silently scoffing, Benjamin lazily paid her attention. So, after seeing Isabella's furious gaze, he just shook his head and walked away.

Seeing this, Isabella couldn't help but scream: "What kind of person are you? You took my money but won't do the work? Are you even a man?"

Although Isabella's harsh words were harsh, Benjamin didn't want to argue with her. He nonchalantly shrugged and responded: "Whether I'm a man or not, you found out last night. As for you saying I took your money and didn't do the work, let me clarify a little. If it weren't for me, do you think you would still be able to maintain your pure?"

Benjamin's gaze briefly glanced at Isabella's disdainful expression as he spoke. Her face suddenly paled a bit. Then, Benjamin continued.

"Besides, I have four thousand dollars in my account now, and I've already found a job. Do you think I need to wait on you like before?"

Upon finishing his words, Benjamin's turned away, not hesitating to leave. However, Isabella's following words prevented him from taking another step.

"If you dare to leave, do you believe I will go to the hospital to talk to your sister?"

Isabella's words left Benjamin without any resistance. His face darkened immediately, and he gave her a dangerous look.

"What do you want?"

"Hmph, what do I want? My leg hurts now; I want you to help me get home."

Seeing Benjamin's icy gaze, Isabella's face couldn't help but reveal a touch of panic. Nonetheless, she pretended to be aloof and stared straight at him.

Then, Benjamin noticed Isabella's ankle was slightly swollen and red. He couldn't tell if it was because he had thrown her onto the bed too forcefully earlier, or if it happened during her struggle with Edwyn.

"Fine, let me carry you downstairs."

After some thought, Benjamin felt Isabella's current actions were too inconvenient. Therefore, he decided to carry her down the stairs. However, his movement caused Isabella to misunderstand, and she angrily slapped his face.

"What are you trying to do?"

Suddenly be slapped, Benjamin's face became stiff, and his eyes revealed a hint of anger.

Isabella's heart was filled with a bit of regret. She could see that Benjamin had no ill intentions toward her. However, she couldn't bring herself to apologize to him.

"Hmph, I'm paying you, so why can't I hit you a little?"

Knowing she was in the wrong, but Isabella stubbornly maintained her cold tone, addressing Benjamin.

For a moment, Benjamin's face flushed with anger. This woman had just wanted his help getting downstairs. Yet, she turned her back on him faster than flipping her palm.

Filled with indignation, Benjamin ignored Isabella's injured ankle and threw her straight onto the ground with a sullen expression.

"I don't care about you; if you want to go home, go alone!"

After saying this, Benjamin didn't stop. He decisively entered the elevator to go downstairs.

Because the injury was genuinely painful, Isabella's ankle became even more bruised when Benjamin threw her onto the ground. Tears started to form in her eyes, and she spoke with a voice full of anger.

"You're a jerk! I'll never forgive you!"

After waiting downstairs for a while, Isabella limped out of the hotel, her eyes filled with anger as she looked at Benjamin. But at that moment, Benjamin appeared calm, even waving at her and saying: "Hey, do you need any help?"

Already seething with anger, Isabella's eyes widened upon hearing his words.

"No need!"

"Oh, I just called you earlier, intending to ask if you wanted me to pick you up with my car. But I couldn't reach your phone."

Although still furious, upon hearing Benjamin's words, Isabella couldn't help but rummage through her belongings to find her phone and turn it on to check. As a result, the phone was out of battery, rendering her unable to contact anyone even if she wanted to.

Feeling angry, Isabella couldn't help but get mad.

"Humph, what are you still doing here? Why don't you hurry up and get your car to drive me home?"

Benjamin simply shrugged, seeing Isabella's contorted expression and her current struggling state.

"If you want to leave, go get the car yourself. I'm not free."

"You..."

The two locked eyes in confrontation. After a while, Isabella finally spoke softly.

"So, what do you want me to do now? With my current condition, there's no way I can leave the hotel alone, right?"

"Beg me! If you're willing to bow your head and beg, I'll do as you ask."

"Don't even dream about it!"

Before Benjamin could finish, Isabella's angry voice rang out. Immediately after, she shot him a mocking glance.

"Don't think you can look down on me because I'm struggling now. Let me tell you, your family is utterly useless. If it weren't for my help, would your sister have had a successful surgery? Would your father be able to stay at the hospital to take care of her?"

Isabella's words were like thorns stabbing Benjamin's chest, anger flashing in his eyes. However, he tried to suppress it, replying with a disdainful tone.

"People with money like you always think you're so great. But look at yourself, do you think having money makes you superior? That you can belittle others? Let me tell you, one day, you'll have to beg me!"

"Ha ha ha, beg you? Who do you think you are? Isn't it true that I'm the one who's responsible for all of your money?"

Suddenly struck at a sore spot, Benjamin's face became flustered. If not for the fact that he couldn't use his money and power until his mission was completed, would he have to endure such humiliation with his status?

Yet, Isabella seemed to have grasped something and began attacking him.

"Did I have focused on the crux of the matter, and now you feel humiliated? But what I said is the truth. People like you, who only take other people's money without working, what can you accomplish? You're nothing but a good-for-nothing!"

"You..."

At this point, Benjamin's face grew even uglier. But Isabella's words were accurate, and he could not refute them. For a moment, the atmosphere between the two became incredibly tense.
