Chapter 5. Looming Threats

"System, show me my status window." Maximus told the system.

«Ding! As the host wishes.» the system's metallic high pitch female voice was heard. Just then a screen appeared in front of him, written in golden letters was his information.

Unredeemed reward: Platinum card.» Maximus listened attentively to all the system said. At the last part, that's when he remembered that there's a reward from the quest he hadn't even bothered to check.

"System, how do I redeem the platinum card?" Maximus asked the system.

«Ding! The host just needs to will it.» the system responded. When Maximus heard it, he then took a deep breath and told the system to redeem the platinum card.

+10 system coins (can be used to purchase items from the store when sufficient level is reach. System coins can also be redeemed for monetary value.» The system stated.

“And how much one system coin worth?” Maximus enquired with hope still shining in his eyes.

«Ding!

One system coin can be exchanged for $1,000.» the system replied nonchalantly.

“HOLY SHIT!!” Maximus almost jumped out of his skin. He currently possessed ten system coins which when exchange will give him the sum of ten thousand dollars, he can live well for months with this kind of money.

“How do I redeem to hard cash?” Maximus' eyes shone with both greed and hope.

«Ding!

Host must first show his devotion and dedication to be more than just a weakling. Host reclaim that which he lost one by one.» the system replied. Maximus' left eye twitched a bit. Although he already planned on doing so, but won't he need money for that?

Maximus sighed. One thing at a time. First of all, he has to get out of here. Maximus stared at himself over. He could already imagine the cops are eating him once he went in the streets wearing a bloodied rag. Maximus then turned his attention to the dead thugs around him. He made a sign of the cross, bent down and then undressed all the thugs, and began checking which one sized him most. After finally getting dressed, he found a few hundred dollar bills in the trousers, he remembered it belonged to the Boss of the thugs.

"Alright, first stop is the bank to get a new debit card." Maximus said and walked off.

In a throne room, with walls that were made of the purest gold. Six golden thrones were placed on a podium and seated on these thrones were; a man with golden hair and golden skin with huge batlike wings on his back, man with rippling muscles and black hair, a man with a scowl on his face and red blood hair, a golden cat who was playing with a golden coin, a man with a helmet that has two horns and he had a mischievous smile on his face, and lastly a man dressed in regal clothes with a sword at his waist.

"A new system wielder has awaken. What say ye, brothers." The man in regal clothes spoke. His voice was calm and soothing but oozed out authority.

"Arthur is right, this new individual could pose a lot of problems for our champion." The man with two horns and mischievous smile spoke.

"Nevertheless Loki, I think a new challenge is what our champion needs. I say we summon Maximus Gayle to deal with this new draconian." The red haired spoke.

"Who wants to place a bet nya? I bet against our champion, he will lose nya!" The golden cat spoke.

"We five will bet on our champion winning, as always Lykoi, you will lose." The man called Loki spoke.

"Very well, I shall summon him." The golden man with wings said and stood him. He stretched forth his right hand forward, his eyes emitted golden lightning. "Champion of the six gods and deities, I, Ophelus, deity of wealth summon thee, heed my call and come forth, Ozilla!"

Above the chaos on Earth, above the death, screams and pains on Earth, above Earth itself.. a throne room made of countless sparkling stars, which in fact resembled the milky way galaxy, could be seen. Twenty-four beings which could stomp on the Asgardian gods, the Olympians and Egyptian gods like ants sat on chairs made of sparkling stars. Each of these twenty-four beings had six pairs of wings on their back.

"Holy! Holy! Holy! is the Lord Creator Almighty!"

Their voice boomed out like thunder. These were twenty-four Elders of Heaven. In front of them were two higher beings.. one looked like a middle eastern young man with long wavy hair which reached his shoulders, he had an amiable smile on his face and his eyes depicted nothing but love and care. Beside him was one whom even the Elders dare not gaze upon. His face was the very definition of the 'Sun' for it shone like a thousand sun. He turned to the Elders.

"Lucifer's minions has finally been vanquished by our chosen one. The thousand years war against Lucifer is finally over."

"Father, a new threat has occurred in one of our worlds, and even Uriel and Sariel confirmed it is one that might either end or reform that world." One of the Elders spoke.

"I shall go to this world, Father. With your permission, I shall observe this threat, and if it bodes ill for that world, I will eliminate it." A golden haired being with a pair of wings spoke. He was the archangel Michael.

"You shall go with Uriel and Sariel. Together you shall form the Unholy Trinity. You have my permission to act as you see fit." The being that shone like the sun spoke. Every other being present bowed and chanted "Holy! Holy! Holy! is the Lord Creator Almighty!"
