“I learned that herbal green tea decocted from 100-year-old ginseng roots are rare and expensive. Even hundreds of wealthy people fought to have their hands on the tea but here Mr Foley is gifting Mrs Smith Senior with such herbal tea for her health. See how kind and generous the Foleys are. The might of the Foleys are unprecedented and their generosity very incredible. The Smiths are already blessed to have him as in law and I am even tempted to be jealous of them!”

With the brightest smiles on her face, Mrs Smith Senior heartily replied to Jackson and said, “How thoughtful of you Mr Foley to have brought these gifts items to my household. You're too kind and I'm happy to have you in my family. In fact, I wholeheartedly accept these gift items from you today with much gratitude.”

Turning to Jade, she continued to speak, “Jade, you have seen the gracious, priceless and highly valued gifts items which Mr Foley presented to us as your wedding gift. You have also seen that this idiot and trash called Aiden whom You've been protecting has nothing to present to us as a wedding gift. There is no way he can compete with Mr Foleys. Therefore, you must hurry up and kick him away now to marry Mr. Foleys.”

At this moment, Jade was lost in deep thought. She was at her wits end and didn't know what she would do to keep protecting Aiden from harm.

If she kicks Aiden away and marries Jackson, her family will prosper but Aiden will suffer to death and that would make her heart restless. Also, if she remained with Aiden and refused to kick him away, they would incur the wrath of the mighty Foleys.

Everything seemed to be in a mess and she was caught up in between.

Jackson brimmed with smiles after Mrs Smith Senior showered him with praises for his gift items to her house. “You're welcome Mrs Smith Senior. This is just the beginning of the start of your family to taste the prosperity and might of the Foleys. More are coming as soon as the wedding is completed.”

Then turning to face Aiden, the beaming smiles on Jackson’s face immediately twisted into a contemptuous and disdainful look. With a cold voice he mocked him, saying, “Crazy Aiden, have you seen the mighty doings of the Foleys? This is just a small piece of the powerful might and wealth of the Foleys? Do you still want to continue the challenge with me? Can you provide even half of my wedding gift items to the Smiths? I guess not, haha!”

“And who says that I have nothing to present as a wedding gift Mrs Smith Senior?” Aiden interjected and then continued, “The jadeite necklace I gave to Jade has by far surpassed these worthless items which Jackson gifted you with. Moreso, I have told you to relax and wait for the arrival of Mr Garners who is coming with my wedding gift items!”

“Haha!”

“This Brat is incredibly ridiculous!”

The crowd burst into mockery and laughed disdainfully at Aiden for his statement.

“You're still boasting, fool!” Lily came closer to Aiden and raised her hand to slap him and yelled, “How dare you to regard the priceless wedding gift items from Mr Foleys as worthless items?! How dare you…!”

Meanwhile Aiden caught her incoming hands in time and shoved her away from his face. Then, he turned to Jade and comforted her, saying, “Don't worry Jade, these gift items from Jackson are actually worthless to you and your family. In a minute's time from now, the Garners are going to be here with the wedding gifts I asked them to prepare for you on my behalf.”

“Mhm,” Jade nodded her head silently in acceptance of Aiden's words and said, “I trust you Aiden and I believe that your words are true. Let's wait for the arrival of the Garners.”

Aiden saw through Jade's fear and anxiety and stepped in to calm her down. Likewise Jade who accepted Aiden's words as a means of defending him.

To Jade, protecting Aiden at this critical moment of time was a priority even if it means dying together with him. Since her beloved late grandfather wished and begged her to marry Aiden and to always protect him, she would do just that even with the last drop of her blood.

Meanwhile, Lily stood up from the ground where she was previously shoved to by Aiden and said to Jade with a livid glimpse, “ Jade, do you know that you're a fool and despicable being right now. How can you still stand with this ingrate that you picked from the trash and housed for several years in our house yet he turned around to fight and betrayed us? He is even blocking our family’s path to glory. How could you? Tell me, haven't you realized that he has been deceiving you all these while. How could you loosely accept all his lies as truth? Can't you see him through his despicable tricks?!”

“Poar!” she spat a mouthful of saliva on the ground and said, “Jade, I poor spit on you for being a disgrace to our family!”

Then, turning to Aiden, she continued, “And to you Aiden who's the Smith's ungrateful Idiot. Not only did you pretend to be crazy but you're even doing despicable things by playing tricks on my sister now. You useless and good-for-nothing joe who was picked out of the gutter by Jade, a few years ago. Why would the Garners send a wedding gift to my family on your behalf?!”

“How dare a useless thing like you talk about the Garners? Haven't I informed you that the Garners are the most prominent and respected family in this city and the biggest investors in my family. Even my father had to go to great lent before he was able to get them to invest in our Foleys group. Why would they send a wedding gift on your behalf? Who are you trying to deceive again? I can see that you're been very delusional right now!” Jackson taunted and threatened Aiden, saying, “How dare you disrespect the Garners? See, disrespecting the Garners will only lead you into your doom!”

Aiden smiled and said gleefully, “When the Garners send the wedding gifts here, Jackson, I hope you don't kneel too quickly to beg for my forgiveness because I will never forgive you especially for daring to provoke my anger just now.”

“Haha!” Jackson smiled at him mockingly and said, “I can see that you're still acting tough, Okay. Let's watch and see how your end will come like a breeze if the Garners didn't send any gifts here in the next one minute like you boasted!”

Aiden knew that if he failed to get to Jackson where he belonged, he wouldn't stop pestering him or coveting his wife, Jade. Thus, he went up to Jackson’s maid servant who was carrying the herbal green tea decocted from the 100-year-old ginseng roots and took the bottle from her. After looking at the bottle containing the green tea, he smiled and said with a disdainful voice, “So these are useless and worthless gifts Jackson sent to the Smiths as wedding gifts, huh?! Even a dying mad dog will never accept this gift not to talk more of using it as drugs.” Turning to Jade's grandmother, he continued, “Mrs Smith Senior, this herbal tea is nothing but a poison. I am sorry that I can't stand here to watch you have this poison as a gift because it will worsen your health if taken.” Then he threw the bottle to the floor, shattering it into pieces and discarded its content immediately.

“What…?!”

Aiden's action stunned everyone and rendered them dumbfounded.

Most of them froze in frown instantly and only shot him a dreadful glare.

“How dare you destroyed my wedding gift to the Smiths?! You truly want to die in my hands right now, don't you?!” Jackson was furiously enraged. He stomped his left foot on the ground vigorously and glowered, “I am going to kill you now!”

He threw some series of his fists at Aiden but Aiden successfully dodged all of them without a single one getting near him.

Just then, a voice sounded from the microphone and announced, “The wedding gifts have arrived!”
