CHAPTER 94 — MINE ALREADY

DIANA’S POV

Diana strode out of the hospital room, and the tension followed her like smoke clinging to silk. The fluorescent ceiling lights glared too bright, reflecting off the marble floor where her heels clicked in sharp, decisive rhythm. Every step felt like a release of pressure that somehow made her chest tighter instead of lighter.

Behind her, Harry kept pace—close enough that she could feel him there, but far enough that he wasn’t intruding. His calmness irritated her more than Kelvin’s outburst had. Harry always had this collected way about him, like chaos existed only for other people.

“Do you think I was supposed to talk to him that way?” Diana muttered without looking back. Her voice stayed low, clipped, restrained only because the silence of the hallway demanded it.

Harry’s lips curved—just slightly, just enough to be noticed. “You did perfectly,” he said. “Kelvin needed the reminder.” His tone was almost lazy. Too relaxed. “The cocky bastard fo

The dark road stretched ahead, an endless ribbon of asphalt that suddenly felt suffocating in its emptiness. The silence in the car was a physical weight. She wasn’t sure she was ready for any of it.“Pull over.” Harry’s voice was a low hum, a vibration that traveled through the leather seat and into her bones. Her heart hammered against her ribs. “What? Why? We’re almost—”“Pull. Over.”It was a command wrapped in a dark, delicious promise that made her throat tighten. Her foot hit the brake before her brain could form a protest, the car crunching onto the gravel shoulder. The engine sighed into silence. Suddenly, it was just them, the pale dashboard glow painting everything in shades of nerves and pure, unadulterated temptation. She turned to him, a question dying on her lips. The look in his eyes wasn't just desire; it was a raw, all-consuming hunger. He didn’t wait for her to speak. He

CHAPTER 93— RAGE IN FLUORESCENT LIGHT“Oh please—drop that arrogance. Harry told me you hit yourself. Just for me to spend. You’re so pathetic, Kelvin.” Her voice was velvet that had been sharpened at the edges. He tasted a laugh that died before it reached his mouth. Harry stood with his hands jammed in his pockets, that practised, smug posture he always assumed. His smile held pity and a sense of conquest, the kind that made other people feel like trophies.Kelvin forced a crooked grin that didn’t reach his eyes. “I can’t believe you’re falling for his act,” he said, his voice low, each word threaded with something brittle. “You’re blaming me to protect him. After everything I did for you.”Diana flinched as if a hand had slapped her with a ledger of his sacrifices. She tried to make her confusion look reasonable. “Kelvin, you were becoming boring. What did you expect me to do?”He saw the way her question carried the finality of a verdict. “Boring? You’re the one who turned me into

CHAPTER 92— HOSPITAL TENSIONDiana’s hands tightened into fists at her sides. Tina’s words cut through her like ice.“You never should’ve married him,” Tina said, sharp and cold. “He doesn’t give a damn about you. About your company. All he cares about is your money.”Diana felt her stomach drop. Heat and anger tangled in her chest. She had suspected it, yes — but hearing it aloud, seeing it thrown at her like a weapon, made her feel raw.“I know!” she snapped, voice shaking more than she wanted. “I see it every damn day!”Tina leaned forward, eyes piercing. “Then why do you still act like it matters? Why let him play with everything you built, like it’s his to control?”Diana’s teeth ground together. “Because… maybe I’m tired of fighting,” she admitted, almost a whisper, her pride warring with the truth. “Tired of pretending he cares. Tired of pretending I care.”Tina straightened, but the intensity didn’t fade. “Then stop pretending,” she said, low and steady. “Stop giving him power

CHAPTER 91 — COLLATERAL DAMAGEIf the world had a timing for cruelty, Diana’s arrived like a church bell — loud, unavoidable, and bone-deep.She remembered the words leaving her mouth in a sound she didn’t recognize — sharp, urgent, like someone else was steering her body for once.“Security! Please! Someone get in here — now!”That was the fucking thing that wouldn’t leave her head. She moved on reflex, but then everything sped up and blurred. The next thing she saw, they were both on the floor — Harry bleeding from everywhere, and Kelvin lying still, unconscious. She was already halfway down the hall when a security guard grabbed her elbow and said something about calling an ambulance. The rest was a smear: the guard’s radio buzzing like a wasp, Harry screaming, people shouting, the smell of wine and blood, then someone pulling her back — “Mrs. Flame, you need to stay here” — and all she could think was, Kelvin dead? They rushed both Kelvin and Harry out. Diana stood in the lobby as

Like he thought he wouldn’t.Big mistake.“You—fucking—” he started, but Kelvin was already on him again. Kelvin’s hand fisted his shirt, slamming him into the wall so hard the painting behind him crashed to the floor.“For years, Harry!” Kelvin snarled, spitting the words in his face. “Six fucking years fighting for a family that wasn’t even mine!”He coughed, trying to catch his breath. “Man, you don’t understand—”“Oh, I understand perfectly.” Kelvin’s fist cut him off again, landing straight in his gut. The air whooshed out of him as he doubled over, gasping, eyes watering. “You were in my bed. With my wife.”Diana’s screams were faint behind Kelvin. “Kelvin! Stop it! Please!”But he couldn’t. He wa
