Chapter 13 Daughter Blossom

Underground City

Inside the facilities laboratory.

Manasi could be seen sitting in the chair. His hand is limped down, while his eyes are closed tight.

Manasi is mumbling something, as if having a hallucination.

Suddenly, he was jolted awake. Covered in sweat, he raised his head and looked around in confusion.

As if remembering something, memories start to appear in his mind, about how he was forced into a corner by that homunculus beast and the heavy injuries that he received.

As the memories continued to flow inside his head, Manasi raised his hand to hold his head while gritting his teeth to endure the pain.

It took him a couple of minutes to adjust himself, not even realizing that his cold sweat was dripping from his forehead.

He mumbled something.

"So that's what happened."

Only now did Manasi realize how dangerous the situation was. 

Just a single lapse of judgment would result in his death. Had the homunculus Beast Tiger struck at him, without the help of [Guide], he wouldn't be able to react before his life was taken. 

If the system did not use the guide to its fullest. He would be dead for sure, and "death" would be happy to torment his soul.

Besides feeling worried, he also felt excited. Who would have thought of facing a monster with a rank of A or B, with his ordinary strength?

All through, he did not see the stats of the homunculus beast since the fight.

He is thankful for the spirit system, as it always guides him in every decision he makes.

Manasi suddenly touched his left hand. He felt strange when his right hand made contact. He felt as if it was not his arm, but he could fully control it. He just felt that something was added. 

He knew that the system had used the power of the star crystal on his left hand to absorb the Homunculus beast's lower part. That is the only way to restore him.

But still, he was confused. 

'Didn't the system say that he wouldn't interfere or control me without authorization, that every choice that I made, I would have to face the consequences?'

As if hearing Manasi's thoughts, the system suddenly sends a message.

'Contractor, when your life is in danger, the spirit system will directly take control if necessary, but if the situation is beyond the spirit system's capability, it will not. The spirit system can only say BYE, BYE Contractor.' Spirit System

Manasi then ignored the system and motioned his fingers in a gripping manner. He then clenched his left hand into a fist. 

He felt power in his hand. His hand became the color of red. The veins inside his left hand became deep blue. 

It's like a blue liquid is trapped inside his veins. As it appeared, his arms were covered by a red aura.

"Wow! "It looks very cool," Manasi thought, as his left arm looked awesome.

Manasi did not know what "other details" meant and why they were hidden. But he knew that opening it would require the Spirit System's energy.

"So I have to participate in those battles.....I'm familiar with the homunculus, but what about the Abyssal Abaddons? I found their names quite familiar... Abyssal Abaddon sounds like a monster from hell, ahh! I know the bible book of revelation." Manasi said, while realization hit him.

'Why would there be an abyssal Abaddon in the bible?' Manasi then slowly stood up while thinking.

"So I have to absorb some of their energy then." Manasi said with consideration.

'Yes, contractor.' Spirit System

Then Manasi observes his surroundings, 'the Orb is still in the lab, but the tube that contains the hadem contract beast is gone...'

He then becomes extremely vigilant.

 'Contractor, there has been no contract beast inside the lab since I arrived, and the tube containing the contract beast has long since broken, considering it is full of dust. You do not have to worry.' Spirit System.

Only now did Manasi realize that the tube was quite dusty. The Spirit System should already have scanned the surroundings for any danger.

Then Manasi sighs in relief, while slowly walking toward the orb that contains Sage Hadem's daughter. When Manasi stood before the orb, it was covered in dust.

Finally, he could see her face, but he was quite stunned. His eyes widen.

Before Manasi's very own eyes, an almost perfect beauty, she's like a piece of art.

'It was a pleasure to see her flowing, Ocean Shappire-blue hair. When I came closer, I noticed her scrolled ears and her elegant nose. Her Amazonian figure sat well on her wafer-thin body.' He thought.

"Unbelievable" Even though Manasi knew that she was not human, he would still be tempted.

'I'm just being a real man. I'm a healthy, hot-blooded youth. The girl looks like she might be 19 years old, but maybe older. I'm not sure about the Sage race's age. She's wearing a moon-light gothic.'

Manasi was considering how to wake her up.

"?"

Manasi thought for a moment and saw that the girl moved a little. His finger poked her. He was thinking of poking her shoulder but ended up poking her cheeks.

'I have to admit she's stunning. I need to be careful not to be a creepy maniac. "

"Spirit System? Can you translate Abba? I feel like you two have the same Hebrew language that you are using. " Manasi said.

'Yes contractor, it is the Hebrew language. Abba means "father" in Hebrew.' Spirit System 

'Eh????' Manasi was dumbfounded.

"What do you mean, father? Do I look old? spirit system?" Manasi said with a huge question mark on his head

'...' Spirit System

'I'm only 24years old.... now a girl that can potentially become my wife is calling me father! How tragic.' Manasi said.

The girl still keeps calling Manasi 'abba' while smiling and reaching her arms at him.

The way she smiles does 'blossoms'.

'No wonder, Hadem Sage called her Blossom.'

"Abba!" Blossom exclaimed cheerfully.

Manasi held her arms and helped her seat.

"Why do you call me Abba?" Manasi asks

The girl tilted her head cutely as if saying to Manasi, "Why not?"

Manasi was about to say something when he saw a word from the system.

'Contractor, Blossom had a trauma in her brain, because of the star crystal merging with her. She is considered a little child without her former knowledge.'

'Her father, Hadem Sage, submerged her inside the homunculus gel, turning her original body into an artificial body. 

'Apart from her soul, her blood, heart and brain are artificial. She cannot be fully considered to be alive.' Spirit System

Manasi looks at the Blossom that is still smiling brightly. Deep in his heart, it saddens him. All he can do for her is help her escape from this place, this planet.

'That's why she called me her father. She's just a child. I can not blame Hadem for what he did. Sage Hadem must have his own reasons. I have no right to judge.' Manasi thought as he smiled at Blossom.

Because of the experimentation, the young girl still has a chance in life. Hadem Sage wanted his race to survive and even more for his daughter to live on.

Maybe that was what Hadem yearned for. Blossom raised her arm as if telling Manasi to hug her, so Manasi could only hug her.

Even though she was covered with the homunculus gel, he did not feel disgusted.

"What's your name?" Manasi looked at her in the eyes.

"...?.." Blossom tilted her in confusion.

She smiled back at Hadem, not knowing what Manasi meant.

"I will call you Blossom, okay?"

Manasi taught her the name her father gave her. He then repeated the word "Blossom" to teach her. Manasi teaches her in English.

"BLOSSOM! Hehe!"

She shouted "Blossom!" as she learned her name. She even lifted my hand to let me pat her head.

Manasi could only pat her head and smile at her. 'I would shower her with love like a father would, and not let her see her life's dark history.'
