"You should have died a long time ago, but instead you continue to live and disturb the many pleasures of my Lord. It's all your own fault, you fool," whispered a man as he pushed Elios' thin body. Elios, the God of War died a horrible death, his pride and body destroyed by the betrayal of those he trusted. But fate said otherwise, a moment later he returned to a time four years ago when he was faced with two choices that would determine his life.

On a bed in the VIP room of a large hospital in the capital city of Fronch, a thin man sat holding a television remote in his hand. He was staring straight at the television screen on the wall.

"I'm a disgusting person," he muttered with a bitter smile as he watched the television broadcast news about himself.

A moment later the door to the room was rudely opened. A woman walked into the room with two reporters following behind her.

"Elios, I am very disappointed in you. I have been very loyal to you, but what I got was you who betrayed me to end up like this," said the woman as she took off the ring on her ring finger and then threw it at Elios.

The journalists videotaped the incident and broadcast it live.

Elios immediately stared at the three people in front of him. He raised his hand and then pointed at the three people in front of him.

"You all know that I am a clean and honest person; I have never done anything deviant. I have always used my life to serve this country. I risked my body and soul to defend this country, but what are you saying to me now? You are forgetting all the things I have done for you!" Elios shouted at the top of his lungs.

A moment later Elios' chest suddenly hurt; he clutched his chest and then coughed repeatedly.

"Is there a possibility that the disease could spread through the air?" Asked Calista, the woman who was Elios' future wife, as she looked at the two reporters she had brought with her.

"I don't think so, but I'm not sure about this either," replied one of the reporters as he took a step back. That caught him staring at Elios with a look of disgust.

A moment later, three other people entered the room quickly.

"Bring them out!" Shouted one of the men who had just entered the room.

The man immediately walked quickly towards Elios, while the two men who came with him immediately pulled out Calista and the two reporters.

"How are you, sir?" asked Calvin, the man who was currently getting a tissue for Elios.

Elios also accepted the tissue given by Calvin to cover his cough that had not stopped until finally his coughing stopped after he coughed up blood from his throat. A small smile appeared on Elios' lips when he saw the bloodstains on the tissue given by Calvin.

"Looks like my time is running out," he muttered as he crumpled the tissue in his hand and then threw the tissue in the trash can near his bed.

Calvin glanced at the trash can that Elios had just used to throw away the tissue.

"Calvin," Elios called calmly.

Calvin immediately looked back at Elios. "Yes, sir," Calvin replied in the same calm tone as Elios.

After that, Elios gave a sign for Calvin to come closer.

"You are the person I trust the most," Elios said as he took an object from his pocket. "Inside this object are dozens of pieces of evidence of the crimes of the king and his people; give this object to the international alliance so that they can protect the people of Fronch."

Elios gave the chips to Calvin.

Calvin immediately accepted the chip and grasped it tightly.

After that, Elios raised his head and looked up at the ceiling of the room. "I didn't expect that my life would end like this," he said and smiled bitterly.

Calvin inserted the chip in his hand into a hole in his watch. "Doctors are still trying hard to make a vaccine that can cure your HIV disease; you can't give up at this time."

"Doctors will always try, but I know that my body can't last much longer," Elios said.

Calvin then looked at the window that was not far from their current place.

"How about we take a walk? It doesn't seem too cold tonight," Calvin asked calmly.

Elios then glanced at Calvin. "Aren't you afraid of catching my disease like everyone else?"

"We've been together since we were kids. I understand boundaries anyway; I have nothing to be afraid of," Calvin replied and smiled warmly at Elios.

Elios finally bowed his head and then turned to Calvin. "Fine, if it's not a problem for you, then it won't be a problem for me either."

After that, Elios got up from the bed slowly; he stepped towards the wheelchair that Calvin had prepared. Calvin immediately pushed the wheelchair out of the room.

The two of them used the elevator at the end of the hallway in a row of VIP rooms while chatting casually until they finally reached the rooftop of the building. At first, Elios' two men continued to follow Elios and Calvin until finally Calvin gave a sign for Elios' men to return to guard in front of Elios' room.

"Calvin, I am very happy that you are still near me until now," Elios said while looking up at the sky. He closed his eyes for a moment to enjoy the warm night air.

Meanwhile, Calvin currently continued to push Elios' wheelchair with a cold expression on his face. "Are you sure that you feel happy?"

Elios opened his eyes at Calvin's question. He realized that Calvin's tone was different from before. "What do you mean, of course I feel very happy."

"I have some things to tell you, sir. Do you want to hear it?" Calvin spoke while continuing to push Elios' wheelchair to the edge of the rooftop.

Elios wrinkled his forehead. "What do you want to say?"

Then Calvin calmly turned Elios' wheelchair around so that he could look at Elios directly. Then he took a step back. "Did you ever think that I was the one who gave you the HIV virus?"

Elios' eyes rounded. "What are you saying?"

Calvin smiled with a grin. "Yes, it was me. I gave you the HIV virus. When you were hit by the bullet six months ago, I deliberately made the doctor transfuse blood from an HIV-positive person into your body, then I also put poison in your food so that the disease would activate faster. What do you think, am I very clever?"

Elios was silent; he was really surprised to hear Calvin's confession.

"From the expression on your face, it's clear that you really believe me, you naive god of war," Calvin said once more and then laughed loudly.

"I'm sure you'll be even more surprised if you hear that your favorite men, who you sentenced to death for treason, were honest people; I and the king planned it all," Calvin said while wiping the tears that had dripped from the ends of his eyes because he laughed too much, as if everything he said was funny.

Elios gripped the wheelchair handle tightly, his hands shaking as he tried to stand up, and with all his might, he finally managed to stand up. "You betrayed me; we've always been together since childhood," Elios said in a voice that trembled from the feelings of anger and sadness mixed in his heart.

A moment later Calvin's gaze turned cold. "We were together since childhood, but you became the god of war, the one who was worshiped by everyone, while I was just your shadow. Do you think I should feel proud of being a shadow?"

Elios raised his hand trembling as he pointed at Calvin's face. "I treated you well; I also trusted you very much all this time. But you—"

"Don't disgust me," Calvin interrupted Elios. "I won't feel the slightest bit sorry for you even if you tell me that disgusting past because after you die, then I will replace you as the leader of the army of seven dragons."

'So all this time he's been eyeing the position of the leader of the army of seven dragons,' Elios thought as he clenched his hand that had been pointing at Calvin's face.

"I'm going to kill you," said Elios as he stepped towards Calvin.

Calvin immediately caught Elios' hand, then pushed Elios hard against the rooftop's edge divider. After that, Calvin easily flipped Elios' body and pressed Elios' body against the rooftop fence so that Elios was now staring at the street below the fifteen-floor hospital building.

"Well, Mr. Elios, before you die, I will tell you the real reason I can do all these things," Calvin said with a mocking smile, looking at Elios' back.

Elios currently couldn't answer Calvin's words; his chest felt tight because of the pressure exerted by Calvin.

"Elios, you must think that the person who supports me to do all this is King Edmund, but honestly my biggest supporter is not him. Even King Edmund is just a pawn," Calvin said coldly.

'King Edmund is a pawn,' Elios thought while wincing at the pain in his chest.

"You and I are also just cute toys for him," Calvin said as he let go of Elios for a moment, then he calmly lifted the back of Elios' collar. "Because he is...."

Elios looked back. 'Who is that?'
