Chapter Eight

Arabella watched Elvis with confusion. Why was he behaving like this? She had thought he would quietly go away after their divorce, but he was still acting like he had something to prove.

“Why won’t he just leave me and my family alone? He was so quick to agree to the divorce, but now he’s making a fool of himself in front of everyone!” she thought.

Albert’s laughter filled the room. “A man who can’t take care of himself is trying to show us he’s important?” he said, scoffing. "come on stop this madness and save our precious time."

James, sensing the rising tension, quickly stepped in to diffuse the situation. “Now, now, gentlemen,” he said, his voice was authoritative but calm. “Let's not be hasty. This is a high-stakes game, after all, and it wouldn't end in a sour manner.”

Elvis, his eyes blazing with an unyielding resolve, turned to James and spoke, his voice low but steady. “I agree with your terms. We can settle this right here, right now.”
