Cara's [P.O.V]

"What are you guys waiting for? Go and get prepared" I said out loud, as I stared at the rogues that were all around my dad.

"Mum when is the moon's day?" I asked my mum whose stare has been over me for a long period of time now.

"It is tomorrow! Can someone take the body of this rogue away from here" Luna Elsa answers me and at the same time quarrels about the dead messenger.

I ran back into the house, scattering my red hair as the thoughts of whether he was safe or not was bothering me.

I rushed downstairs and headed to the other chambers of the building, where only witch members of our pack are located and I asked to see the head witch.

"Hello cara, you came here for a purpose Dearing in your heart," Abigail says to me as she carries me to her table that had a pot filled with water in motion.

"Look," she says to me and I looked into the water to see alpha Brian bleeding on his head and being tied up to a bed.

"Yes! Now tell me what you really want" she asked me and I stared at her funny gesturing both in my mind and physically.

If she could already know my problem, then she should already know the exact solution to It as well.

"You know what I want," I said to her and she laughs a long laugh that got awkward at some point.

I guess witches are bound to be so excited about the evil that they laugh much...like their lives depend on it.

"Of course, I know what you want, but what are you willing to pay back for what you want?" She asked me and I brought out a hundred dollar and she smiled.

"Give me the money," she says to me and I gave It to her_expecting her to pocket It but then her next move surprises me as She placed the hundred dollars into the pot filled with water just for It to start burning like It was placed in a fire.

"Why did you do that?" I asked her but she did not tell me why she did It as she mixed up potions that I had no idea on how it related to my own problem.

"I sense great danger around you," she says to me and I rolled my eyes as I knew that literally, the only problem I am facing right now is my mate being kidnapped.

"Cara, drink of this potion, It will help protect you and your mate"

"Okay"

"Remember that the ability of this potion will only be very active when you are closer to your mate," she says as she hands it over to me and I drink it.

"Side effects?" I said to her and she smiled at me like she wanted me to note.

"Your mate will be horny as hell for you," she says to me and I choked a bit as she stood up and left.

"Thank you," I said to her and she nods in understanding and I walked out of her chambers just to see my mum_Luna, Elsa.

"What did you go In there to do?" She asked me to wait to get a reply from me.

"I went to ask a few questions," I replied to her and looked over her hand as she gave me her wrist bangle.

The bangle has been given to Luna's from one generation to another after the Luna died but my mum isn't dead and I am wondering why she is giving it to me.

I collected her gift by kneeling down and bowed to thank her for it.

She raised me up by supporting my shoulders and I and she walked into the royal alpha chambers.

My eyes met with my father who did not react well as he saw me coming closer.

I left for work, just to see my colleague, James, who does not want me to rest, as he asked questions on the frozen man.

"What happened to the frozen man cara?... You would have to explain why you could not return it to our general manager," he says to me and my heartbeat to the possible lie I was going to say.

"Take me to him" I requested of James, of which he immediately did.

"Cara Henderson, you have some explaining to do," Mr. Kenneth_The head of science research department managing says to me as I was now in his office.

"I started explaining how I took the body and more on the science aspect of it but then a blond hair lady walked in on high heels and my heart was beginning to beat more because my job was at stake.

She was the state science research vice president and it would be hard to lie to a person with so many skills and knowledge.

"I don't have time to listen to an in-room explanation, follow me, Cara, you would be explaining all of that on the TV news," she says to me and I stood up following her.

James's signs like he felt bad for me.

I was now on the pulpit with microphones all over my lip angles with people gathered outside waiting for what I had to say to them right now.

"Good day, the frozen man was found in the ocean and brought to be studied by us, I would say that we tried all possible best to defrost the ice and bring the man out but all our experiments failed," I said out to them with my body shaking a bit.

"I took the frozen man for home research and discovered that the ice could break with a very slow hit, and this will be because of the strong chemical bonding," I said to them and then I rested between before I continued.

"After my experiments worked, the whole Ice had loosed Its bonding and It got broken into pieces but then there was no man inside," I said to the crowd and everyone exclaimed in a way.

"The man we could see inside the Ice was a reflection of a real man_one thousand years ago over the sea, and the frost lasted so long due to the strong chemical bonding but could no longer retain such strength as the bonds had been destroyed by me and It melted into water" I said to everyone who were now on there feet.

"Thank you!" I said to them and later I left the pulpit and headed home after shaking hands with the research acting president.

In thirty minutes time, my father would attack the pack that had abducted Alpha Brian, and I must be there for my mate.
