Chapter 27 A series of unexpected small events

"My husband." Aretha winced in pain as Kidnagan enveloped Aretha's body with his protection moves.

Kidnagan stopped and put Aretha down. "Your esper level is still too low. With your strength, your body will not be able to keep up with my movements. Now, do you understand?"

Kidnagan caught dozens of knives aiming at the two of them.

"I beg you, do not harm them." Aretha looked at Kidnagan with a pitiable face.

"I'll try."

Just as the 20 people in the distance were about to throw knives, the knives in Kidnagan's hands shot out with lightning speed to hit their knives.

The ambush party was surprised because Kidnagan's attack was so fast that it didn't seem to show Kidnagan's movements.

Nevertheless, they did not give up. They darted to attack Kidnagan.

"Aretha," Kidnagan said, "embrace me."

Aretha hugged Kidnagan.

Without further ado, Kidnagan grabbed Aretha's body with his right hand as the ambushers began to attack with swords and spears.
