21. Shadow Terror

"I don't understand you. But you're still worrying," the girl said with a flat face. Her facial expression often did not match her mood.

"I'm fine. What are you doing here anyway?" I asked her. I was still trying to calm myself down.

"Just happened to be passing by on this street and I happened to see you. That's all," she replied curtly.

"Oh."

Nakamori looked at me with eyes that seemed to doubt me. "Seeing your condition, you shouldn't linger on the streets like this. I don't want the next morning to see news of a young man lying in the middle of the street in a terrible condition," he quipped.

"Yes. Then you'd better take me home. How about it?" I didn't intend to ask him to walk me, I just simply threw those words out because I was feeling a little annoyed by his treatment.

"Did you just say that to me?" Nakamori looked like she couldn't believe it.

I nodded. But afterward, I somewhat regretted the words that came out of my mouth.

"Hold me firmly!" he ordered.
