[MEMORIES OF FIVE TARGETS NOW BELONG TO MR. ALEXANDER CURRY]

[NO. OF FREE SLOTS: 0]

[TO CONTINUE USING THE POSSESSION SYSTEM CERTAIN CRITERIA MUST BE MET MOVING FORWARD. GOOD LUCK]

“To think I used my last free slots on these idiots but since it’s to secure my escape, I guess it was worth it,” Alexander said then suddenly Josh let go of him.

He looked at Josh who seemed really confused while also looking at him.

“Excuse me but who are you? Wait, now that I think about it, who am I?” Josh asked then started looking all over the room in confusion.

Alexander looked at nurse Julie who was about to press the emergency alarm button on the wall but then she stopped and started looking just as lost as Josh was.

“Sorry to bother you but do you know who I am? What’s my name?” Josh tapped Alexander and asked.

Alexander stood up, looked at the man condescendingly from head to toe then replied “Yes. I know your name”

Just then, nurse Julie came to Alexander and asked “Excuse me but do you know my name too?”

Her name tag had fallen during the entire panic and chaos.

Alexander looked at her from head to toe too and replied “Yes. I know your name”

Both she and Josh smiled.

“Great. So, can you tell us what our names are?” Josh asked.

Alexander looked at both of them and said “Your name is the idiotic Grinch and yours is The wicked Witch of the West”

“Oh,” Josh said.

“What a strange name but I guess it’s mine. Thanks” Nurse Julie said, accepting what Alexander said.

Done with everything, Alexander started to head for the exit.

“Umm, excuse me but where are you going?” nurse Julie asked.

“What does it look like? Obviously, I’m leaving. I’m free to do so”

“Okay, but what about us? What should we do?” She asked.

Immediately, a wicked smile crept onto Alexander’s face and as he got to the open door, he turned to both of them and said:

“You two are going to stay here. It won’t be long from now but some very important-looking people are going to come here, looking for someone named Alexander and they are going to ask you what happened here. When that happens, you’re going to tell them that all of you decided to let him escape”

“Escape? Okay, and?” Josh asked

“And you’re going to tell the most important-looking man among the group and his wife to go f*ck themselves. Understand?”

Both Josh and nurse Julie looked at each other then they looked at Alexander and nodded.

“We understand”

“Good. Now, after the people ask you all the questions they have to ask and you’ve replied the exact way I told you to, they are going to give you a very interesting reward. You like rewards don’t you?”

“Who doesn’t like a nice reward” Josh replied cockily.

“Then, don’t forget to tell them exactly what I told you to and the reward will be all yours”

Nurse Julie smiled from ear to ear.

“Alright, we’ll tell them that we let Alexander—whoever that is—escape. Sounds simple enough” she said

Alexander smirked

“Good,” he said then was about to leave but stopped himself and looked at Josh and nurse Julie.

“Yes?” Josh asked.

“Is there something more you want to add?” nurse Julie asked

“I forgot to tell you but when those two eventually wake up they’ll be just as confused as you were. When that happens, you’re going to tell them the same thing I told you so that all four of you reap the rewards”

Alexander looked at the unconscious doctor and Bob on the floor, chuckled, and then left the room. He closed the door on his exit and began walking down the corridor.

Using the memory of the hospital passages he got from his last possession, Alexander easily maneuvered his way toward escaping the building.

As he walked ahead for a short period, he saw one of the security personnel in a confused state, trying to talk to and understand Nurse Rose who had asked for help but couldn’t remember anything about anything the moment he asked her what she needed help with.

Alexander chuckled and then continued his graceful escape until finally he walked out of the hospital building and stood on the sidewalk.

Alexander, with hands in his pockets, looked to the right which is the path to follow if he wanted to return to the Dove estate.

He remembered how terrible his life had been up to that point, especially the last couple of hours since school and he frowned.

[THE GOD OF VENGEANCE IS CURIOUS TO KNOW IF MR. ALEXANDER CURRY IS ABOUT TO TAKE HIS REVENGE ON THOSE WHO HAVE WRONGED HIM?]

Alexander looked down, pondered for a moment, sighed, and then he looked forward.

“No, not yet. I’m yet to fully understand how the possession system works and right now I can’t dish out a vengeance that befits those bastards. For that, I need more power, and by power, I mean social influence. I need enough social influence that’ll allow me to eclipse theirs and for that, I need more money. Money makes this world go round and speaking of money…” Alexander said then cleared his throat.

“System, how many merit points do I have?”

[AFTER BEING GIFTED BY BOTH THE GODS OF VENGEANCE AND POSSESSION, MR. ALEXANDER CURRY NOW HAS A TOTAL OF 30 MERIT POINTS,]

Alexander stroked his chin.

“Hmm, I wonder how much these thirty merit points are worth in actual money. Well, there’s only one way to find out. System, I wish to convert the merit points into money”

[AS MR. ALEXANDER CURRY WISHES]

[CONVERTING ALL MERIT POINTS INTO MONEY]

[CONVERSION PROGRESS: 10%… 27%… 45%… 63%… 89%… 99%… 100%]

[CONVERSATION COMPLETE]

[BALANCE: $3,000,000]

“What the hell?!” Alexander gasped and exclaimed.

“So, do you think you can remember what happened—what exactly caused you to fall into a coma?” Miss Anderson asked gently, her voice laced with curiosity and concern.Sebastian groaned quietly and grimaced, the effort of remembering seeming almost physically painful.“I assumed by now you would’ve reviewed the footage from Stars Garden Incorporated,” he replied with mild surprise, “to piece together what happened that day.”Miss Anderson nodded solemnly. “We did. I went there myself. Retrieved all the security footage they had. I sat down and watched it frame by frame to uncover the truth behind your collapse. But… there was a problem.”Sebastian raised his eyebrows slowly. “A problem? What kind of problem?”“There were gaps in the footage,” she said, her voice growing tighter.“Gaps? Missing footage?” Sebastian nearly jolted upright, his surprise overriding his fatigue for a brief moment.“Apparently, Stars Garden Incorporated has had terrible security protocols for some time now—or

A few seconds later, the last of the family members had reluctantly exited the room, leaving behind the quiet stillness that comes with privacy. The grand door shut gently, creating a momentary hush as Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Sebastian Foster were finally alone—just as Miss Anderson had requested.Sebastian shifted slightly in his bed and cast his gaze toward Alexander, who stood a short distance away. From the patriarch’s perspective, Alexander seemed like the odd one out, a stranger in what was undeniably a deeply personal family moment. His brow furrowed, and he let out a groan of dissatisfaction.“I appreciate everything you did to save my life, young man,” Sebastian said, his voice firm but not unkind. “But if I recall correctly, I asked everyone to leave so I could speak with Anderson in private. That request included you.”Alexander’s expression stiffened slightly. He cast a quick, uneasy glance toward Miss Anderson, silently seeking her help to explain the situation.Mis

Alexander, Miss Anderson, and Nurse Rebecca stood in solemn silence before the large bed, directly facing Sebastian Foster and the gathered members of the Foster family who stood or sat by his side. The atmosphere in the room was charged with tension, relief, and anticipation—each person processing the patriarch's recovery in their own way.Sebastian’s weary eyes scanned the faces before him. When they landed on Miss Anderson, his expression softened with a trace of sorrow and gratitude.“I was told I’m only alive because you donated a significant amount of your blood for my treatment,” he said quietly, his voice weak but full of sincerity. “I’m extremely grateful to you, Anderson. I truly am.”Despite being too fatigued to move with any vigor, he tried to bow his head in acknowledgment, the effort itself speaking volumes about his appreciation.“It’s no problem, Dad,” Miss Anderson replied with a gentle, almost tearful smile. “After all, what’s family for, if not for this?”The word

“Huh?” Nurse Rebecca quickly stood upright from checking the IV needle in Miss Anderson’s arm and turned to face Alexander with a puzzled expression.“If she can’t move on her own because she’s too weak, then we can just put her in a wheelchair and roll her over to the patriarch’s room,” Alexander suggested, speaking with calm practicality. “That’s assuming there’s a wheelchair around here somewhere. But considering this building has been operating almost like a private hospital for one person over the past three years, I’m almost certain there has to be one nearby.”Miss Anderson’s lips curved into a playful smirk. She tilted her head slightly toward Nurse Rebecca and said with a knowing glint in her eyes, “There is a wheelchair somewhere around here, isn’t there?”She wasn’t just guessing—she knew. She had visited the estate multiple times over the past three years and was confident that she had seen a wheelchair at least once before during her rounds.“Yes,” Nurse Rebecca admitted,

"Master Sebastian has woken up and has specifically requested to see you, Miss Anderson, as well as Sir Alexander, the man who cured him of his life-threatening illness," Sonia announced with a calm but proud tone. Her words seemed to echo through the room like a divine proclamation.Miss Anderson’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief and emotional shock."What... what did you just say?" she asked, her voice trembling with excitement and uncertainty. The hope surging through her veins made her wonder if she had actually heard the words correctly or if her mind had conjured up a hallucination driven by desperation and longing.“I said that the patriarch is awake,” Sonia repeated patiently, her warm voice carrying a hint of relief, “and he would very much like to see the two of you—both you, Miss Anderson, and Sir Alexander. Though he remains somewhat fatigued and is currently resting, he made it quite clear that your presence is deeply important to him. So, if you could find it within your

Because Sarah had passed away and the financial support she once relied on had come to an abrupt end, Sebastian Foster took it upon himself to secure a future for the two daughters she left behind. He created a trust fund in their names, using his immense wealth to ensure that they would be provided for—without ever knowing the true source of the money. To preserve the illusion and protect the fragile truth, he had the bank—which he discreetly owned—pretend that it was Sarah who had established the trust before her death. The fund was sizable—large enough to sustain both Miss Anderson and her younger sister from adolescence into adulthood. It covered their educational expenses, living costs, and any additional support they might need. It was designed to give them access to the finest schools, tutors, and opportunities that money could buy. As a result, the sisters enrolled in the most prestigious high school in the city. When Miss Anderson graduated with top honors, she chose to atten
