Meanwhile, Mr. Bill Wilson sat close to a priest, his head lowered as he sighed deeply.

“I’m going to hell and I know.” He muttered in a painful and regretful tone. “But there's something I fear more than going to hell… And that's not receiving his forgiveness for the evil I have done to destroy his life.”

The priest sighed, studying him, “Your own mind is keeping you in hell. It's time you confessed the truth and freed yourself from this burden called guilt.”

Bill hesitated as if thinking deep into his advice. “The truth?” He mumbled under his breath as he slowly recalled what happened several years ago. How the car exploded right in front of him, leaving him on the walking stick he uses till this present day.

“He will never forgive me.” Mr. Bill stood from his seat and slowly walked out. Perhaps, the truth was best left unknown.

Meanwhile, Clara and Lucas were not just dumbfounded by the manager's words, they asked to see Dexter's receipt to confirm.

Lucas suddenly became speechless.

That's right. The VIP table cost a lot! There's no way in hell he could afford that, which is why he went for the $750! It was the least he could afford since he had spent almost all his salary and monthly allowance in the club.

“This is insane! Dexter can't afford this! – Did you steal money from one of the workers? And… since when did you have a wife?!” Clara was clearly still in denial as she tried to process everything.

Can't they see how poorly he looks? He couldn't even afford to breathe in a place like this!

She was convinced that Dexter saw her post online and decided to come ruin her date!

He was clearly trying to spite her or make her jealous since they just broke up!

And the women next to him? Damn she was drop dead gorgeous! Her skin was delicate and smooth! Even Lucas couldn't help but stare.

“Do I teach you your job?” Dexter frowned at the manager, not giving Clara and her man a glance.

“Sir, Ma'am, I'm afraid you two will have to move to the regular table…”

“Yes, the one meant for the regular customers.” Dexter chimed him as if trying to spite Clara, and he didn't miss. His words sank into her chest and got her glaring at him with a mixture of pain and bitterness.

She stole a glance at the regular section and it was clearly nothing like the VIP table! It was crowded with customers, and wasn't aesthetically pleasing as this section.

She had already posted a picture of her being in the VIP table with Lucas. What if someone recognises her?

No! She wasn't going to let Dexter rub this in her, so she didn't accept moving down to the other section. “We were here first. Is it our fault? Scold your employee instead.” She crossed her hand over her chest before whispering to Lucas, “I thought you booked the VIP table?”

“I thought so too.” Lucas whispered in shock. But deep down, he knew this was all he could afford. The intercontinental dishes were already a lot for him to pay…

The manager cleared his throat. “That’s not a problem. The employee will be punished. You just have to pay and remain on the table since you two are already here.” He explained calmly.

Seeing that the manager was getting impatient with them, Clara slowly turned to Lucas. A nobody like Dexter shouldn't make them move to the regular table…

To save face, she calmly persuaded Lucas to pay at the table, “After all, our dishes have been served here. It will be a shame for a waiter to escort us there.” He gestured to the regular customers with disgust.

Lucas smirked, nodding in agreement. “Don’t you worry honey. We aren't moving. If Dexter can afford it, then so can I.” His mocking remarks made Dexter chuckle slightly.

Lucas wasn't moved. He was sure this poor dog had bribed someone to get in here… but either way, he's richer, and could double any amount that Dexter pays.

Clara chuckled, leaning her head on Lucas' chest, her eyes fixed on Dexter like she just defeated him. “Oh, baby… I know things like this are a piece of cake for you.”

“How much is it… I'll pay with my card..” Lucas asked pridefully.

The manager smiled, “Seven thousand dollars, sir. May I have your card?” He stretched his hands forward.

The smirk on Lucas' face faded instantly.

His hold on Clara softened and he immediately stopped himself from pulling his card out.

The amount he heard got him shivering that he had to confirm the price, just to be sure he wasn't hearing things. “7-7 what?” His lips quivered.

“You seem to be asking too many questions for a person who can double anything I pay.” Dexter calmly remarks.
