The chairman got involved, and as Dexter tried to defend himself, Sarah had enough proof, even when he suggested they checked the CCTV camera. The way he scanned the purse for minutes, convinced them that he had the intention of stealing.

Dexter shook his head. He knew he should have never thought of Clara when he saw that purse. These rich people always find a way to treat him less of a person.

Lucky for him, he was too useful at times like this to be fired. His knowledge came in handy on what most of them couldn't handle, so he was pardoned by the chairman.

“You might have been lucky this time, I'm not sure about next time!” Sarah spat and stormed off.

But Dexter has had enough! When he was done with work, he grabbed his jacket and went straight to Funds Banks.

“Good day, ma'am, I'd love to speak with the manager. I don't have a bank card, so I wanna get one.” He uttered politely, but the calm smile on the lady's face was replaced with a frown as she scanned Dexter's old clothes and shoes.

“Perhaps you lost your way… you only see the manager on important transactions. There..” The manager's secretary pointed at the front desk receptionist, “... that's where general customers go to. Especially the ones with cards.” She gave him a quick once-over.

Dexter narrowed his eyes calmly, “I am a customer, If you don't mind…”

“I mind!” She brushed his words off. Funds Bank was for the one of one in Greenville. Even their regular customers don't look like a dehydrated ghost or as malnourished as he looked.

She was convinced he is one of those frauds who walk into banks claiming to be a customer while trying to scam people.

“I might be forced to call the security officers if you don't..” Just then her phone started ringing. After picking it up, she pointed at Dexter, “I don't wanna see you here when I'm back. Don't make me act irrational.” She said and hurriedly walked away like there was a state of emergency.

After waiting for a few minutes, Dexter just knocked on the manager's door, and when he answered him, he walked in. By this time, the secretary was rushing back but there was no way she could stop him as he had shut the door behind him.

Dexter went straight to the point and explained why he was there to the manager, and though he was puzzled, he tried to mask it. “Let me get this straight. You don't have a card and would like to get one since your money has been wired into your Funds Bank account?”

As Dexter nods, the manager tried to study his face.

He knows most of the customers in Funds Bank like the back of his palm, and he had never seen this man before.

Sitting up, he said, “If you didn't have a card, there's no way you can have access to your account except you uses your thumb.”

But that was for the users with the biggest amount… the billionaires in pounds, Euros and dollars. And there were only a few customers with that status. In fact, he could count them.. And this man isn't one of them.

“I know, which is why I'm here to use my thumb.” As Dexter explained, the man was skeptical, considering Dexter's poor look.

He was convinced that this man was a con artist, but he just wanted to prove that, so he will call the cops at once.

He urged Dexter to place his thumb on the system, so they would start the procedure.

Beep!

A red sign beeped indicating an invalid authorisation.

The manager paused, and narrowed his eyes at Dexter.

Dexter noticed the spiteful look and said, “Oh, shit. Perhaps it’s my other thumb. Let's try this one.” He brought forth his other thumb and when they tried it, it still didn't work.

Invalid!

“Maybe it's not my thumb. Let's try my pinky finger.”

But these words didn't sit well with the manager as he got furious, “And then when your pinky finger doesn't work, which other finger are you going to try? Your index finger? Your middle finger? And when the rest doesn't work, your toes are the next in line?!” He frowned deeply.

But Dexter insisted on his pinky finger then a green sign beeped on the system and the authorization was completed.

The man's eyes lit up and his harsh demeanor changed instantly. Then he started apologising, and humbling himself before Dexter. “Forgive my foolishness, sir…”

Dexter cut him short, “It's fine, just get me the card, my wife is waiting for me at home.”

“Oh, yes… the card…the card..” The manager nervously rushed to the system, adjusting his glasses as he began the process.

After a brief second, the manager brought a black card and said, “You have to put your pin to activate the card.” And when Dexter did, his account balance appeared on the screen.

Seeing this, the manager stood in a daze, his mouth heavy with words. Never in his wildest dreams has he thought a day would come where he would stand face to face with a Trillionaire in Euros!

He almost went on his knees but Dexter stopped him. “Allow me, please, I have offended you with my doubtful words. I almost had you kicked out.” His voice was trembling and so was his heart.

He knew multimillionaires like this. The ones who dressed nothing like their net worth to keep people off their backs!

The amount on his card will feed the whole country for years!

This man was no ordinary man! He even noticed that the name attached to the account had several billions in it. His fingerprint must have been placed there years ago!

“It takes nothing to be nice.” Dexter took his card, smiled at him and left. But the manager was yet to snap out of the state of shock.

Immediately Dexter walked out of the elevator, the secretary from earlier ran up to him, placing her hands on him as if to search him. “Where is it you asshole! I warned you not to get into my boss' office didn't I? Where the fuck is it!” She shouted, dipping her hands in and out of his pocket.

Even when Dexter tried to stop the harassment, she didn't stop, “Where is what? Hey, don't touch me!” He tried holding her hands, and soon, their little struggle got the attention of so many people, including the esteemed customer of the organisation.

“What you stole from my boss' office! Give it to me!” She shouted. He didn't just take long to come out, she was sure her boss wasn't in, because if he was, he would never have entertained a person who looks like he begs under the local bridge.

“Are you accusing me? I said stop!”

But she didn't listen. She kept cussing and searching him like he was a thief. Then a black card fell from Dexter's pocket.

She quickly picked it up, and started shaking her head in disbelief. “You shameless thief!” She knew he was up to no good when she saw him earlier!

She recalled he told her he didn't have a card, and suddenly he has a black card In his pocket?

She immediately concluded he stole it from her boss. She yelled, calling the security immediately.

Just then, the manager walked out of his office and his eyes fell on the commotion outside his office.

Funds Bank was a global bank exclusive for the rich. This is going to get a bad reputation, so he rushed towards them.

“Oh, thank goodness, you're here, sir..” The secretary rushed to him, handing the black card to him, “Here… This thief took this from your office even when I stopped the bastard from going in!” She pointed at Dexter, “I caught that dog red handed, so don't worry, I already called the guards. I'll make sure they deal him!”

By the time the manager noticed the card looked familiar, he turned his gaze to the man his secretary pointed at and his jaw literally dropped.

His head buzzed as his secretary kept calling him names. “He's the one who stole this card?” He froze. Mr. Wilson was no ordinary man! Does she have any idea who she's dealing with?!

“That's right! We have to teach this piece of shit a lesson.” She regarded Sixt with disdain. "The cops will be the best to handle criminals like…”

The manager was taken aback for a second. “What?” He muttered, his heart racing fast due to the young man's intimidating presence.

Smack!

“Ah! You fool!” The manager spat, hitting the receptionist hard on the face. “Are you out of your mind! This is Mr. Wilson! How dare you call such a respected and powerful man a thief!” He barked breathlessly. “If Funds Bank loses this important customer because of your stupidity and lack of professionalism, I'll kill you myself!”

Her mind immediately went blank and she felt her world stop for a second.

Even the crowd stood there with their mouths agape and shifted their gaze at Dexter in shock.

Her lips quivered that she lowered her head in fear and shame, trying to massaged her burning cheek.

How is this possible? How would a powerful person be wearing bargained outfits?

“But…” She stammered, unable to defend herself as her body turned cold.

She couldn't even dare not look at either of them.

“I didn't know workers harass customers in your bank.” Dexter had a dissatisfied expression.

The manager humbly bowed his head in fear, “My sincere apologies, Mr. Wilson, I promise on my life that this foolishness will never happen again. And I will personally see to it that she's fired from our organisation.”

Then he immediately turned to his secretary, “I’ll make sure you never get employed anywhere In the world! – security! Throw this woman out!” This will serve as a warning to the incompetent ones.

The secretary's head buzzed and her heart started pounding loudly. “No…no.. please..”
