Michael stared at Susan as she wrapped her bathrobe tightly around herself. His head was pounding, but the anger inside him was already beginning to boil.

"Are you okay, Michael?" Susan asked, her voice soft and sweet. She stepped closer to the bed, reaching out to touch his forehead. "You drank way too much last night."

Michael flinched and pulled back, avoiding her hand. "What are you even doing here, Susan? How did I end up in this hotel with you?"

Susan smiled gently, looking at him with an affection that felt completely out of place. "Don't you remember? You called me last night, Michael. You asked me to meet you here."

"I called you?" Michael asked, his forehead knotting in disbelief.

"Yes," Susan said, sitting on the edge of the mattress. "You sounded so breathless on the phone. You told me you needed me. And when I got here... well, you were so passionate, Michael. It felt like we were newlyweds again. Honestly, it was so sweet and fulfilling. I haven't seen that side of you in years."

Michael stared at her, his stomach churning. ‘I called her?’ There was no way. He had just discovered the biggest betrayal of his life. Why on earth would he reach out to the woman who cheated on him and ask her for a passionate night in a hotel?

"That's impossible," Michael muttered, reaching for his phone on the nightstand.

He unlocked the screen with trembling fingers and opened his call history. His eyes widened. Right there, timestamped late last night, was an outgoing call to Susan.

His mind went completely blank. How could that be? Had he really gotten so drunk that his body just acted on habit? But as he tried to piece together his foggy memories, something felt deeply wrong.

He remembered screaming in the car. He remembered grabbing a woman's shoulders in the dark. And he vaguely remembered running his hands through short, shoulder-length hair during the heat of the night.

Michael looked up at Susan. Her long, elegant hair reached all the way down her back.

‘Did I remember it wrong?’ Michael thought, rubbing his temples in frustration. ‘Was it just the alcohol playing tricks on my brain?’

He didn't have any answers, and his head felt like it was going to explode. He forced the strange memory to the back of his mind. He had far more important things to deal with right now.

Susan reached out to touch his knee. "Michael, what's wrong? You look so distant."

"Don't touch me," Michael said coldly. He swung his legs out of bed and stood up, pulling his pants on.

"Michael! What is wrong with you?" Susan asked, her voice dropping its sweet tone. "I come here, I give you an amazing night, and you treat me like trash?"

Michael didn't answer. He reached into his coat pocket hanging over a chair, pulled out a folded set of documents, and threw them straight onto the bed in front of her.

"Explain this," Michael said, his voice deadly serious.

Susan picked up the paper, her eyes skimming the text. For a fraction of a second, her face went completely pale. Her eyes widened in panic, but just as quickly, she forced her expression back to a cool, calm mask.

She tossed the paper back onto the bed. "What is this trash, Michael? A paternity test? Where did you even get this fake document?"

"It's not fake, Susan!" Michael snapped, his voice rising sharply. "That is a DNA test for Leo and Maya! Maya is my daughter. Leo is not! Care to explain how that happens with twins conceived after our wedding night?!"

"This is ridiculous," Susan said, standing up and folding her arms. "You brought me a piece of paper and expect me to take it seriously? Someone is playing a prank on you, Michael. Or maybe you forged it yourself just to start a fight!"

"I am a doctor, Susan!" Michael yelled, his hands shaking with rage. "I didn't just print this off the internet! I ran the tests myself! I sent samples through multiple judicial laboratories and anonymous testing centers! The results came back identical every single time! There is zero error! Leo is NOT my son!"

Susan didn't answer the question. She didn't deny sleeping with someone else. Instead, her eyes narrowed, and her posture became stiff and defensive.

"How dare you?" Susan shouted, stepping right into his face. "How dare you go behind my back and test our children's DNA?! Do you have any idea how disrespectful that is to me?! I am your wife! I am the chairwoman of Sterling Enterprise! And you treat me like some cheap, untrustworthy woman?!"

Michael stared at her, completely stunned by her reaction. "Are you serious right now? You're yelling at me for taking a test, while ignoring the fact that you cheated on me?!"

"I am yelling at you because you don't trust me!" Susan screamed, her voice echoing in the hotel room. "I have given you everything! I brought you into high society! I gave you a life most people can only dream of, and this is how you repay me? By doubting my loyalty over some stupid laboratory mistake?!"

Michael let out a bitter, lifeless laugh. "You really are incredible, Susan. You get caught red-handed, and somehow you turn it around to make yourself the victim." He shook his head, looking at her with total disgust. "I'm done. I can't do this anymore. I want a divorce."

The word hung heavily in the air.

Susan’s face hardened into stone. "A divorce? Are you out of your mind, Michael?"

"I've never been clearer in my life," Michael said, grabbing his shirt and pulling it over his head. "I am filing for divorce, and I will be taking full custody of Maya."

Susan let out a cold, sharp laugh. "You want to divorce me? Michael, take a look at yourself! What are you without me? You're just a nobody doctor working on a middle-class salary! I built your reputation! My family's money pays for your comfortable lifestyle, your car, the very roof over your head! Without me, you are absolute nothing in this city!"

Susan paced back and forth in front of her office windows, her phone pressed tight against her ear. Her voice was sharp, desperate, and unyielding."I don't care what it takes, Margaret! You make him drop this absurd idea of a divorce!" Susan demanded, her breath hitching as she looked out over the city skyline. "I am going to visit him again tonight. I will change his mind myself! But before I get there, you need to soften him up!"On the other end of the line, Margaret stood outside the hotel doors, pulling her coat tight around her shoulders. She hesitated, her eyes narrowing as a cold calculation crossed her mind."Susan, if he continues to be this stubborn, can I use special means?" Margaret asked quietly. "Legal pressure, financial threats... whatever it takes to break his resolve?"There was a brief pause on the line. Susan’s knuckles turned white around her phone."Do it," Susan whispered bitterly. "Threaten him, squeeze him... just make sure he doesn't sign those court papers

It picked up on the very first ring."Margaret?!" Susan’s frantic voice echoed through the speaker. "Did the results come back?! What do they say?!"Margaret took a deep breath, her face grim in the dim light of her office. "Susan... the results are in. They checked the samples from Michael and Leo.""And?!" Susan shouted, her voice trembling with intense panic. "It's a mistake, right?! Tell me it's a mistake!""Susan... the report states that Michael and Leo are not biologically related," Margaret said quietly."WHAT?!"
