Once Ragnar was sure his roommates had gone to bed, he quickly got to work. They had been all over him, trying to make him confess the reason his bloodline awakened the ability to heal itself. But no matter how they asked, he denied it fervently not admitting he had an encounter.
The Void ice archive was a peerless treasure that nearly ruined the world the last time it appeared. Now, people no longer remember what it should look like. He must absolutely never admit he had such a thing.
With how weak his current self was, stealing the archive would be as easy as snatching candy from a baby.
Ragnar’s fingers tapped against his thigh, his brain working like a clock. After some minutes of consideration, he made a choice.
“Best techniques to make money.” He muttered, under the blanket, touching the pendant.
A series of information flooded into his brain, listing abilities and what they could do.
After thirty minutes of careful consideration, he picked one of the pamphlets floating in the space before him.
“I choose the golden eyes techniques.”
The moment the words left his lips, the pamphlet turned to a streak of light, and disappeared into his body. Instantly, his blue eyes flashed a fiery gold, exposing the power beneath.
Unexpectedly, he didn't need to waste time learning it. The technique automatically fused into his body, making it a part of his natural abilities.
He sat up and looked around the room. Something green was glowing under Vonn's desk.
‘Imperial green jade.’ The words came to his mind as if he had always known this.
Vonn was into stone gambling, so he had a pile of uncut stones he just purchased.
Unexpectedly, the moment Ragnar fused with the techniques, he could see the interior of the stones clearly. The quality, purity, and color was visible at a glance.
His heart began to pound, blood roaring in his ears. Wasn't this a cheat code?
With this in his hands, he could cheat his way into lasting wealth. He could engage in jade gambling and sweep the market clean, clearing both the dealers’ capital and profits into his own pockets. He just unlocked a golden meal card.
The celadons in their room now appeared extraordinary in his eyes. He could see those that were real antiques, and those that were replicas.
“Wow! Just wow!” The excitement bubbling in his chest made his toes curl and he kept nodding like a lizard, his teeth exposed in a wide grin.
“Could this ability also be used to detect stocks?”
In Ragnar’s previous life, he had dabbled in stocks. However, trading stocks had been so uncertain that he decided to abandon it and focus on other business ventures. If this golden eye technique could also be used for trading stocks, he wouldn't need to fear making losses.
He opened his advanced computer system.
The computers available in Ragnar's time were advanced, and could be used for numerous things. Unlike twenty-first century devices, it was faster, more accurate, and multifaceted.
Ragnar had one of the best computers with a 10G network connectivity.
He navigated to his dormant stock trading account, and opened it to look at the stock market. The normally blank charts appeared especially colorful tonight.
Some of the stocks were marked gold, some were marked green, and some others were marked red.
His eyes narrowed and he leaned closer to the screen.
“Gold should be the stocks with the highest return potential, red should be the ones that would make a loss. What's the stocks marked green supposed to be?” Ragnar intoned, his fingers tracing along the lines.
Before he could find the answer, he felt one of his roommates turning in his bed. He froze and quickly shut down the computer.
As silent as a mouse, he slipped under his sheets, and closed his eyes pretending to sleep. They were already suspicious of him. He couldn't afford to do any other strange things that might arouse more questions.
Ragnar sighed softly, adjusting his position beneath the blanket.
“I need startup capital, where am I going to get enough cash? I think I only have a couple hundred thousand left.”
He hissed, his heart filled with regret. He really wasted a lot of money on Aria, now he was broke.
Ragnar could ask his sister for money, but he didn't dare to. He already owed her too much. He would have to figure out a way to raise the money on his own.
Money. Even the items required to reverse the ritual Kelvin and Mathilda used to swap his talent and cultivation would also need money to procure. They were all rare treasures that could only be bought from auctions held by powerful cultivation sects.
With his current ability, he truly couldn't afford them on his own. But involving his sister might tip off the enemy since they're wary of her and placed her under constant surveillance.
“It seems I will focus on making money first. Cultivation can wait.”
Soon, he drifted into a deep sleep. Once again, he found himself at Frostfang abyss, struggling to breathe.

SKY HOSTEL [ARIA'S ROOM]Aria hissed for the umpteenth time. It's been more than twelve hours. She even made the compromise of calling him. The bastard didn't actually pick up. Her face darkened, lines of fury appearing between her brows. She turned to the girl she had sent to summon Ragnar earlier in the day. “Vanessa, are you sure you made it clear to him?”The girl was sitting dejectedly on a wooden chair, rubbing boiled egg against the injury Thane bestowed on her. Resentment bubbled in her chest. “I did. He ignored me.” She pointed to the slight bruise on her forehead. “His roommates even humiliated me.”Aria's brows furrowed in deep thoughts. What could have gone wrong? Normally, if she acts dissatisfied, Ragnar would be running up and down, luxury products in hand, begging her to forgive and take him back. Why hasn't he showed up yet? One of the girls sitting on the upper bunk leaned towards Aria. “Could it be that he's pissed off? Earlier in the court, he seemed really furi

Ch. 006 Obtaining healing attributes
Ragnar shook his head. No! He had to crush them completely. His finger pressed on the locket again, and he found himself inside the space. In the middle of the library was a huge stone monument, listing what the archive was and whom it was created for. The history of the timeless ice monarch was carefully narrated. Ragnar went slack jawed. “My ancestor was actually this awesome?”The more he read, the harder his heart pounded, faster, excitement boiling in his veins. He wanted to engage in his own conquests too. He wanted to carve his name into history, creating a legacy which time could never wash away. “Just like my ancestor, I will become the most powerful being in existence. I'm the descendant of the immortal clan, with a dragon god maternal line. I cannot be mediocre.”For the first time, he saw something other than revenge on his path. Sovereignty. He walked closer to the stone monument, and placed his palm on it, his eyes burning with a yearning so formidable. “I want powe
Ch. 005 Awakening the Void Ice archive
Ragnar hurried through the academy's streets which were paved with runic obsidian slabs. If the light would explode like before, he had the perfect place for it, where no one would see it. Imperial elite academy was Vaelon's most important magic academy. Every powerful family in the country wants their kids to attend Imperial elite magic academy—even if they didn't have a shred of magical talent. The Imperial elite differs in the sense that it built a structure where every smart student could be influential after school. From middle school, the mage professors examine students yearly to check for awakened talents. Those with magical abilities were sent to the Mage faculty, and were trained to be powerful combat masters capable of leading interspace battles. For those without magical abilities, they're left in the finance faculty, with an option to divert to sports and entertainment. There, they're trained to be powerful businessmen and super stars. So that even without magic, the

Emerald lake hostelRagnar returned to his hostel room, his brain working a mile a minute. The moment he opened the door, a head popped out from the upper bunk. “Ragnar, is it true?”The excited words caused him to jump, looking up at the person grinning at him. He was back in his room, with his three roommates. The one who asked the question was a blue eyed blonde, radiating a bit of rakish charm. He was Thane, the son of a famous hotelier. “What?” The words were forced out. Ragnar's eyes felt misty. He couldn't believe he could see Thane again. In his past life because they kept warning him about Aria, she got him to cut them off. Yet when he was trapped under a collapsed mountain, it was Thane that risked his life to pull him out, ending up with a crippled left leg because of a boulder that fell while he was carrying Ragnar out. Now that he thought about it, he had such good friends, but never cherished them. “We saw the video on the students’ hangout group. You really broke
Ch. 003 Reborn: Back to the academy
Imperial elite magic academyA flash of light exploded in Ragnar's mind. Then came the sounds. At first, they seemed muffled, like echoes from another world. But gradually, they became clear. And most of it wasn't anything good. A flower bouquet blocked his vision the moment he opened his eyes. Then he realized he was kneeling. His head snapped up, his eyes going straight to the face of the woman before him. Her jaw was tilted arrogantly, a disdainful smirk playing around her lips. Ragnar was confused. ‘Wasn't I dead?’ He looked around, seeing the throng of students surrounding them and pointing at him. This was the Imperial Elite Academy. The scene felt awfully familiar. He was back to when he was seventeen—fifteen years before the tragedy at Frostfang Abyss. ‘I was reborn!’The realization hit him like a high speed train, then came joy. He truly came back, to before he married the beast. “What are you zoning out for? Aria asked you to kiss her feet.” An auburn haired girl hi
