Derrick picked up the manual Edgar had given him. The man had emphasized it so much that it would be a little foolish not to read it.

And Derrick needed to know what was going to happen from here.

Edgar did not behave like a guide at all and just left him with vague guidance.

Derrick himself was too lazy to ask the man anything. Since there was a handy book here that did not require him to associate with anybody, why not?

He started reading the manual. Its content was pretty easy to understand. Derrick had just found out that this organization was called the Martial Arts Training Academy.
