CHAPTER 48: THE INVITATION
The trio headed into the building. "Wow! It's even larger on the inside." Rashen commented.There was an air of modernity in the building that Rashen rarely ever sees in Grittshore. The floors were tiled, the walls of the building were as white as ghosts and hanging on the ceilings were chandeliers.They headed over to the reception were a woman, looking about Nanalie's age,was seated. CHAPTER 47: SINN ESTATE
The trio had left for the Sinn Estate as early as possible on Macy's request. Despite the fact that it was just before the break of dawn,they still managed to find a carriage that would take them there.Both Gayle and Rashen kept dozing off on the carriage ride and Macy kept having to wake them up. When Gayle dozed off again she slapped him awake in frustration. "Dammit Macy!" He exclaimed. "Stop dozing off! We're here on serious business." She said. "I reckon it's way too early in the morning for serious business." Gayle said rubbing his cheek. "I'll have to agree with Gayle on this one." Rashen yawned. "Why do we have to be here so early in the morning?" He asked. "So we don't have to deal with the Sinn Sentries." Macy said, pinching a dozing Gayle awake. "Sinn Sentries?" Rashen asked "They're like that Grittshore Watch but exclusively for the estate." Macy answered. "What are they like?" Rashen asked. "They're bottom of the barrel individuals Rashen." Macy snarled. 46: TEST RESULTS
It had been two weeks since Macy and Nanalie met with the practitioner, two weeks since Rashen and Gayle interrogated Nigksy the Gutter. In those two weeks the trio had patrolled all of Blud Valley as well as the Outer sections of Blak Acre but have found nothing that could lead them to the original distributors of the drug, not even the suppliers could be found. Rashen and Gayle would occasionally track down and interrogate Nigsky in the hopes that he would have found new information, but Nigsky was useless, they couldn’t interrogate the other victims because they were still in critical states as well. What frustrated Rashen the most was that in the two weeks that they hadn’t found any leads or clues, four more people ended up hospitalized because of the mystery drug. Coupled with the persistence of small scale crime in Grittshore, Rashen was reaching was reaching the limits of his patience. CHAPTER 45: GOOD SOLDIER BAD SOLDIER
In a particular bar in Blak Acre,the Goddess Spit,sat a crusty,hairy and unkept drunk. Sticking out of the pocket of his coat was a rusty dagger. He downed a jug of beer and slammed it on the counter demanding another. The workers as well as other customers found him incredibly annoying and overbearing. It had been over an hour since Rashen arrived at the Grittshore Watch Headquarters with Ridnik in arms. He sat in one of the many rooms in the building together with Garle,Hanabi,Miss Marun,Macy and Gayle. As they sat there in silence,Nanalie arrived. Garle was the first to ask her,"How is he Nanalie?"
