Hunter spent the whole week planning for their wedding; there are a few things left to do since Master Pritt ensured everything would be done smoothly.

Olivia refused to speak with Hunter. She still felt hostile, as always; she was staying in her friend’s condo, which he let; if this was her way to accept the situation, he let her do it; she had a week to prepare herself. He may sound nonchalant, but his heart feels empty, knowing that he have to deal with this feeling for the rest of my life.

“Hey, you, okay?” Liana, Hunter’s best friend, pat him that pushed him out from his reverie, “You look awful, dude, come on, try this; I saw a cute petite girl down there; I’ll just drop my hi,”

Hunter scoff, “Oh come on, Lia, don’t rush, and just insert those five on her; I’ll be patiently waiting for you here, no pressure,”

He heard her laugh before exiting the boutique; she’s a lesbian, and when she said she would drop her hi, it meant she’s going to fuck that woman; it’s always a target lock.

She usually goes back three to four hours after saying she’ll drop; well, at least she’s enjoying her life right now.

Liana accompanied Hunter to choose his shoes since Olivia went to work today; she said she had a lot of paper works to do since she’ll be taking a wedding leave; she just texted Hunter that today was supposed to be their schedule fitting of the clothes, but she said, she’ll do hers on the other day.

A phone call stopped him from thinking, it was from an unknown number, although, it hasn’t had a name on it, Hunter knew who was calling him, after three rings, he finally answered the phone, “Hello,” he said in a flat tone.

“Boss, we need you right now,” a familiar voice, spoke on the other line, “The Silva crane has been keeping their eyes on us, and wants to claim us, as his servant, can you please meet him, for once?”

Hunter’s brow furrowed, “Alfred, you know I’m getting married, I can’t let anyone ruin my plans,”

“Please boss,” a long pause on the other line, until Hunter heard a sigh, “Please boss, just this once, show as the mafia boss we’ve been serving for years,”

Hunter sighed heavy, “Call me tomorrow,” he said, after a long pause, and he ended the call. Hunter came back from choosing, but his mind were long gone, thinking about his people, waiting for him.

“Hi, Mr. Dimitri, have you chosen your shoes?” Amelia, one of the co-owner, approached me; I’ve been here for a couple of hours; I shyly looked at her, and she chuckled, realizing my answer, “May I recommend some designs that will perfectly suit your motif?”

I immediately nod, “Yes, please, thank you. Ms. Amelia,”

“Please come with me,” she guided me to the next room, where I stayed; inside, there were different sets and designs of shoes, “This is our limited-edition pairs; I have these three pairs, you can choose from,” she said, and get the three black shoes with different cuts, and designs, A Diciannoveventitre Derby Shoe, dark burgundy, horse leather, this cost a hundred and seventy thousand sol,”

Hunter looked at it, it’s been a while since he held a luxurious item, “This must be second or third model for this year,” Hunter halt, “This is a good choice,”

She smiled at me, “Mr. Pritt reminded us to go with whatever you choose, and don’t worry about the amount, so you have the freedom to choose,”

“I’ll probably be wearing that at the wedding; then it will live and die on the cabinet,” the manager laugh with his snide remark.

In the end, He chose plain yet elegant brown leather shoes; After the fitting, he went to the hotel where their wedding will hold; Hunter had a long, tiring, yet fulfilling day; he just hoped Olivia was with him in the process.

THIS is the day Hunter has been waiting for, their wedding day. Three days before the wedding, Olivia spoke with Hunter, asking for forgiveness for her rude behavior, and even asked him to see her wedding dress, to which he immediately agreed. He wanted to make everything works out.

God must have heard my prayers and decided to give me a happy ending. He thought. Guests, bride’s maids, and groomsmen were happily chatting with each other, they still had fifteen minutes before the ceremony started, and Hunter is started to feel heavy.

Some of his friends, we’re here; Liana kept on smirking and winking at him; she knows how to annoy his friend Hunter don’t have many guests because he chose not to invite them; he don’t want to cause any trouble on his wedding day, and because of his decision to make a life from scratch, he didn’t have the time to actually make friends, not on his real self.

“Mr. Dimitri, the ceremony is about to start. Would you please stand at the end of the aisle? The wedding car is about to arrive,” Hunter sigh in relief, He was thinking all night that Olivia might have a cold-feet and decide not to appear at their wedding, however, Hunter thought that he won her heart this time, “The bride is arriving!” this time, A voice echoed through the whole hall.

The wide door opens, and light fills the whole room; Mr. Johnson wants their wedding to be like Olivia’s late mom, flowery, like a fairytale, surrounded by people who are genuinely happy about their wedding,

But Hunter’s happiness comes with great heartbreak, for it wasn’t Olivia who entered; it was the crying Nadia—her maid of honor while holding a letter.

“I’m sorry, she was long gone when I saw her letter,”

The whole place was filled with crowds different opinions, about Olivia, not showing to their wedding. Brokenhearted Hunter, was staring blankly, so, this is why I feel odd? My instinct never fail me. He thought to himself.

Hunter’s phone rang, Exasperation starts to fill Hunter’s chest, he did everything he can, to make them work, but this is how Olivia give back, he scoop his phone on his inside pocket, and answer the call.

“Boss,” Hunter heard one of his loyal people, “We are all gathered, and is been waiting for you, are you coming?”

Hunter’s bitterly chuckled, “Looks like, destiny keeps on playing with my life, Alfred,”

“Boss..” Alfred didn’t know what to say, Hunter as a boss don’t usually show his fragile side, he is best known for being nonchalant.

“Pick me now, I think I have to go back home,”

The early autumn air was crisp and fresh, with the leaves of the trees around the village beginning to show the first signs of turning golden. The days were getting shorter, and the nights cool and still. Lorelei and Hunter had settled into a rhythm, their days filled with work on the community projects, quiet evenings together, and the deep connection that had only grown stronger since their wedding. The village was thriving under Lorelei’s leadership, and Hunter was proud of everything they had accomplished together, but there was something else stirring within her that neither of them had expected—something they didn’t fully understand yet.It began one quiet evening, a few weeks after their wedding, when Lorelei had been feeling unusually tired. She had chalked it up to the long hours spent organizing projects, coordinating with builders for the school, and overseeing the development of the medical clinic. She’d been working relentlessly, pouring every ounce of her energy into the

The morning of the wedding arrived, bathed in golden light, as if the universe itself was eager to celebrate the union of two souls destined to build a future together. The village, though small, was bustling with excitement.Every corner was adorned with vibrant flowers, and colorful ribbons hung from the trees, swaying gently in the early breeze. A long wooden arch, draped in ivy and blooms, stood proudly at the edge of the riverbank near Lorelei’s grandmother’s house, the place where so much of their love had blossomed. Today, the village would witness the beginning of a new chapter for two of its own—the woman who had long been the heart of the community and the man who had, against all odds, found his place among them. The Brotherhood had arrived earlier in the week, their presence a stark reminder of Hunter’s past, but it was a past he had long made peace with. Casper, Ezekiel, Alejandro, and Alamid were all in attendance, the familiar faces of his old comrades offering Hunter a

The village had become a sanctuary, a place where peace and purpose intertwined. The rolling hills that surrounded the small community seemed to cradle it in their embrace, a world away from the complexities of Hunter’s former life.It was here that he had found the stability he had long craved, and in Lorelei, he had found a partner whose heart matched the warmth of the village itself. Together, they had started something new—a future they both wanted to build from the ground up.Lorelei, ever the visionary, had begun taking charge of organizing community projects. The first priority was to address the village’s need for more accessible education and healthcare. The old schoolhouse was small and outdated, and the nearest clinic was miles away, an inconvenient distance for many of the elderly and young children. Lorelei, with her innate sense of purpose, immediately set her sights on transforming these challenges into opportunities for the village to thrive.Hunter supported her whole

The sun was setting over the village, casting a soft golden light that reflected off the surface of the river. The water flowed gently, a calming rhythm that seemed to match the peace Hunter had found in the small town. It was a stark contrast to the chaos and adrenaline of his previous life. Here, he was simply Hunter. Not the former soldier, not the Brotherhood leader—just a man who had found solace in the quiet beauty of this place, and in the woman standing beside him.Lorelei was standing by the riverbank, her silhouette outlined by the fading light. The breeze played with her hair, sending strands of it dancing around her face. She had always been beautiful to him, but it was in moments like this, in the stillness of the world around them, that he found her more breathtaking than ever. Her strength, her quiet determination, her kindness—they were all there, in the way she moved, in the way she looked at him.Hunter took a deep breath, feeling a rush of emotion swell in his chest

The morning sun gleamed through the large windows of Alamid’s sleek, modern office building. He stood in front of a crowd, a mix of reporters, philanthropists, and high-ranking officials, all gathered to witness what would be another milestone in his rapidly growing empire. His success as a businessman had always been a topic of admiration, but his transformation into a philanthropist was what truly set him apart. As the media cameras flashed, Alamid spoke with the same smooth confidence that had propelled him to the top of the corporate world, but his words today were focused on something more meaningful.“I am deeply honored to announce that, through the generosity of my company and its partners, we are launching a new initiative to support the recovery of survivors of human trafficking. This program will provide housing, education, and therapy for those affected, helping them rebuild their lives with the dignity and opportunity they deserve.”The room filled with applause, and Alam

Casper and Alamid stood in front of a high-rise building that loomed over the city, the glass windows reflecting the waning sunlight. It was a symbol of power, wealth, and corruption—a fitting location for the confrontation they were about to have. The corrupt politician, Eduardo Vasquez, had long been suspected of ties to international trafficking rings, but evidence had been scarce, and his influence was immense.Alamid adjusted his cufflinks, his eyes sharp as they scanned the surroundings. “This is it,” he muttered, more to himself than to Casper.“Yeah,” Casper replied, cracking his knuckles. “And I’ve waited a long time for this.”The two of them had gathered intelligence over the past few weeks, digging through Vasquez’s finances, connections, and business dealings. They knew they were walking into a storm. But they had no choice—Vasquez’s influence had kept the trafficking rings running smoothly, unchallenged, for too long. The time to strike was now. They walked into the buil
