“Thank you, Doctor. But is he fit to be discharged today?” Daniel asked over the phone.

“Yes sir,” the doctor replied. “I’ve prescribed his medications. He only needs rest.”

“Okay. That settles it then.”

The call ended.

Moments later, the doctor walked into Ethan’s ward.

“You’ll be discharged today,” he said, handing him a small paper bag of medications. “Take these as prescribed. And sign here before leaving.”

“Thank you, Doctor,” Ethan said with a faint smile. “What about Mr Daniel?”

The doctor’s lips curved slightly.

“He left while you were asleep. But he’ll be back soon… and with good news for you.”

Ethan frowned. “What good news?”

“You’ll find out.” He walked out.

Before Ethan could process his words, two hefty men walked into the room. The same ones who stood behind Daniel the previous day. They bowed slightly.

“Good day, Young Master.”

Ethan blinked. “I’m sorry… what?”

He looked behind him to see if someone else was in the room.

“I don’t look like your boss,” he said awkwardly. “Why are you calling me that?”

“Our boss demands to see you at the mansion immediately,” one of them replied respectfully. “It is urgent and you must come with us please.”

Ethan almost laughed. “Wait, let me get this straight. The Almighty Daniel Wilson wants to see me in his mansion?”

“Yes, Young Master.”

After signing his discharge papers, Ethan followed them outside.

A long convoy of black luxury cars waited in formation.

When he stepped out, the rest of the guards bowed slightly in unison, with their hands folded in honor. He could recall winking several times trying to see if he was dreaming.

Ethan paused.

He had seen these men bow only to Daniel.

Why were they bowing to him?

He hesitated before stepping into the Rolls-Royce whose door had already been opened for him.

“God… what is happening?” he muttered to himself.

The leather seats were soft. The air smelled expensive. Everything inside screamed wealth.

He leaned back slowly. The convoy moved. This was his first time to get into such a luxury car.He could breathe life afresh.

He cast a glance behind to see the rest of the cars in straight lines, their gleaming headlamps sparkling and he stroked his hair, feeling on top of the world already.

When they got to the mansion, the gates opened automatically. Ethan saw more luxury cars packed in the large compound, water fountains, guards stationed at every corner. He stepped out as a guard opened the door for him and bowed again and the rest followed suit.

The maids walked up to him, greeted and bowed to him as they pointed at the mansion entrance. “This way youngmaster.”

He couldn't stop staring around.

Inside, the mansion was even more breathtaking. Crystal chandeliers hung from high ceilings. Polished marble floors reflected his image back at him and many more.

“Welcome to my home, Ethan.”

The deep voice came from behind.

Ethan turned and saw Daniel Wilson seated at the extreme of a long dining table, calm, composed, powerful.

He smiled while gesturing for Ethan to join him. “Come. Sit.”

Ethan obeyed and sat down. A warm meal was served immediately. He hadn’t realized how hungry he was until the first bite touched his tongue.

Daniel watched him quietly with smiles all over his face.

After a moment, Ethan gathered courage.

“Sir… why are your guards bowing to me? Why are they calling me Young Master?”

Daniel inhaled slowly, stood up and walked around the table and stopped behind Ethan.

“You are my son,” he said calmly. “The flesh of my flesh. The blood of my blood.”

Ethan froze. “What?”

Daniel sat back to his seat. “I ran a DNA test after donating blood to you. Our blood matched. And the results confirmed it. You are my biological son.”

The room felt smaller. “How… how is that possible?” Ethan’s voice trembled.

Daniel explained how he married Linda, his mother and how she disappeared with their child, twenty-three years ago and left with no trace, because she was trying to protect him from his world.

He held Ethan's hands. “Trust me, I've been looking for both of you for years, sent my boys, yet nothing. Look at this mark on your hand.” He said, raising Ethan's hand. “It's the same as mine.” Showing him his hand. “In the Wilson family, this mark appears only on direct heirs.”

When I saw it at the hospital, I got suspicious and decided to run a DNA test, and It turned out my suspicions were right.”

Ethan's mind refused to process everything at once.

“My mother never told me,” he whispered.

Daniel’s voice softened. “She was protecting you.”

Silence filled the space between them.

Then Daniel asked quietly, “How did she die?”

Ethan lowered his gaze, his face suffused with pain and gloom.

“She died in a car accident,” he said, his voice breaking slightly. “She was coming back from work. By the time I got to the hospital… she was gone.”

Daniel pulled him into a firm embrace.

“You have me now,” he said quietly. “No one will ever hurt you again.”

For the first time in years, Ethan felt safe.

“Prepare him,” Daniel ordered.

The maids led Ethan upstairs. He had a warm proper bath first. Washing off all the years of poverty because it has come to an end.

His hair was trimmed neatly.

He was dressed in a tailored tuxedo and polished Oxfords.

When he stepped out, Daniel looked at him with pride.

“That's my son,” Daniel admired him from behind. “Anything you need is at your beck and call.”

“Thank you Father,” Ethan replied, even though it sounds strange to him. Daniel tossed his head, hearing his son call him father was worth more than his avarice of wealth.

He took out a sleek black card. “Here you go. This card is specially for you, your spending limit is five billion dollars.”

Ethan stared at it. His hands trembled slightly, but he kept his composure.

Then Daniel placed a document on the table. “It is time to officially acknowledge you as my heir. Sign your signature over here.”

Ethan’s heart pounded loudly.

He picked up the pen.

His name was boldly written Ethan Wilson.

He signed.

“You told me you were expelled after the fight right?”

“Yes father.” Ethan replied.

“Just consider it settled. You are going back to school tomorrow.”

Maybe he paid the manager to help him embarrass us.”Celeb scratched the back of his neck.“But Ryan… Mr Jones slapped the security man because of him.”Ryan’s jaw tightened. “Actors can slap too.”The security man suddenly rushed forward, panic written all over his face.“Sir… please… please help me talk to him,” he begged Ryan.

This loser here has nothing to offer.”“Can you all just stop?” Zara said quickly, her voice firm now. “Whether it's fake or not, it's my gift and I love it like that. It's high time everyone minds their business. And hey, I didn’t invite you here, so don’t come here causing trouble.”Ryan’s eyes darkened.“Are you talking to me like this because of this loser?
