“In fact… I’ll triple it if you turn the tables…”

Diane was busy facing close to the wall, her heart hammering in her chest. She couldn’t bring herself to watch the brutal sight unfolding before her, the sound of fists hitting flesh made her flinch each time. Her breaths came out shaky and uneven, her stomach twisting with unease.

Suddenly, she heard a voice, mocking and far too familiar.

“Hey, cousin.”

Her head snapped toward the sound, and her eyes widened in pure shock. Standing a few feet away was Ethan, bruised but very much conscious, a small, victorious smirk playing on his lips.

“Wh…” she began, her voice trembling with confusion, but she never got the chance to finish.

A sharp yelp escaped her lips as Ethan’s fist struck her hard across the face. The blow was swift and merciless. Darkness swept over her vision, and she crumpled to the ground in a heap, unconscious.

Ethan let out a triumphant, almost gleeful laugh as he turned to the masked men around him. “Wow,” he said
