Dave was thirsty as he walked alone through Green City. After all the drama at the Winter family mansion, he hadn't even been offered a drink.

Dave's eyes landed on a modern coffee shop that looked quiet. It seemed like a nice idea to stop in for a quick coffee.

Dave stepped inside. The coffee shop's interior was minimalist and clean. There were several neatly arranged tables and chairs. Strangely, however, the shop was completely empty. No other customers, not even a barista behind the counter.

"Hello?" Dave called out. "Is anyone here?"

A moment later, a coffee shop employee emerged from behind the kitchen door. His face looked confused and a little scared.

"I'm sorry, sir," the employee said, his voice low. "We're not open to the public today."

Dave frowned. "The lights are on, the door's open. You should still be serving customers who come in."

"It's intentionally left that way at the request of our special customer. For at least the next two hours," the employee replied, looking uncomfortable.

"Private event?" Dave glanced around. "But there's no one here."

Suddenly, footsteps were heard from behind. A well-built man in a neat suit, followed by several muscular bodyguards, emerged from deeper inside the shop. The man was Isac, Markus's main assistant.

"Young man, leave. This place has been specially reserved by our master!" Isac glared at Dave.

The employee stammered. "We've prepared Mr. Young's table and order."

Isac looked Dave up and down. "You heard him, right? You'd better leave!"

Dave looked at Isac. He didn't like that commanding tone. "I just want a coffee. Give me one glass and I'll go."

Isac stepped closer, his eyes narrowing. "My master doesn't like to be disturbed. Leave now, before I make you leave."

Dave smiled faintly. "Just because a spoiled brat wants to drink coffee alone doesn't mean he can kick people out whenever he wants, sir. This is a public place, isn't it?"

"How dare you talk to Mr. Young like that?!" one of Markus's bodyguards snapped, taking a step forward.

Isac raised a hand, stopping his bodyguard. "I don't have time to argue with people like you. If you don't leave peacefully, we'll drag you out."

Dave shook his head. "I'm not leaving. I just want a coffee."

Isac sighed. "Deal with him!"

Four muscular bodyguards immediately surrounded Dave. Dave observed them. They looked trained, but they were no match for his strength. Dave didn't want to cause a big commotion or damage property. He had to move carefully.

A fight broke out. Dave mostly dodged and evaded. He leaped over tables, slid under chairs, avoiding the bodyguards' punches and kicks. He moved with incredible speed, only parrying or blocking attacks without retaliating with full force. He had to be careful not to damage the tables, chairs, or coffee displays.

The bodyguards grew increasingly frustrated. They couldn't touch Dave. Every time they thought they had him cornered, Dave had already disappeared and reappeared somewhere else.

A limousine stopped in front of the coffee shop. An elegantly dressed man in expensive clothes stepped out after Isac hurriedly opened the car door.

"What's going on here?!" the tall, handsome but arrogant man asked.

"I'm sorry, sir, there was a small incident." Isac seemed afraid to explain. "But I'll take care of it right away."

Markus stepped inside. Apparently, there had been a bit of a mess before he arrived.

Isac bowed. "I apologize, Mr. Young. This man refused to leave. He insisted on having coffee."

Markus looked at Dave, sneering. "Today, I don't want to see any rotten sights before my eyes. You'd better get out of my sight!"

Dave sighed. He was tired of all this drama. He gave in. He didn't want to deal with arrogant people.

"Alright," Dave said, raising his hands. "I'm leaving."

He turned, ready to walk out.

Markus entered and immediately sat down. The servant promptly served the appetizer. A sweet dish that tempted Markus. However, his face suddenly turned pale. He coughed, his voice hoarse.

"Mr. Markus!" Isac cried out, panicked.

Markus clutched his throat. His breathing became ragged. His face turned blue. He collapsed to the floor, his body convulsing.

"There are eggs!" Markus, who was dying, tried to say what had actually happened to him. "Mr. Markus has a severe egg allergy!"

The bodyguards immediately lifted the dying Markus. "Quick! Get him to the hospital!" Isac commanded.

They rushed Markus out of the shop. Dave, who hadn't gone far, noticed the commotion. His sharp instincts immediately told him that the arrogant man he had just encountered was dying. His prophetic sight told him Markus had a severe allergy.

"Wait!" Dave said. "He won't make it to the hospital in time!"

Isac glared at Dave angrily. "You! Don't interfere!"

"He needs an anti-allergy shot immediately!" Dave explained. "Now! Or he'll die!"

"We know that!" Isac yelled. "But we lost it!"

Dave looked out the window. "You'll be too late."

Markus lay on the car floor, his breathing growing weaker. His face was already turning bluish-black. He was dying.

"I can help him," Dave said. "I have an antidote."

Isac looked at Dave with a suspicious and desperate gaze. "What antidote? Who are you?!"

"I can save him," Dave asserted. "I have a concoction that can neutralize his allergy. But I need that shot."

"Get out of the way!" Isac was about to drive off.

Dave took something from his pocket. Then, he blew powder towards all of them, and they suddenly became paralyzed.

"What did you do?" Isac asked angrily, but he couldn't do anything as his body was uncontrollable.

"Relax." Dave was calm. "It'll only last 3 minutes."

Markus's bodyguards saw him. They were about to lunge at Dave.

Dave moved quickly. He dodged the bodyguards' attack, then with one swift movement, he injected the golden concoction into Markus's arm.

"No!" Isac screamed, furious. He felt like a failure for not being able to protect his master.

"You'll be fine in a moment." Dave clapped his hands. He was about to leave before they went berserk again. "I'm off now, see ya!"

Isac couldn't move. He just yelled in anger. After 3 minutes, Isac was finally free from the concoction's effect. "Catch him!"

Markus's men also recovered and were about to chase Dave.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, Markus, who had been dying in the car, suddenly coughed violently.

He opened his eyes. His breathing began to return to normal. His bluish face slowly returned to its original skin color.

Markus saw them about to chase Dave, who was being pursued by his men, and immediately ordered his driver to block them.

The driver moved quickly, cutting off Dave's path, and Markus immediately got out of the car.

Dave concluded with a smile. "Looks like you're doing well."

"Stop!" Markus yelled. "Don't touch him!"

Everyone fell silent. The bodyguards froze in place. Isac immediately saluted Markus. "Sir, you're safe?"

Markus slapped Isac. "You idiot!"

Isac was surprised by the slap. "Sir, forgive me!"

"You were more concerned with chasing that young man than helping me first!" Markus snarled. "It's a miracle I'm alive. Otherwise, your head wouldn't be enough to compensate for it!"

"Forgive me, Sir!" Isac knelt. "I was indeed foolish."

Dave just winced at the sight.

Markus then looked at him. "Sir, your concoction is so potent. How about I make you my personal doctor?"

Dave scoffed. "Sorry, I'm not interested in being your subordinate! Living freely is better!"

"I'll pay you handsomely. And I'll give you precious stones."

"I like money. But I'm not interested in being your subordinate." Dave refused. "Don't bother me again."

"Insolent." Markus felt deeply disrespected. "Then you'll feel this!" He prepared with all his men to surround Dave.

Lisa stood guard all night beside Jessica. This morning, she had just left the room to go to the bathroom. When Lisa returned, her eyes popped open. There, beside Jessica's bed, stood Dave. He looked calm, his hand gently placed on Jessica's wrist, as if checking her pulse or channeling energy."What are you doing here?!" Lisa shrieked, her anger exploding, shattering the early morning silence. She lunged forward, shoving Dave hard. "How dare you enter Miss Jessica's room! Who do you think you are, coming in here without permission?! I was only gone for a minute!"Dave staggered slightly from the sudden shove, but he didn't move. His hand, which had touched Jessica, was now slowly withdrawn. His sharp eyes glared directly at Lisa, who was still consumed by fury."I came to make sure she was alright," Dave answered, his voice calm. "And to help her recover.""Help?!" Lisa laughed cynically, her face flushed crimson. "You're the one who brought her here! You're the one who poisoned her!

Milla rushed to Dave, her eyes wide. "Sir! It must be them! The evil magic user! They've attacked again!" Milla's whisper was filled with fury. After three days that were too normal, when they had started to wonder, something bad finally happened.Dave didn't waste time. He knelt beside Jessica, placed his hand on her forehead, then slowly moved to touch the pulse on her neck. His senses immediately scanned, feeling every energy vibration in Jessica's body. He was looking for traces of dark magic, a foreign energy aura that could be causing these seizures. However, what Dave felt wasn't magic. There were no familiar waves of evil energy, no binding ancient aura like what he usually felt on Jessica's body. Instead, he felt internal chaos. Jessica's body was rebelling against something that had entered it. Not an energy attack.Dave opened his eyes. "Not magic," he said. He looked at Milla. "This isn't an evil magic attack. This is food poisoning."Lisa, who had just heard, quickly turn

Jessica looked at Dave, her eyes filled with new resolve. "I've thought about it," she said. "I want you to do the cleansing."Dave gave a slight nod. "Good.""But," Jessica continued, a little hesitant, "You won't be doing it like a shaman, right? With weird rituals, or bad smells?"Dave offered a small smile. A rare smile that Jessica had only seen a few times. "I'm not a shaman, Jessica." He reassured her. "I'm just using my abilities. My senses are how I feel energy." He added, "I'll be cleansing, not adding to the mess."Jessica let out a sigh of relief. She didn't want to see strange rituals or creepy incantations. "Alright. So, when are you going to start?""Now," Dave said flatly. "We'll start with your room."Jessica nodded, then turned, walking towards the stairs. Lisa, who had been standing in the corner of the room with a sour expression, now trailed behind Jessica, not taking her eyes off Dave.Upon reaching Jessica's room, Dave stepped inside. He didn't touch anything. H

Night fell, dissolving the mansion's grandeur into thick darkness. After the 'simple' yet meaningful dinner, Jessica went to her room, her mind in turmoil.Jessica tried applying Dave's salve all over her body, feeling her skin get better, far better than before. However, thoughts of 'cleansing' and 'energy' that Dave mentioned made her sleep restless.Meanwhile, in the uppermost room, under the moonlight piercing through the large window, Dave sat cross-legged on the floor. His eyes closed, his breathing steady, focusing on the energy around him. Meditation. This was Dave's way of sensing the vibrations of nature, anomalies, and unseen presences. At first, he felt the remnants of the suppressing magic still clinging to the mansion, dwelling in the old walls, in every crack, and most densely in the area around Jessica's room. That energy felt cold, static, but slowly began to melt, thanks to Dave's presence and the salve he gave Jessica. However, beneath all that, Dave felt something

At the inn, Milla was still pouting. She paced back and forth among the half-packed suitcases, grumbling incessantly."You saw it yourself, sir, didn't you? Jessica's assistant! Lisa! She's so annoying!" Milla waved her hands in the air. "I tried to help, but she just kept being cynical. As if we're master criminals!"Dave merely smiled faintly, neatly folding his clothes into a suitcase. "She's just doing her job.""Normal, my foot?!" Milla exclaimed, her face flushing. "I can't even communicate with her without her immediately looking at me like I want to steal all of Jessica's jewelry! I told her you needed a few empty rooms for 'cleansing', and she instantly glared as if I wanted to destroy the entire mansion!""That is my goal, isn't it?" Dave retorted lightly. "To cleanse.""But not destroy!" Milla snorted. "You said you needed optimal sunlight, so we had to move to rarely used rooms. And she immediately got suspicious. Thinking we wanted to take over the mansion.""Be patient,"

"Condition?" Jessica repeated, her voice containing a hint of disbelief. "What condition do you want?"Dave, now standing and facing Jessica, showed no change in expression. "I need to stay in your mansion."A sudden silence crept between them. Jessica gasped. Lisa, who had been standing silently, jolted."What?!" Lisa exclaimed, her voice high-pitched, no longer caring about formalities. "What do you think this is?! This is a crazy request! Ms. Wagner can't possibly let a stranger live in her private home! Her privacy and security will be at risk!"Dave turned slightly towards Lisa, his gaze calm. "I understand your concerns. But this is the only way if Ms. Wagner truly wants to recover and be free."Jessica raised a hand, stopping Lisa, who was about to launch another protest. "Why? Why do you have to stay there, Dave? The salve has already proven effective. You can give me the rest, and I'll use it myself. I'll pay whatever it costs.""This isn't just about the salve, Jessica," Dav
