Chapter 68Charlie’s calm warning stunned the room. Everyone turned to look at each other, wide-eyed.Duke stared at Charlie without words, wondering what had come over him. The man himself let out a chuckle at first, amused by Charlie’s statement. However, his face instantly changed. His face twisted, a dark particle visible in his eyes. “Bastard! How dare you talk back to me?” He grumbled, voice filled with venom. “Alright, let’s see what you can do after I’m done dealing with you.”Hearing that, Duke’s heart skipped, fear immediately gripping him. He rushed forward to beg the man on Charlie’s behalf, but the latter held him and slowly pulled him back, shaking his head slowly.“What do you think you are trying to do?” Charlie asked, his face contorted with a frown. “Beg him? Chapter 60Just a minute after Charlie left, Jake walked out of the restroom, exhaling in relief.He adjusted his shirt, eyes scanning the place as he stepped forward. “Where's he?" Jake asked, looking around to see if he could find Charlie. The waitress turned, facing him. “Sir Charlie? He just left a few minutes ago. He received a call—an urgent one—and he had to rush away.”Jake frowned but before he could say anything—“But…” the waitress reached out to the table, grabbing the bag of packaged food that Charlie had instructed her to give to Jake. "Here. He instructed me to give this to you.” Jake didn't hesitate.He took it sharply, but gently, and started glancing inside, taking note of the contents. His eyes widened. "You mean he bought all of this just for me?" He asked, his mouth slightly open. The waitress nodded, confirming. “Yes. And here too." She pulled out the five crisp bills that Charlie had also given her. Subtracting one, she handed the remaining four to Jake.

Following immediately was Jake from the other door, his eyes sharp as they scanned around the place, slightly nodding in admiration.Charlie dug his hand into his pocket and pulled out a crisp $100 bill, handing it to the driver. “Here you go. The driver, after taking the money, glanced down, his eyes rotating as if they were searching for something, but suddenly Charlie spoke up, his voice calm and his expression unreadable. “Is it the change?"
