Logan was beyond amused that he almost burst out laughing, Adriana was taking the glory for what he did. However, instead of exposing her lies, he decided to watch and see how well she faked it

"You're too kind Adriana, unlike some people who tried to lie and deceive us about having a familial relationship with the CEO." Stacy said, giving Logan a hateful glare.

"Just ignore that clown." Leslie said, sneering at Logan. "A lowlife like you who tried to claim Astral Corp's CEO is your butler. How pathetic."

Ava walked over to Adriana with a warm smile. "You helped my family and I would like to repay that. How about I buy you dinner? Please, don't refuse me."

"Okay, I won't refuse you but if you don't mind, I'll be bringing my older brother. He has always wanted to meet you. If that's okay with you…" Adriana requested and glanced at Logan. Ava agreed immediately.

Logan watched how his wife made plans to have dinner with this ridiculous woman and her stupid brother the coming day. He decided not to say anything and just went with the flow… eager to see where this would lead.

The next day, Alfred delivered wonderful news to Logan. “Young Master, we found  a donor for Mia, and it's a perfect match!”

Logan's heart soared with joy as he heard these words from Alfred over the phone. “That's good news,  Alfred.” He almost forgot that this was one of the great benefits of being a member of a powerful family. “Have you made the necessary arrangements?”

“Of course, Young Master Logan,” Alfred spoke with so much happiness. “I've had the heart delivered to your hospital. Also, I've ordered the chief residents to assign only the best surgeons to perform the transplant. I believe your daughter will be fine after this.”

Tears welled up in Logan's eyes as the thought of seeing his daughter's smile again made him so emotional. When Ava left earlier to go have dinner with Adriana and her brother to thank him for something that the fraudster didn't even do, he stayed with Mia, monitoring her condition closely. He even fell asleep, it was Alfred’s call that woke him up.

An hour later, Ava rushed over with teary eyes. “Logan, have you heard? A heart  has been found for our daughter!” She rushed over to wrap her arms around her husband, placing her head on his chest as she cried tears of joy.

Logan returned the hug with closed eyes, “I know, my love. Our daughter will finally be okay.”

Ava suddenly pulled away from the hug. “But wait, what about the operation f*e and the cost of the heart? Logan, we will have to pay for…”

Logan cut her off. “I already paid for it.”

Ava began to worry, but she held her tongue, not saying anything for now.

The parents sat near the operation room as they waited while Mia was undergoing the heart transplant. From time to time, Logan would hold Ava's shaking hands to calm her down. A single minute felt like a year had passed by but they continued to wait.

Two hours later, a female doctor walked out and both Logan and Ava rushed over to her asking how Mia's operation had been.

The doctor smiled at them. “Youre very lucky to have such a strong daughter like Mia. The operation was successful.”

“Oh my god!” Ava almost fell to the ground, but Logan steadied her in time. The two spent the next hour in each other's embrace. They were not allowed to see Mia as it was already nighttime.

Therefore, they had no choice but to go home for the night.

At home, Logan offered to cook Ava because she was extremely tired from worrying all day about Mia's operation, he found out that they had not restocked their food supplies and he decided to order an amazing cuisine worth $7,000. Ava was shocked when she saw the meal but she kept quiet and ate her fill.

After eating, they both went to bed, and that was when Ava couldn't hold her thoughts anymore.

“Logan, I hope you've started job hunting since you no longer have a job. If not, I have a friend at another company who I can refer you to. They're looking for a gatekeeper, but the salary is much smaller than the one you earned at Synergy Corp.”

“Hold on, Love.” Logan interrupted with a confused expression. “Why do I need to apply as a gatekeeper at another company?”

Ava's mood suddenly went bad as she glared  at Logan while raising her voice. “Because we need to start saving for the damn money you borrowed from loan sharks!”

“But we're not in any debt.”

 Ava looked up, unamused.

Can I have it?” With a warm look on his face, Logan lifted his daughter so he could look her in the eyes. “Of course, my princess, you can have anything you want.” Mia gave Logan a toothy smile before turning her gaze until she spotted a beautiful blue dress. “Dada, I want that Cinderella dress,” “Right away.” Logan carried his little girl to the aisle in the store and gently put her down. Mia had just picked up the dress when another little girl suddenly snatched it from her hand. "This is mine." The girl glared at Mia before pushing her to the ground. The middle-aged couple behind her simply stood there, watching their daughter bully another girl. Logan's eyes widened as he quickly rushed forward to help her up, che

I can't stand seeing your face right now.” She pointed at the bedroom door. “I want you to get out! You're sleeping in the living room tonight until you stop trying to feed me all this nonsense, you're not sleeping anywhere near me!” Logan was speechless. He would have persisted but he could tell that Ava was too tired for this conversation, so he got up and left. Mia finally woke up the next day and cried when she saw her parents. Meanwhile, at the Cooper family house. Leslie Cooper was shaking when she was on the phone with someone. "This is such great news. Thank you so much for reconsidering my proposal. I'll make sure to rewrite it before sending it to your company. Thank you." Stacy walked into the living room to see her getting out of a phone call and screaming in joy. "Oh my God, Mom. What was that for?" She asked, covering her ears with her hands. "You won't believe who I was talking to just now." Leslie rushed over to her daughter and held her hand. " Astral Corp’s headquarters just called me and they expressed their interest in accepting my proposal." "Oh my, that's good news. How did it happen?" Leslie thought for a minute and then looked at her daughter with a smile. "It was none other than Adriana Lima. I'm sure she did all this. Guess her father does have connections after all." Then Stacy saw her picking up her bag and car keys. "But where are you going, mom?" "To the hospital, dea

"Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.” Logan whispered, almost tearing up. Then he remembered the conversation he had with Leslie and Stacy at the cafeteria. He didn't want to do it, but for Ava, he instructed Alfred. "I need you to give feedback to Smile Corporation on the proposal that the deputy sales director has been trying to get you onboard with. You can instruct them on how to update their proposal and the amount you want to pour into the business, I'll leave it to your capable hands." "Very well sir but if I may ask, the deputy sales director is your mother-in-law, isn't it?" Logan sighed as he shook his head. "If you already know this, then why ask again, Alfred? I already know you ran a background check on me." Alfred chuckled softly. "You seem to know me very well, sire. If that is all, I'll get to work now." The elevator dinged and he stepped out with the phone still in his ears. "Thank you very much, butler Alfred." He said discreetly, not wanting th

Logan turned back to them and said to Leslie in a low voice, "I think it's quite… Good, but your proposal will need a lot of polishing in it if you really want a company like Astral Corp to invest their money into your business." "I don't need your opinion on my proposal." She said with a displeased look. "What do you even know about business?" She quickly held her tongue before she said any more insulting words. She really needed his help so for now, she needed to behave. Logan sucked in a breath, "That can be arranged." He decided that it was no use hiding the truth from them since it would be revealed in the future anyways. "The CEO is my family's trusted steward, so getting you to meet him is nothing." The smile on Leslie's face morphed into a look of anger. "What the heck are you saying?" Logan was shocked about her sudden change in reaction. Did he say something wrong? Stacy suddenly began to laugh. "I told you not to come to this fool for help, mom. Now, look at him
