“Wouldn’t that be such a fun party?”

The sound of laughter rang out clearly, causing him to hurriedly open his eyes.

Amid the conversation, Owen remained silent, simply staring at the scene before him. His eyes darted around quickly, but his breath caught in his throat.

Everything was exactly as he remembered.

A moment later, a notification screen appeared before him.

[Congratulations! You have successfully returned to life.]

[The system has chosen you as the one selected by the Godline System.]

“What?” Owen murmured softly.

[Welcome, Successor.]

His hand slowly reached out to touch the notification screen before him, but his fingers passed straight through it.

He swallowed slowly, and when another notification appeared, he focused more intently on the words.

[Scanning….]

Bloodline: Unknown

[Result Found]

[Bloodline:]

[God of War: 3%]

[God of Lightning: 7%]

[Primordial God: 0.01%]

[Others: ???]

“What does all of this mean?” Owen truly had no idea what was happening.

He grabbed his hair, the pain he had just experienced feeling completely real. A moment later, something struck his chest with tremendous force. His heart felt as though it were burning, making it difficult for him to breathe. He clutched his chest tightly.

The sensation was unmistakably real, even though there was no longer any injury on his heart.

“Ugh…”

A moment later, his breathing slowly steadied as the pain quickly faded away.

Somehow, he immediately felt calmer despite his anger. Unexpectedly, he could even feel that his body had become stronger.

His eyes were filled with rage. Although the pain he had experienced made it difficult for him to fully process what was happening, his gaze toward the people gathered in the room was filled with hatred and vengeance.

He should have been dead.

After all, the people in this room were the ones who had killed him two days later, when they invited him to go on vacation with them at a resort.

“Owen, you’re coming with us, right?”

Owen’s eyes slowly shifted toward the speaker, his expression harsher than usual. The woman who had just touched his shoulder was Sarah, his girlfriend—and a traitor.

“Of course Owen is coming. He wouldn’t let you go alone, Sarah.”

The messy-haired man spoke loudly. He was Owen’s cousin, Reinard.

Owen clenched his hands tightly. He had been deliberately turning a blind eye to the relationship between Sarah and Reinard all this time. The two of them had been having an affair behind his back—or, more accurately, Reinard was Sarah’s real lover.

They had both been deceiving Owen to take advantage of him, and everyone he had considered family in this room had been involved in his murder.

[Mission: Break off your relationship with them and survive for two days.]

Just as Owen was about to respond, a notification suddenly appeared before him. Seeing it, his hands clenched even tighter.

“Owen—”

Sarah’s words were cut short when Owen immediately stood up and shoved her hand away, refusing to let her touch him.

“What are you doing to Sarah? You’re being so rude!” Reinard snapped at him.

Owen found it almost laughable. Seeing Reinard get angry like this, just as he always did, made Owen wonder how he could have failed to realize that something was wrong between them.

“What are you doing, Owen? If you keep acting like this, Sarah might break up with you.” Anne, his aunt, spoke while still holding a bottle of wine from 1900.

She clicked her tongue. “I never taught you to behave so rudely. You really are a terrible man, Owen.”

Sarah touched the corner of her eye, even though there wasn’t a single tear there. “Owen, you disgust me. Can’t you learn to be a good man like Reinard?”

His ears burning as he listened to them constantly blame him, Owen finally couldn’t hold himself back any longer. He immediately grabbed the wine bottle from Anne’s hand. His action caused some of the wine to spill onto Anne’s clothes.

Anne’s voice immediately erupted in anger.

“What are you doing!? Don’t you know this dress cost a thousand dollars and I just bought it!?”

Hearing that, Owen stared sharply at Anne. He should have realized it from the very beginning and never allowed these parasites to take advantage of his life.

He had lived alone in the only house his family owned. It wasn’t particularly luxurious, but the house was worth at least four hundred thousand dollars, and they often came here just to make him pay for whatever they bought or wanted.

And when he died, he would never forget what they had said.

“Finally, that idiot is dead. Now we can take everything he owns.”

The betrayal had been devastating. Owen had worked hard to make them happy because he believed they were his family. But no matter what he did, they had never considered him family.

Now, he poured the rest of the wine over Anne’s clothes.

“What are you doing!? My dress!” Anne screamed hysterically.

Everyone in the house was utterly shocked by Owen’s actions.

“What’s wrong with you? Why are you being so cruel to your aunt?” Sarah tried to stop Owen, but when Owen looked at her, a chill ran through her body.

He dropped the wine bottle onto the floor and stared coldly at the three of them.

“Never come to my house again.”

Owen’s words seemed to crack the air around them.

Sarah felt frightened, but Reinard and Anne refused to back down.

“What are you talking about? We’re family, and I can come here whenever I want.”

“If I don’t take care of you, then who will?” Anne hissed again as she looked at her stained clothes. “I really need to teach you some manners.”

Just then, she raised her hand and slapped Owen.

The slap landed hard against his face, but instead of hurting him, it reminded him vividly of how often Reinard and Anne had done this to him in the past.

His anger, disappointment, and the emotions surging inside him caused his jaw to tighten.

“I’m cutting ties with all of you,” he said firmly.

Reinard stepped forward, thinking that confronting Owen would be enough to make him back down. But before he could do anything, Owen kicked him hard in the stomach, sending him flying backward.

[God of War activated.]

“Reinard!” Sarah screamed and immediately rushed over to him.

A second later, she turned toward Owen.

“Why would you do this to Reinard when he’s always been the one helping you?”

“Helping me?” Owen scoffed.

“If you don’t apologize, I’ll break up with you.”

A smile appeared on his face.

“I was planning to break up with you anyway.”

He looked at all of them, their faces filled with fear and shock.

“Now get out of here!”

[Power increased: 8%.]

Sarah couldn’t accept what had happened because she had lost her personal ATM. He’d do anything for me. I know what he’s doing now is just to make me jealous,” she muttered. At that exact moment, the door finally opened. Owen immediately saw her, and his expression t

He had driven them out, but Owen knew very well that he wouldn’t be able to get rid of them that easily. Looking around his house, he realized there were still plenty of ways for them to cause trouble. The house might not have been particularly luxurious, but it was the only thing his parents had left behind, so Owen had decided to protect it.That afternoon, he put on his hoodie and quickly left the house, getting into the ride-hailing car he had booked.“We’ve arrived at Grand Sky Mall, sir,” the driver said several minutes later.Owen looked outside.
