"Seriously?! A guy?!" I shouted with disbelief in the operating room.

I had never suspected his identity even though I saw his short curly hair. I just thought he was a cute girl with a Tomboy Deluxe hairstyle, but he's a man!

Sigh, I'm tired of it; he can die... I don't care. Men cannot keep their junior on a leash in their pants; my assh*le father, who tried to r*pe me, is a good reference. The reason why I don't make a male masterpiece is partly related to this trauma that constantly gnaws at me.

But despite everything, I will wait for his death to collect his blood, and then I will forget this story. After all, that is my presence's primary cause.

After resolving the mental mess, I waited patiently while the doctors did their best to save him as if he were one of their relatives. It's hardly believable; how can you struggle in this way to keep the stranger’s life? Are humans... so stupid? Probably.

I couldn't understand this facet that humans possessed. Their lives are so short that it only takes a beat of fly wings for them to age and die, but yet, this will to live that they have... is fantastic. They are not only trying to protect their lives but also those of their loved ones and even strangers.

I remember seeing, during one of my night outings, two male cattle fighting on the bridge. But ironically, the one who was beaten also wanted to prevent his attacker from jumping off the bridge to suicide; that's crazy! After watching this cinema with a bit of curiosity, I finally decided to kill both to solve the problem; by draining them of their blood. At least, the food will not rot on its own; otherwise, it will be a waste. I remember that after this, I always ran through the streets to find prey who wanted to commit suicide; it is an excellent solution to serve society while preventing the victims' relatives from sinking into despair.

Humans are strange and incomprehensible; apart from a few exceptions of this breed, they are the opposite of the species I belong to. They care about life and cherish their loved ones' lives even though they have a such short life, but we, who can live almost eternally, devour each other and do not pay attention to the centuries that pass before us. It's ironic, yes, it's very ironic to see that we who are blessed or cursed of this longevity... are so detached from life, while it's contrary for this race.

But I suddenly woke up in my thoughts when I noticed a drop of blood on the white tiles. Is it this man’s blood? Probably, otherwise, I wouldn't feel as much attraction to a droplet of blood.

Ragh! This guy must indeed die if I would regain my placidity and my quiet daily life.

But despite my words, my body was, once again, in disagreement with my mind. I leaned towards the drop of blood and wiped it with my finger before...

At that moment, all my mind dictated to me was: a single drop of blood will not change anything, then don't be afraid!

It was absolute torture to resist the irresistible, a calvary that was no less painful than the weeks spent under the sun, and all this, because of the fault of this hunter! My hatred for hunters has increased once again. But in the end, I licked the blood on my finger while continuing to lick my other fingers... like a girl who couldn't get rid of a lollipop’s stalk. Nah, I'm going too crazy!

At that moment, I, who needed to drain at least three people to quench my thirst, felt like I had emptied an ordinary person of his blood. It was a feeling that only vampires could understand.

Who is this human at the end? I just met him, and yet, he has already revived three emotional candles in my cooled heart. First of all, fear, envy, and now, excitement! I want it. I want it... I want it! I want to see him all day, drink his blood, discover what makes him so unique and have him with me for eternity! If I remember nan's words, vampires take what they want willingly or by force... it's our laws, the only savage law that had never changed since the first queen.

So...I guess I can take him... can't I? Since he's the first thing I've wanted since I was born...I have no other choice, don't I?

"Ehh...are you okay?"

This simple question from one of the surgeons woke me up in my mental conflict, But at the same time, I realized that I had already solved the situation without my knowledge!

What devilry affected me so that I could donate my blood without realizing it? The doctor didn't ask me why I disrupted their work or ask about my strange actions; as I had ordered them from the beginning... they would consider all my strange actions ‘normal’.

Except that, at the moment, the person who finds my actions abnormal aren't doctors, but myself! For some reason, I stood in front of his body, which breathed his last breath, with my hand suspended above his body, and my blood flowed into his heart! Who could I blame for that?

I had the impression that fate was playing with me, and I had an intuition that the situation would get worse for me if I stayed here with this human. Between my dizziness and my misunderstanding, I began to step back from him with my utmost caution. And when my hand touched the door, I took a step and immediately found myself out of this hell room. A man in himself is dangerous, but what would happen if he could control me? I’ll kill him; it's the one and only solution.

"Lucia, did you achieve the task I gave you?" I asked in a low voice, addressing this little witch waiting for me behind the door. Even if she wanted to ask me questions, she still refrained from her curiosity, following my pupils’ state, switching between golden and scarlet.

This night is the worst of all. Not only did I not find prey, but I ended up offering my blood to a cattle.

"Yes, milady, everything is arranged now." She said, turning her eyes away from mine. The witches were not weak, they had several means to fight against our race with equal weapons, but the strongest were still vampires.

"Alright, I have another mission for you; gather all the information about this human who is in the operating room and bring it back to me before dawn." Just after giving her these instructions, I rushed away for fear of doing carnage in a strange place.

My thoughts were unstable at the moment; I would think calmly later; then, I would decide about the sanctions I had to apply against this human. I didn't have the luxury of looking for answers to my questions... I must feed myself first.

But just when I would go away, I felt a look at myself that almost instantly froze me on the spot. And when I looked to my right, more precisely about thirty meters away, I located the cold eyes of an unknown lady with blond hair and sapphire blue eyes, calmly staring at me as if I were nothing but her prey. O god of all goddesses, why do I meet another abnormal?

I almost yelled these words to learn from everyone how rotten my night had been. At a glance, I could guess that this noble-looking woman was not an ordinary person; otherwise, she would not know my identity as quickly.

But strangely, she didn't track me like the other crazy; she just continued her way to the hospital carefree; even if she seemed calm from the outside, I could roughly notice her worried face. Fortunately, I could spend the rest of that night in the calm and placidity I wanted.

Day after day, I returned to my daily life, which now seemed blander and dull. After the strange event, I spent more than six months without exceeding the thresholds of my door, despite having received all the information about the abnormal; through Lucie, who had done more than a great job.

I learned that this person's name was Kasel Snow and that he had just lost his twin sister and dad. Ironically, his mom, named Lisa Valentina, was the same blonde woman I had met instead in the hospital. But it was not the subject that interested me; I collected all the information about this guy named Kasel for the sole purpose of knowing if his blood had effects only on me or if it was effective against vampires.

And fortunately, after sending one of my servants back to test it, he confirmed the same. This information made me both relieved and worried about... myself. Why does his blood look like a drug for our breed? Is it because of his mother, who is a witch? Or his dad turned out to be an advanced hunter?

How could he survive so far while being like a problem magnet? I no longer asked this question after receiving Lucie's information. The number of stars categorizes hunters. From one to three stars are named beginner hunters, three to six are intermediate hunters, six to nine are called advanced hunters...so on. But in my current state, I can’t be reckless and fight against a witch who does not have the slightest information about her power level. An advanced hunter is incredible; his wife must not be weak.

But despite all these risks... I couldn't give up. First, after the hospital event, my body now requires more blood than before, which continues to grow drastically. And finally, I don't care whether or not his mum is a witch; I would transform this man into one of mine by the sacred ritual; I would stop at nothing for that. Even if this is the first time I've become so selfish, I don't care about it; it simply means that I look more and more like my race, nothing more or less.

On second thoughts, a quiet heart can think more clearly and quietly than a spinning heart. With this decision, I took my smartphone and contacted Lucie to help me enroll in the same university and the same club as him. But this idea was more fanciful than realistic. Apart from the influence of my grandparents, I used all possible means to join the academy but without success; even Lucie was powerless in the face of this illogical situation.

Soon, I immediately had a little idea of the person hiding behind these blockages; she was Lisa, Kasel’s mum!

From our first meeting, I could see this lady's eyes shine with unfathomable hatred and disgust for our species. I even thought she was a hunter after noticing her hostility. I didn't know that witches had such contempt for our race, or maybe this woman had a personal hatred.

Anyway, I'll go see her at her house tonight. She will accept to be my mother-in-law, or she will lose her mom’s status!

But when I arrived at her house, a small apt rented recently (according to the information collected by Lucie), I found no one other than my lust's object on the balcony with his inexpressive gazes. What did that mean?? This lady no longer wanted to keep her child. Does she want to see him die at the vampires’ hands?

While I had all these questions in my head, I spotted a f*cking newborn, who couldn't even control his thirst, prowling near the house. At a glance, I could see that this guy was watching the same prey as me! Even if this situation smelled like a trap, I couldn't afford to take this risk. Anyone trying to steal my possession... will die of cruel death!

I have pierced his heart with my ice spear. But simultaneously, something strange happened; the vampire's body became a dark smoke.

"F*ck!"

I murmured to myself, understanding this woman's shenanigans. Immediately, I heard the footsteps behind me coming in my direction; not surprisingly, it was this mysterious lady. Once again, I was wrong in thinking that I would fight against another witch who was indeed stronger than the previous ones.

She passed next to me to the point that her shoulder bumped against mine. Despite everything, the cool air on her face did not change; her quiet was strangely terrifying.

Nevertheless, I did not give up. As cold as she was, I was a hundred times as stubborn. We headed to her house in dull and peaceful silence. And after that, she opened the door without looking at me. Between my surprise and my mistrust of her madness, I constantly looked at this mysterious woman dressed in a black trench coat entering the apt without inviting me or saying anything else.

However, who was I to worry about formality? Not to mention that this lady seemed to know my identity when it was supposed to remain secret, even within our race. Then, I also stepped through the small apt’ door without having any problem.

Honestly, this woman was the strangest among the witches I had met. If I did not know the identity of the queen of witches, I would not be surprised to suspect her of being the queen. Her actions, her lines of thoughts...I couldn't predict even 1%.

Although I have entered her house, she still pretends not to notice my presence.

Seriously?

How can someone who has such hatred for my race be so indifferent to me? In her house on top of that?! I can know this kind of look because her eyes are no different from those of hunters.

In short, I don't care about these things; if she doesn't intend to speak to me, it's her problem; anyway, I'm not here for her. I said to myself, gazing at her, sitting on the sofa and drinking red wine with the wine glass, without even worrying about removing her trench coat. I began to doubt her identity as a witch.

'Pff, leave her in her delirium, Eve. No one is normal in this world.'

Then, I passed next to her and stepped toward my attractive guy's bedroom. At the same time, the eerie lady, whom I began to suspect to be mute, made me hear her voice. "Tell me, little girl, are you ready to be hated by our three races?" She asked me after sipping the wine in her glass.

These words were not words that should be taken lightly. Instead of stopping a vampire who would join her son alone in his bedroom, she warns me, despite I’m the predator and not the prey? I, who was frozen on the spot with an expression of confusion, suddenly saw her continue to speak.

"Thanks to you, we succeeded in avoiding the catastrophe recently, but now you seem determined to cause what you had prevented from happening. But think carefully about what you are about to do; it may be one of the decisions you will regret for eternity."

Hearing these words from her, I was convinced of one thing, witches are the ones who resemble us the most...

But it was not the most important; from what I just heard, the main thing is that she is aware of my intervention to save her son's life. It is just this annoying pride we have in common that makes her unable to thank me.

"I don't understand what you say, but he will be mine, no matter what sacrifices and risks I would take into account... I wouldn't give up what belongs to me!"

Usually, anyone would call me crazy just by seeing my expression, but this lady made only a brief mocking smile as if it were the words she wanted to hear. The silent lady who suddenly became more chatty always had her evil eyes on me and said to me:

"The misfortune of someone is always the happiness of another. As long as you are reasonable and do not try to turn him, you can interact with him at night, but I defend you to appear in front of him during the day; this is the first and last advice from me." After that, she didn't pay attention to me anymore.

It's more and more ridiculous; I guess this woman hides a heavy secret about her son. But the absurd thing is that she seems to have no choice; I can think of it just by seeing her indecision despite the hatred she has in her eyes. What didn't she tell me? One thing is sure, this human is not average, but up to what level? I don't know it, and I don't care.

So, I stepped into his bedroom, and it was my first one-on-one meeting with him.

I have a vague idea of the power of each of you through the recording your instructor had shown me." With falcon eyes scrutinizing each person, Samantha once again insisted on this detail. She then continued. "You're probably wondering why I decided to take this test once again if I'm already aware of it. But the answer is simpler than you can't imagine; it's to prevent the failed people from thinking that I was unfair to them.-One last thing, to pass this test, you must at least master a single basic skill. But for those who will have already mastered two of them, as your instructor ordered, will be the most privileged." After this additional information, she ret
