Chapter 4 Dual Blessings

“How did the hospital manage to save me? I thought I was never going to survive the accident,” Adams muttered as he slowly opened his eyes, but they were immediately forced shut as a bright white light shone into them.

“Am I in a theater?” Adams mumbled to himself. “I’m not surprised I’m still here because that accident was brutal. I never expected I could survive it. The moment I closed my eyes, I thought it was over.”

“My beloved, I heard your cry, and I’ve granted your wish,” a mysterious voice said, causing Adams to shiver.

“Who’s that? Is that the doctor?” he muttered.

He forcefully opened his eyes again, but the bright light immediately shone into them. This time, he placed his palm in front of his face and slowly allowed his eyes to adjust to the brightness. That was when he discovered he wasn’t in a theater at all. He was standing in an endless white room, and the brightness of the walls was what had been reflecting into his eyes.

Suddenly, a female figure began emerging from the walls. At first, a golden boot with a high heel appeared, followed by the rest of her body. Her face was covered by an intense glow, making Adams raise his palm in front of his face again. Once his eyes began adjusting to the brightness, he slowly lowered his hand.

A beautiful, light-skinned woman stood a few meters away from Adams. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds, while her long white hair flowed freely down her back, almost reaching the ground. Massive golden wings stretched from her back, extending from her shoulders down toward her ankles, while golden boots covered her feet.

“Who are you, and where am I? What wish did you grant?” Adams asked.

He didn’t need to be told that the person standing in front of him wasn’t human. He stumbled backward slightly, while the mysterious woman continued staring at him with a gentle smile.

Looking around the strange room, another thought suddenly crossed Adams’s mind.

“Did I die from the car accident? Am I about to be judged?” Adams muttered, his body trembling.

“Stay calm, Adams. I’m Arias, the Goddess of Lust. You were hit by a truck and died, but that isn’t the end. I’m here to reincarnate you into the very world you wished could be real—Crimson Online,” the goddess said.

Arias slowly began spreading her enormous wings, revealing her magnificent figure beneath them; she's not putting on clothes.

“Wow...” Adams muttered unconsciously.

He stared at the goddess for several seconds, but something strange began happening inside him. The longer he looked at her, the stronger the urge became to move closer to her. He didn’t understand what was happening to him, and he wondered if acting on those feelings would anger the goddess. Since he didn’t want to ruin his chances of being reincarnated, he quickly looked away.

“Damn... what’s wrong with me?” Adams muttered as he lightly slapped himself on the cheek.

Still looking away, he spoke again.

“Wait, do you mean Crimson Online, the game wher—”

“Yeah, the game where you can have sex,” Arias interrupted. “But this time, you won’t be playing through a VR helmet. I’ll be reincarnating you directly into that world to defeat the Demon Lord.”

“Wow! You truly granted my wish!” Adams exclaimed excitedly. “You don’t have to worry. I’m a top legend in the game world. I have the best weapons, the best gear, and plenty of experience. Defeating the Demon Lord shouldn’t be difficult. I’ve defeated so many bosses while playing through the VR helmet.”

Adams couldn’t believe he was actually going to be reincarnated into the world he loved so much. There were only a few males and countless females in that world, so he wouldn’t have to worry about being rejected by women anymore. The thought of experiencing everything he had only seen through the VR helmet as reality made him even more excited.

The goddess chuckled before speaking.

“This is reality, Adams. You won’t be as strong as you were while playing through the helmet. In this world, males are naturally weaker, and in order to become stronger and defeat the Demon Lord, you’ll have to complete my quests. Although it may take a long time, you will eventually become strong.”

“When I’m weak, how am I supposed to complete quests? What if the beasts kill me? And aren’t I supposed to have an ability?” Adams asked.

“You don’t have to worry yourself, boy. My quests won’t involve killing beasts or dominating dungeons. They will involve having intimate relationships with beautiful and powerful women, and completing them will make you stronger. As for your ability, you already have my blessing within you. You’ll have to work hard to unlock its full potential. Once you do, you’ll gain the ability to copy the abilities of women you become intimate with for forty-eight hours,” the goddess explained.

“Wow... so the quests are just to have sex?” Adams muttered.

His eyes slowly widened before he suddenly exclaimed, “I love this world!”

For Adams, this was an opportunity to finally turn his life around. After everything he had experienced in his previous life, he saw this new world as a chance to gain the power and confidence he had always wanted; in here he will make the females feel like trash.

Adams couldn’t stop smiling at the thought of living in a world where he wouldn’t constantly have to worry about being rejected by women.

“Make me proud Adams, and once this quest is completed you’ll receive a great reward,” the goddess reminded him.

Adams bowed his head toward her.

“I’ll do whatever you want.”

Slowly raising his head again, he caught sight of the goddess, pink hole and spoke.

“Aren’t you supposed to be putting on some clothes?” Adams asked awkwardly.

“Clothes?” a voice suddenly echoed through the room, followed by a chuckle. “She hates clothes.”

A second female figure emerged from the side.

She was a light-skinned woman whose entire body was covered in colorful steel armor from head to toe, leaving none of her skin exposed. By her waist hung a long blue sword, unlike anything Adams had ever seen before, even while playing Crimson Online. The sword glittered with a mysterious blue light, reflecting across the ground.

There are many gods and goddesses in this world, and among them is Valthera, the Goddess of Steel. She’s a very close friend of the Goddess of Lust, and they often visit each other.

Valthera had heard Arias speak many times about her search for a potential human whom she could send into her world to defeat the Demon Lord and restore power balance. Now that she had seen Adams standing before Arias, she could tell that her friend had finally found the mortal she had been searching for.

“Finally, you found your perfect candidate. He looks cute, by the way,” Valthera said.

“Yeah, Valthera. I was about to reincarnate him into my world just before you came,” Arias replied.

Although Arias could defeat the Demon Lord with a single thought, she had chosen a mortal for the task because she believed it could help maintain balance in the world.

“Sorry, but who are you?” Adams stammered as he turned toward Valthera.

“My name is Valthera. I’m the Goddess of Steel,” Valthera replied as she walked toward Adams. “I think I like you as well. Take my blessing and do great things.”

She raised her palm, and a brilliant white light suddenly erupted from it before striking Adams directly in the chest. The force caused him to stumble backward.

“What just happened? You gave him your blessing as well?” Arias asked in surprise as she stepped forward.

It was only then that Valthera realized what she had done. She hadn’t meant to give Adams her blessing. Something like this had never happened since the beginning of their existence. No mortal had ever received the blessings of two goddesses.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to,” Valthera quickly apologized to Arias.

Adams slowly regained his footing, completely confused by the exchange between the two goddesses.

“What’s going on?” he asked.

Arias stared at him for several seconds, and the gentle smile on her face slowly disappeared.

“There is one more thing you need to know before I send you into my world, Adams,” she finally said.

Adams frowned. “What is it?”

“Because you have now received the blessings of two goddesses, your reincarnation will not happen exactly as I originally planned.”

Adams looked down at his body before raising his gaze toward her again.

“What do you mean?”

“You will be reborn into my world as a child,” Arias explained. “However, your memories of your previous life, Crimson Online, this place, and everything that has happened between us will have to be sealed.”

Adams’s eyes widened.

“Wait... what? You mean I’m going to forget everything?”

“Only temporarily,” Arias assured him. “Your memories will remain safely within your soul. Nothing will be destroyed, and nothing will truly be forgotten. However, because of the two blessings within your body, your soul needs time to properly adapt to its new life.”

Adams remained silent as he tried to process her words.

“Then when will I remember everything?”

Arias slowly smiled again and spoke “On the day you turn eighteen.”

“Eighteen?” Adams repeated.

“Yes. When you reach the age of eighteen, the seal will break in the ability check room, I'll help you return your memories and you'll remember your previous life, your experiences in Crimson Online, your death, and the reason you were reincarnated. At the same time your system will be awaken.”

Adams stared at the goddess in disbelief.

“So I’ll spend eighteen years in that world without remembering any of this?”

“You will live your new life normally until the time is right,” Arias replied. “it's for your mental health safety.”

Adams lowered his gaze, thinking about his friends, his previous life, and the world he was about to leave behind. The thought of forgetting everything felt strange, but Arias had promised that his memories would eventually return.

He slowly raised his head.

“Fine. As long as I get my memories back, I can accept it.”

Arias smiled.

“Good. Then there’s nothing more holding you back.”

Adams took a deep breath and looked at both goddesses.

“So... when I wake up again, I’ll be in Crimson Online?”

“Yes,” Arias replied. “Your new life is about to begin.”

Before Adams could ask another question, a powerful white light suddenly surrounded him, and in an instant, his eyes were forced shut.
