Chap 7: Not So Strong

On a grassland not far from the Goblin nest, a fierce battle was unfolding between the supervising teachers of Moonlight and the Card Masters of the Rolan extraction team. The two sides appeared evenly matched. Their summoned beasts lunged at one another and tore viciously into flesh and bone, while the effects of the Card Masters' Decks spread across the entire field, turning the place into a chaotic battlefield.

A slender arm suddenly pierced straight through the chest of a male teacher. The unfortunate man who had been ambushed widened his eyes in disbelief. He slowly turned his head, staring at the woman standing behind him.

His lips trembled as if trying to say something, yet the only things that poured out were blood and tears.

The woman silently smiled. Her arm slowly twisted inside his chest, causing the wound to tear wider and wider. At last, she pulled out a lump of bloody flesh that was still beating violently.

"Roxana, have you lost your mind? You dare slaughter your own colleagues? The Enforcers will never forgive you. The Alliance will hunt you down."

The other teachers screamed in fury. None of them had ever imagined that the gentle female teacher they once knew would turn out to be the most vicious traitor among them.

If their gazes could kill, Roxana would have died countless times already.

With the death of that Card Master, his summoned beasts also vanished.

With one teammate gone, the pressure on the teachers instantly increased. The balance of the battle immediately tilted toward the extraction team. Rolan burst into loud laughter as he directed his beasts to reinforce the others.

The four hunting dogs howled like crazed beasts. Their eyes turned blood red. Muscles bulged violently across their bodies, radiating powerful auras.

"When my summoned monsters outnumber the enemy, every beast in my Deck receives a boost. Right now they all possess the power of Green rank cards."

"Well? Afraid? Surprised?"

"Ha ha ha ha."

The one eyed man laughed maniacally. He was completely confident in his victory and continued explaining his ability to Most.

Four against one.

The outcome was already decided.

He stared at Most, waiting for fear to spread across the boy's handsome face. Waiting for him to kneel and beg for mercy, so he could trample him mercilessly before ordering the dogs to tear him apart.
