He then swung his arms in the air, aiming for the Abyssal Creature's lower jaw. The bone struck under its jaw, shattering on impact. It cleaved through his right arm and sent him flying into the debris of skeletons. [-3 HP] Samuel rolled, the bones stabbing madly into his body. He stood up quickly and gritted his teeth. But the second Iron-toothed Sabertooth was already upon him. It raised two paws, attempting to claw him. Samuel immediately pounced forward and thrust the bone into the Iron-toothed Sabertooth's chest. Meanwhile, the Iron-toothed Sabertooth's claws cleaved through his chest and torso. [-4 HP] He coughed out blood and fell to his knees. The Iron-toothed Sabertooth was already dead, its dead weight pressing on him. He was on the verge of passing out, the wounds hurting him badly. But he didn't pull out the bone and waited. The last Iron-toothed Sabertooth growled and leaped into the air. It bared its iron fangs as it clawed at him. Thankfully, the other Iron-toothed Sabertooth's carcass served as a smokescreen. It prevented the attacking Iron-toothed Sabertooth from seeing him. It was only attacking him blindly. He immediately planted his left foot firmly on the ground and pulled the bone from the other Iron-toothed Sabertooth's carcass. As the Iron-toothed Sabertooth cleaved through the carcass with its claws, he struck. One blow sent the Abyssal Creature crashing to the ground. He gripped his spear, his pupils dilating. Samuel also gripped his greatsword. The hunter had seen him. His plan had been interrupted. Both hunter and carrier stared at each other for some seconds. The former was petrified, while the latter was tense. “H-how are you still alive?” Mark asked, as he took a step backward. He'd seen several things as an E-Rank hunter. But he'd never seen someone resurrect from the dead. Was this even Samuel to begin with? “Mark!” Someone screamed from a distance. “I told you to wait for us!” Soon, Samuel saw the other four squad members running toward them. They all stopped briefly when they saw the confrontation. Then they slowly advanced toward them. ‘Dammit…’ he cursed, taking several steps backward. [System update!
