Chapter 12

The brown-haired woman immediately explained to Alucard with a smile, "Since you are currently an H-rank adventurer, you can only take on H or G-rank tasks. You can also join other groups to take on higher tasks, but I recommend that if you are new to guild tasks, it is better to take on low-rank tasks to increase your experience."

"After that, as an adventurer below the C level, you must take the task at least five times a year. If you take the task less than five times, then it will lower your rank to the level as. If you rank H, it will take your guild card back, and the next card creation requires money to pay. If you lose your guild card, you will also need to pay to create a new one. Guilds also have rules such as not being allowed to kill other adventurers unless the adventurer attacks you or other rules you can see for yourself."

"We adventurer's guild doesn't bind adventurers too much either. You can leave at any time from the guild and stop being adventurers except adventurers above the S class because they are essential to the guild."

Alucard nodded and said, "Thank you for the explanation."

"It doesn't matter; it's my duty to help the adventurers," the brown-haired woman said with a kind smile.

Alucard and Lelouch immediately went towards the guild board and saw the task. Alucard can know many functions on the guild board, but most of those tasks require items from monsters, such as poisonous snake fangs, crazy goat skins, and other oddities.

Lelouch, beside Alucard, immediately picked up a paper in the guild and said, "Master, how about we take this task? This is perfect for people just joining a guild like you, and what we get is also quite a lot."

Alucard took the paper handed by Lelouch and looked at it. The task in the report is to take a snow rabbit skin; the reward is twenty bronze coins for each snow skin rabbit. Moreover, the snow rabbit is only a level five H-rank monster, so it is not a problem for Alucard to let the lion king defeat him.

But, Alucard, at this time, immediately asked Lelouch, "The snow rabbit is only level five; why is the price of the skin so high? Why don't others take this task even though it's expensive?"

Lelouch smiled and said, "Although the price of snow rabbit skins is quite high, it is only for ranks H and G. For ranks above rank G have more income than this. Moreover, this snow rabbit is very troublesome. If you attack a snow rabbit, dozens of snow rabbits will immediately surround us. But the lord has three lion kings whom each summon two lions, so it will be straightforward for us to defeat these snow rabbits even if they number twenty or thirty heads. The high price occurs because the skin of the snow rabbit is very soft, and nobles are very interested in making coats or clothes wearing the skins of these snow rabbits."

Alucard nodded at this. Although the snow rabbit is only a level-five monster, it will be tough if dozens exist. Moreover, very few H-rank adventurers have a group with many people. Therefore, very few people take on this task.

Alucard and Lelouch immediately took the paper to the front desk of the guild, and the brown-haired woman immediately accepted it with a smile and said they could already do the task.

Alucard and Lelouch immediately walked away from the guild towards the maze tower. Alucard is still riding the lion king he has, which is quite eye-catching on the road. But it wasn't just Alucard who boarded the tamed monster. On the street of this labyrinthine city, several other people ride various kinds of monsters, such as fire horses and even wind eagles, in the sky.

Every time Alucard saw the monsters on the way, Aveline's voice immediately sounded in Alucard's mind.

"Currently, you are analysing a level ten firehouse; the current progress is five per cent, sir. You also are analysing the level seventeen wind eagle; the current progress is three per cent."

Alucard was immediately surprised to hear back-to-back voices from Aveline indicating that he had made progress analysing a monster even though he was looking. Therefore, the progress of the analysis is minimal because Alucard only saw the beast's shape and did not know more clearly about these monsters.

After thinking for a while, Alucard immediately asked Lelouch's directions "Lelouch, is there a library here?"

Lelouch immediately nodded at Alucard's question and said, "There is indeed a fairly large library in this city, but you need to pay the library as much as ten silver coins every hour; therefore, adventurers rarely come to the library."

Alucard nodded and knew he couldn't go to the library because it was too expensive. If it were ten hours in the library, then Alucard would have to pay a gold coin, enough for him to make another lion king.

Alucard and Lelouch immediately walked over and got closer and closer to the maze tower. When they arrived at the front door, several warriors were protecting the front door of this maze. Lelouch immediately paid ten bronze coins and walked towards the labyrinth.

After being far from the soldiers, Lelouch immediately told Alucard, "We have to pay the guards to come to this labyrinth tower. Each person only needs five bronze coins for one to come."

After that, Lelouch picked up the dagger beside his sword and said to Alucard, "Master, you have to take this dagger just in case. Even if you have a lion king and lion protecting you, you still need weapons if things worsen."

Alucard nodded, and then they immediately walked towards the maze. The bright light immediately covered Alucard and Lelouch, and they soon disappeared and came to the 1st floor of this labyrinth tower.

Soon, Alucard and Lelouch felt very cold. Alucard opened his eyes slowly and saw that they had come to a place filled with snow, and this place was more like a forest covered by snow.

Alucard, who felt cold, immediately said to Lelouch beside him angrily, "Why didn't you tell me in advance? If you tell me, then we should have prepared thicker clothes."

Hearing Alucard's words, Lelouch smiled bitterly and said, "I also just came to this maze tower, lord. I've been in the kingdom of lore and never went anywhere else. Because I didn't know that the first floor of the labyrinth tower was a snow forest. Now I understand why there is a snow rabbit monster on the first floor."

Alucard and Lelouch could only smile bitterly and continued to walk under the cold snow to find some snow rabbits and then return as quickly as possible. Alucard was also quite surprised when he saw this snow-filled land. Alucard on earth had never seen snow before because Alucard lived in a country with no snowy seasons.

After walking for a while, they saw some monsters like snow bears, but Alucard and Lelouch didn't care because their goal this time was to hunt down the snow rabbits.

After confirming that there was no one around, Alucard immediately took the lion kings and other lions from his storage room and was immediately surrounded by the lions.

After walking for a while, a lion king immediately ran over quickly and jumped towards a bush covered by snow. When Alucard and Lelouch saw the lion king in a daze because of his sudden actions, the lion king reappeared from behind the bushes with a rabbit with snow-white fur all over his body in the lion king's mouth.

The lion king immediately ran to Alucard's front and dropped the corpse of the snow rabbit. Alucard, happy because he saw the lion king who immediately caught the snow rabbit, said, "Good job."

But, Lelouch, beside Alucard, immediately changed his face when he saw the corpse of the snow rabbit and immediately said, "Prepare to fight! If we attack a snow hare, another snow rabbit will immediately besiege us!"
