CHAPTER 137

Douglas Reed sat across from Juan Pablo Ramirez, Juan’s expression was unreadable as he stared at the man seated before him. He sat behind his desk, puffing his cigar. His office was filled with smoke and the smell of liquid, making it difficult for Douglas to breathe.

“Well, well, look who is here, my old friend, Douglas Reed. What brings you to my abode tonight? You look worried man, cheer up.”

“Get me a glass, I need to make my guest feel comfortable. What do you want, whiskey or Vodka?” He said to be certain Douglas was ready to drink.

“Whiskey,” Douglas replied with a fallen demeanour.

Juan snapped his finger and his guards did as instructed, he poured some whiskey into the glass before Douglas Reed. Douglas raised his hand to stop the guard when he noticed he was satisfied with the quantity he wanted to drink.
