He took up the phone with his face furrowed, “Hello,”

“Hello, Ryan. How are you.” Elizabeth asked.

Ryan sighed and answered slowly. “I am doing good.”

“You didn’t call me, even when I told you I would be travelling. You never even bothered calling me to know if I got home safely the last time we met.” She said in a disappointed tone.

Ryan was contemplating if he should inform her about what happened the night, “Hello, Hello. Are you there? “ she asked.”

“Sorry, I was busy. But I have something important to ask you,” he said.

“What is it,” she asked politely.

“Who is Douglas Reed?” Ryan uncontrollably asked.

Elizabeth was speechless, she struggled to utter a word. Ryan could hear her breathing pace from the phone.

“He is my ex-boyfriend, Ryan. We broke up two months ago and he is still coming back threatening to deal with me if I don’t accept him back. I am sorry I never informed you about it.” She said,

“But how did you know,” she asked.
