In the afternoon, Joel Myers escorted Rael to the police station.

Deep down, he felt heavy and uneasy about escorting a hero like Rael to prison.

One of Joel’s subordinates asked when they arrived at the police station, "Sir, how should we arrange accommodation for Lord Vinsion?"

As those on Rael’s side, they certainly didn’t want to let him stay in an inappropriate place.

Joel scoffed in annoyance.

"Ugh, the dungeon is disgusting. Lord Vinsion really doesn’t deserve to be there!"

However, Rael didn’t mind where he slept.

"Don’t worry, Mr. Myers."

"I’ll be fine wherever I am."

Joel didn’t mean to belittle the man before him.

It was just that someone as remarkable as Rael shouldn’t be breathing in the foul air of a dungeon, let alone staying there.

With regret, Joel replied, "My Lord, the dungeon is filthy, smells bad, and is suffocating."

"It’s completely unfit for you."

Still, Rael remained firm.

"It’s fine."

Just as Joel was about to speak again, Rael raised his hand as if to stop him from continuing.

Calmly, Rael said, "I’m tired. I want to rest."

Since there were no other options, Joel reluctantly escorted Rael into the dungeon.

Meanwhile, after dinner, Calista, Oberon, and Mathis returned to the villa.

Even though the Lieutenant Governor had ruined the dinner prepared for Mathis, they were still happy.

In their hearts, they believed that Mathis’ takeover of Noorhaven had already been decided.

This meant Rael would never have a chance to return.

In his mind, Oberon thought about his family’s future as he formed connections with Mathis’ aristocratic family.

'Fortune! I’ve really hit the jackpot!'

'From now on, my career in politics will get easier!'

It was not just about promotions, wealth, and status.

He was certain his next step would surely bring him to the capital!

Meanwhile, Mathis smiled widely as he imagined how easily he would increase Noorhaven’s GDP to 30 trillion in a year.

Suddenly, Calista hugged Mathis’ arm tightly.

The pressure from her soft chest snapped the long-haired man out of his thoughts.

Calista smiled seductively.

"Darling..."

"I think it’s time for us to rest."

Mathis gazed at the woman who clung to his arm like an octopus.

Shyly, Calista spoke, "Um... don’t worry. Rael never touched me before."

Her smile widened.

Realizing the implication of Calista’s words, Mathis’ tender gaze slowly turned into one filled with desire as he looked at Calista’s slim waist and ample chest.

They both laughed.

Oberon didn’t stop their flirtatious banter.

On the contrary, he smiled knowingly.

"You’re right, Calista. It’s time to rest."

After that, Oberon left, leaving Calista and Mathis alone.

Mathis smiled lasciviously.

"Calista, you look so beautiful tonight."

Mathis' short words brought a blush to Calista's cheeks.

The woman wrapped her arms around Mathis' neck, then whispered.

"Show me how beautiful I am in your eyes."

Mathis grew excited, and he carried Calista to her room like a bride.

In no time, their interaction became so intense that they both ended up in a marble bathtub.

Their clothes were scattered on the floor.

The soft sounds of their giggling could be heard against the gurgling water.

"Mathis... oh... you’re making me ticklish!" She chuckled.

The man laughed.

"You are so wonderful, darling."

Calista smiled with satisfaction as she felt the man in the tub go crazy for her.

Mathis commented with sparkling eyes as he stared at the wet Calista, "That bastard doesn't even deserve to see your shadow."

"Let alone touch and possess you."

Calista looked lovingly at the long-haired man.

"You're right, darling. You are indeed the best for me."

She laid her head on Mathis' chest and played with her index finger on his chest.

Mathis smiled mockingly.

"While we're having fun here, he must be crying and begging for justice in that rotten dungeon."

Calista looked up at Mathis.

"He deserve it."

She rested on her knees while her soft hands rested on Mathis' shoulders.

"Don't think about him anymore."

Her smile was faint as the warm steam evaporated around her pristine white body.

"We'd better get back to having fun."

Mathis nodded in agreement, then approached her and resumed their game.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Mathis and Calista, the condition of the dungeon was very different from what they had imagined.

In front of the dungeon bars, Joel gave an order, “Take down these iron bars!”

A few moments later, several men arrived to dismantle the iron bars.

Once the bars were removed, Joel continued his instructions, “Set this room up to be as comfortable as a five-star hotel.”

With efficiency, Joel’s men cleaned the floors, scrubbed the walls, and decorated the room with expensive furnishings.

They even replaced the old nearly collapsed iron bed with a soft and luxurious one.

Joel's men worked hard to ensure that everything was prepared to provide comfort for their Lord, Lord Vinsion.

Make sure you report to me if you see any movement from Lord Vinsion’s subordinates. If there are any.”They all nodded in unison. “Understood.”Not long after, news of the illegal immigrants’ entry quickly spread because many officials who had previously worked under Rael had either resigned or been dismissed. As a result, Nymbrial County was understaffed to handle urgent matters like this. The news soon reached Oberon and Mathis.Oberon’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. “Illegal immigrant? How is that even possible?”Mathis’s expression also showed concern. After all, during the four

The wave of strikes and mass resignations by state officials in Noorhaven had truly shaken Oberon and Mathis.Mathis muttered, "Why is it that after I took over this state, I have to face such chaos?""Regardless, this turmoil must not drag on, or it will disrupt regional stability and development."More than that, Oberon was even angrier, almost tempted to flip the table in front of him. He completely lost his appetite. Clenching his teeth in frustration, his fury boiled over. The officials' demands to release Rael and their threats of a work strike had truly pushed Oberon's patience to its limit."Fine. If they want to strike or even resign!""I don't care!""In fact, this is an excellent opportunity for Noorhaven to get rid of Rael's loyalists and replace them with new officials who are more open-minded and willing to cooperate with me!""The notion that Noorhaven cannot function properly without Rael is utterly ridiculous!"As Oberon envisioned replacing the officials with talente

Oberon’s idea sounded excellent to Mathis. In that moment, Mathis regained his determination to confront Rael and secure his position in Noorhaven.“That’s brilliant, Mr. Hanson!”Spontaneously, Mathis clapped his hands in delight, praising the clever plan of his future father-in-law. The smile on Mathis’ face reflected his newfound optimism, as if he could hit Rael away like a fly.Oberon nodded.“For now, I’ve already sent my men to investigate the officials who have complaints about Rael.”“To regain your energy, I think you should rest early.”Mathis nodded in agreement.“Sure.”He then retreated to his bedroom. After a long and exhausting day, Mathis felt he needed time to recharge and prepare himself for the challenges of tomorrow.Even so, as he lay on his bed, Mathis couldn’t stop thinking about Rael.“That bastard…”“At least you’re rotting in the dungeon, living a miserable life!”Mathis tried to comfort himself, and the thought of Rael being imprisoned lifted his spirits.Ho

After thinking for quite a while, Oberon finally had an idea.“Mr. Huber, I have an idea!”Lucan stared sharply at Oberon.“Speak!”Oberon quickly explained, “To divert the officials’ attention from the misunderstanding at Rael’s warehouses, we need to create news that will ruin Rael’s reputation!”“I’ll make the public aware that Rael often uses his dark powers to oppress capable officials and prevent them from getting promotions.”“Meanwhile, he allows incompetent officials to retain their positions!”According to Oberon, Rael had always been known for his good reputation because he had done many good deeds. Therefore, exposing Rael’s true face to the public was the right step to destroy their trust in him.Additionally, this diversion would also make the public aware that Rael had been hindering the country’s growth.Oberon’s previously pale face started to shine with optimism.“One more thing. The sharp words from the official on the other end of the line slowly erased the smile from Lucan’s face.Shaking his head in frustration, Lucan retorted, “Are you so envious of Mathis’s accomplishments at such a young age that you resort to making false accusations against him?”In short, Lucan trusted Mathis more than the official on the phone.“You shouldn’t believe everything on TV just because it’s aired there!”The official sneered, “You shouldn’t blindly trust Mathis either!”“I understand he’s your son. But does a father simply stand by when his son does something wrong?”“Let me make one thing clear to you, Mr. Huber. I’m not saying this out of jealousy, as you’ve accused!”“But because the state of Noorhaven has already sent evidence to the capital!”“Every official in the capital now knows about the fraudulent actions of your son!”Without waiting for Lucan’s response, the official ended the call abruptly. The harsh manner of the official left Lucan stunned, speechless for

I am Aiden Russell, a reporter from Nooria News Channel.”With a professional smile, Aiden asked again, “So, is it true that Rael Vinsion is involved in a massive embezzlement case?”The bank staff did not immediately answer the reporter's question. Instead, he simply handed over an envelope that was in his hand to the reporter. Aiden took the envelope with a confused expression.“Are you trying to bribe me so I won’t report this case?”The bank staff's face turned sour, and he replied, “Just open the envelope. You’ll find out what’s really going on here.”Although hesitant, Aiden finally opened the envelope in his hand. The reporter's eyes narrowed when he saw that the envelope
