Chapter 5: Training

Just as she was about to leave, there was a sudden, loud knock on the bathroom door. Startled, both Ego and Lysandra turned their attention to the door, their hearts racing.

The door creaked open, and a voice called out, "Ego, are you in there? I've been looking for you everywhere."

It was Aria, a friend of Lysandra. She entered the room and froze, her eyes widening as she took in the scene. Ego and Lysandra, are in various states of undress, with an air of tension between them.

Aria's gaze shifted from one to the other, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "Did I interrupt something?"

Ego cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "No, No, it's not what it looks like." As he stood up from the bathtub, displaying his perfectly huge thigh. Aria was left mouth opened just at the site of it.

Lysandra, still wrapped in her towel, nodded in agreement. "Yes, we were just having a conversation." She turned to Ego and added, "I think it will be better if both you and the gentlemen down there go back into the tub.

Aria raised an eyebrow but chose not to press further. "Alright, well, we have important matters to attend to. We'll discuss it later. Get dressed and meet us in the council chamber."

With a final glance at Ego and Lysandra, Aria left the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

Ego and Lysandra exchanged a relieved yet puzzled look. The interruption had spared them from a potentially awkward conversation but had also left many questions unanswered.

Lysandra quickly left Ego's room, her thoughts in a whirlwind of confusion and uncertainty. She needed time to process the unexpected turn of events, the revelation of Ego's feelings, and the interruption by Aria. Her heart raced as she retreated to her own room, her mind filled with questions and doubts.

Meanwhile, Ego wasted no time and stepped into the bathroom, quickly finishing his bath. He wrapped a towel around his waist and walked up to the wardrobe on the side of the room to get dressed. As he reached for his clothes, he couldn't help but glance at himself in the full-length mirror on the wardrobe's door.

"Oh dare lord, I think I really messed up today, I shouldn't have done that, what in heaven's name got into me?" Ego murmured to himself.

Just as he began to put on his clothes, a strange and unexpected occurrence startled him. A light blue screen materialized before him, hovering in the air

Ego's eyes widened as he stared at the screen in astonishment, his mind racing to comprehend its significance. He reached out tentatively, but his hand passed through it as if it were a hologram.

"What in the world is this? I've had just enough of the drama for today, " Ego muttered to himself, his curiosity and apprehension growing.

The appearance of the mysterious screen raised more questions than answers. "It seemed to be related to the fantasy world, it's like an AI or something." Ego thought. Just then, messages started to materialize on the screen.

He voiced his confusion aloud, seeking answers from the enigmatic system that had suddenly appeared before him.

Almost as if in response to his inquiry, the message on the screen transformed, offering more cryptic information.

"[Welcome, Host. I'm your system, the gift Asmodus promised to give you]," the message read.

Ego's eyes widened, and his mind raced to recall the name Asmodus. He muttered to himself, "What the hell? I've even forgotten about ever meeting Asmodus."

Turning back to the screen, he couldn't help but voice his skepticism. "Wait, if you are Asmodus's gift, what do you do? How do you work?"

The response from the system came swiftly as if it had been waiting for Ego's questions. "[Well! I'm really easy to understand. I will just give quests to complete, and with that, I will make you stronger.]"

Ego's eyes narrowed as he considered the simplicity of the explanation. "Just that? Are you sure there aren't complications? Because it sounds too good to be true for a gift coming from a demon."

The system's response was unwavering, reassuring Ego. "[There certainly won't be any. And if there is any cause for one in the future, which I hope there wouldn't, you will see for yourself.]"
