  Chapter3: the heavenly empowerment system

The massive explosion that Mavin was witnessing caused every muscle in his body to quake in terror, and his heart came dangerously close to bursting out of his   chest.

The collision of the two powerful entities had resulted in the catastrophic explosion that engulfed all of the stars and planets within the universe and reduced them to shattered particles. This explosion was the cause of the end of the universe.

Suddenly, all life in the cosmos was extinguished, and the darkness spread throughout the entire place as the light of all the stars in existence began to fade.

The only light Mavin could see was the blood red light emanating from the man in the black armor, and the only other light he could see was the holy white light emanating from his opponent.

However, these two lights were intertwined with one another, which obscured the two powerful entities and prevented Mavin from seeing what state they were in.

As Mavin began to wonder, on the inside, who had won the battle and who had lost it, his head was suddenly assaulted by a clinging sound, and he felt a deep, rooted pain in his chest.

Mavin felt as though his chest was being pricked by tens of thousands of needles all at the same moment. The magnitude of this suffering is beyond anyone's ability to fathom.

He moved his chest with all of his strength, with such force that made his nails sank into his skin and dug out a small chunk of his flesh. Mavin was on the verge of going insane from the agony when all of a sudden it stopped, and all of the visions vanished.

When he opened my eyes, he was once again in the never-ending grassland that was covered by a clear sky.

The black-armored man who had been standing in front of Mavin no longer has the armour on, he was staring at Mavin with the kind of gentle smile that an elder will have when looking at a promising descendant.

When he saw the man, despite the fact that his heart was full with questions and conflicting feelings as a result of all that has occurred to me and the vision that he saw, he was immediately gripped by dread.

"You keep your distance from me!"

"Stay back! You're getting too near!"

Mavin shrieked one after the other, but the man remained in his position and chuckled heartily as if he had just been told the funniest joke in the history of the universe.

  As Mavin continued to yell out, he had the urge to run away, but he soon realized that, once again, his  body wasn't listening to me. Nevertheless, Mavin was not going to give up, and he desperately kept trying to move.

"Hey, get a little bit closer!" The man spoke to me all of a sudden.

  As soon as Mavin heard what he had to say, he let go with an outburst that went something like: "Come closer to who, why would I come closer to a freak like you?"

"How dare he tell me to get closer to him when I'm currently working my tail off to get away from him?"

    [yes sir]

    Unfortunately for mavin, a mechanical voice sounded in his  head, answering the man before his body suddenly started moving on its own without his permission, and he  inadvertently got closer to the man.

"What the fuck did you do to me, and why is my body listening to you?" "No way," "what's with the mechanic voice in my head,!" Mavin yelled in an agitated manner, "I really do not like this feeling!"

     When the man heard Mavin's reply, he couldn't help but flash Mavin a sly smile. "I am not the one responsible for controlling your body;   the heavenly empowement system is the one responsible for controlling your body."

" is that suppose to be a name?, who the hell does by such a ridiculous nsme?" 

"Take a good look at your body, and you will realize what I mean!"

    When Mavin looked at his body, his heart nearly leapt out of his chest because at that moment he realized that he had been wearing the black armor that belonged to the man the entire time. When he looked at his body, he had no idea that hehad been wearing it.

"So the heavenly empowement system he was talking about was actually this armour, as it coated his body, he can feel it as if it was alive.

   Mavin's ears were suddenly filled with the sound of a man's voice saying, "young man, you should be overcome with delighted emotions because heavenly empowerment system picked you as his new master, this is a blessing that every cultivator out there will fight for."

"Cultivators?" Mavinsaid it in a curious manner, as the very word had piqued his interest.

The man let out a sigh after hearing Mavin response, and then he surprised him by asking mavin another question after opening his mouth.

"Did you not catch any of the glimpses that I gave you of your fight with the avian of light?"

"Are you talking about that insane vision I saw where you and that other guy clashed and destroyed the universe?, don't tell me that it's real?"

The man did not answer mavin straight but Instead blurted out something.

"Let me start by telling you the story from the beginning"

"There was a period in the distant past when the Avian of Light and I held the roles of master and servant."

"I gave him my sword and swore that I would only use it in his name from then on… But all of that changed when he committed an unpardonable act: he lied to me and the other people who had taken an oath to serve him, and he gave us as an offering to devils in order to amass the fortune that allowed him to develop into the person he is today."

"Unfortunately for him, I survived, and my loathing for him and all of the awful things he had done to reach greatness propelled me into a frantic craving for power," 

"And so I traveled the length and breadth of the universe in search of the one thing that could give me the power to defeat him, and at long last I found the heavenly empowerment system."

" the system gave me power beyond belief, but along with that power came with it, a surge of malice that consumed me and turned me into a blood thirsty demon of redemption. I slaughtered a lot of beings in the world until I was called a fiend by all of existence."

"However, on the day that I regained my sanity, the first thing I did was to find the avian of light and challenge him to a life and death duel."

"And so, in the outer reaches of the universe, we both battled it out, but unfortunately it ended up disastrously, the universe was fractured, and heavenly empowerment system's most vital piece which is the heart of the system was lost in to the vacuum,"

   "I was left with a fatal injury from which I can never recover, no matter how much I try to heal it, it won't work, it keeps on eating my vitality until this day and I can feel that I can no longer hold on, which is why I needed to find a successor who will take over system from me and destroy the avian of light once and for all,"

  After the man had finished his story, Mavin made an effort to act as though he understood before he questioned him. "What  happened to the avian of light after your battle?"

  Before responding, the man who is the blood thirsty demon of redemption gave Mavin a thoughtful look before continuing.

" he won the battle and I was vanquished nevertheless, he also isn't in a good shape, with the injuries I gave him, he will of curse have to heal for billions of years in order to totally recover. "

  After hearing the man's account of his life, Mavin couldn't help but exclaim, "What the fuck, people can genuinely live that long?"

The man then shouted out, "You can't even begin to understand exactly how long cultivators like us can live after we reach the final realm."

"Have all of you now arrived at the highest level of cultivation?"

"Of curse, how else do you think that we are powerful enough to destroy universe, with our battle, fortunately the universe has now revived and produced new life otherwise, you wouldn't exist now"

"In what level of cultivation am I currently in?" Mavin was curious about this because, ever since he got covered by the heavenly empowerment system in the firm of a black armour, Mavin could feel a potent surge of strength throughout his entire body. This is why he asked the question.

  "You are one lucky fellow, without cultivating, you have entered the realm that is the second to the last realm of cultivation all you need to do is to comprehend the your realm of cultivation to be able to amass the power of you full potential, with the help of the world empowement system, that should take at most a year" 

    " all of cultivators out there must all envy you, in just few days you transformed from a weak person who couldn't cultivate into a hight where you only need one  more step to reach the same cultivation as me and the avian of light, this is of curse all thanks to system who is currently covering your body," said the blood thirsty demon of redemption.

    After thinking carefully about everything the man had said to mavin, Mavin confronted him with his questions in a straightforward manner and asked him, "I see, so you picked me up from earth and saved my life just so I could be your successor who would take over your system however, what makes you think that I will accept your system?"

   The man gave mavin a sly look, and then his lips parted into a sinister smile as he approached Mavin.

  "Listen attentively, young man. In exchange for saving your life and bestowing such power upon you, I ask for only one thing in return: you must locate the final piece of the system in order to break into the final realm of cultivation before avenging my death. If you are unable to do so, the system will grind your flesh piece by piece in such a way that you will endure unimaginable pain before you pass away."

   After hearing what the man had to say, mavin felt an intense chill run down his spine. Mavin made a great deal of effort to remove the black armor, but it appears that it is impossible to do so.

  When the man saw what Mavin was doing, he gave mavin  a condescending look before saying, "Don't waste your time, even if you were a million times stronger you can't take off armour, you'll have to reach the last realm of cultivation to be capable of doing so, the heavenly empowerment system is a grand relic that holds a great power equal to a universe."

  After struggling for who knows how long, Mavin finally came to terms with everything. He then questioned the man about the whereabouts of the heart of the system, and he couldn't wait to obtain it and enter the final realm before breaking free of this God-damned armour.

  The man mumbled something incoherent rather than responding specifically to mavin question, which Mavin had asked him. "the system's heart has follen into a lower realm out in the realms of space. It is a domain very familiar to you young man,"

"Are you kidding me? You're obviously talking about planet Earth, aren't you?" A inquired with much zeal. Since the location of the heart of armour on earth indicates that Mavin will soon be able to return to his home planet, he was very excited about it.

"In what other planet of existence do you have experience?" The man then blurted out something that confirmed my suspicions.

When Mavin heard his answer, he was on the verge of jumping in, but the numerous obstacles he've encountered up to this point convinced him to exercise caution instead.

"When exactly am I able to leave then?" Mavin asked hurriedly, he couldn't wait to get back to earth and see his family and his sweet Helen.

  And it should come as no surprise that Mavin couldn't wait to see Shitu Song and everyone else who had mistreated him, suffer the repercussions for their actions,

  However, as mavin was overcome with happiness, the man appeared in front of him out of nowhere and grabbed both of his hands tapped his head before blurting out something.

"Until I transfer to you my one hundred thousand years' worth of my knowledge and experience, you won't be going anywhere!"

  The very moment that the man put his hands around Mavin's head, his entire body jolted, and at the same time, the mechanical voice of the system entered his head.
