Special Mission:

The system Discovered the existence of a person with ill intentions towards the host.

- Eliminate the target..... 1/0

Status: Incomplete

Reward: 10 points

Failure = Death ]

Michael looked at the mission description with a bitter expression.

He never expected this to happen. He supported his body with his right hand and sat on the ground, looking at Leo, who raised his gun and aimed it at Michael.

"You're the insect who saved the boy called Max..." Leo spoke angrily and resentfully, still pointing his gun at Michael.

"Because of you, my brother died... That man thinks you're involved with the person who killed George, but me... I don't care about any of these things. I will kill you and then torture your friend, just like that man did to my brother."

Michael didn't know what he should do. He didn't understand the reason behind Leo's threat of killing and torturing him. He was unaware of what Leo had gone through.

He felt anger and sadness at the same time. Max's condition was unknown to him, but he could still notice the small bloodstain under Max's unconscious body. He stood up from the ground, holding his left arm, which was disfigured.

"You're wrong. I didn't do anything to your brother! I don't know who killed George or the person the other one thinks I'm involved with. But I promise you, if you give me a chance to talk, you will know the exact truth. There's no need to shed blood..."

Michael was just speaking nonsense. He was trying to buy more time to think about how he could get out of this predicament.

Unfortunately, Leo was not in the mood or had the time to know the truth. He was angry that Smith killed his brother, and due to Smith's power, he dared not think of seeking revenge from him. That's why he directed his anger towards Michael and Max. Michael's expression changed when he saw Leo unlocking the safety valve. He quickly summoned the system interface and added 5 full points to the agility attribute.

The attribute panel changed, especially the speed attribute, which now became 7 points. Michael was now seven times faster than an ordinary human.

He didn't have time to indulge in the unknown power that strengthened his leg muscles. He disappeared from his spot like a ghost, reaching a speed of over 75 meters per second.

The distance between Michael and Leo was only about 20 meters. Leo didn't even have time to react. He only felt a powerful force striking his right arm.

"Aaaahhh!" He let out a painful cry and fell to the ground, holding his mangled right arm in a strange position. Michael picked up the gun from the ground and aimed it at Leo.

"N-No, please don't do this..." Leo hesitated for a moment, struggling with himself, but suddenly all those emotions vanished.

"You shouldn't have messed with me... Go to hell,"

Michael's voice echoed inside Leo's mind. He raised his hand and tried to plead with Michael, but Michael let go of his hesitation and pulled the trigger.

Bang!!

The bullet penetrated Leo's face, and the sight was gruesome and terrifying.

Michael felt like he was just something important, but he didn't know what that something was. He closed his eyes to clear his mind, ignoring the message he received from the system, and put the gun in his waist, disappearing from his spot only to reappear next to Max.

He looked at his pale friend's face, then glanced at the metal rod on the right side of Max's body. He removed his jacket and applied pressure to Max's injury, taking out his phone to call for an ambulance.

At that moment, he heard the sound of alarm sirens in the street. Michael saw, with his enhanced vision, a police car approaching them quickly.

He knew he couldn't stay there for long. He had to take Max and escape before they were discovered.

"Max, wake up!" Michael shouted in his friend's ear. "We can't stay here. We have to go now!"

But Max didn't respond. He was unconscious due to blood loss and shock. His face was pale, and his body was weak. Michael couldn't easily carry him.

"Damn it!" Michael sighed. "I can't leave you here, but I can't take you with me either!"

Just when Michael was at a loss, Max opened his eyes slightly and muttered in a barely audible voice, "Go... cough, I'm sorry..."

Michael's eyes lit up when he saw his friend opening his eyes. "Max!! Thank God, buddy, hold on a little bit, I'll get you out of here!"

Max raised his hand with all his current strength to prevent Michael from moving him and said weakly, "Cough, I got shot in my kidney. Any movement could only lead to severe complications... I'm sorry, I don't know if I'll survive this injury..."

"Don't talk!" Michael said, trying to keep his composure. "Hold on, man..."

Max shook his head and continued speaking, ignoring Michael's warning,

"It was me... "

"What do you mean, it was you!?" Michael asked with a frown.

"I'm the one who sent you the message... the pictures showing Susan and Lewis together..." Max said weakly, looking at Michael with a regretful gaze.

"What!!!?" Michael said in a trembling voice. "It was you!?"

"I'm sorry... I'm really sorry..." Max said. "I did it because I saw Susan playing with your feelings. She was just mocking you... deceiving you... exploiting you..."

To Max's surprise, Michael didn't show any anger. Instead, he closed his eyes and said gratefully, "Thank you, my brother..." Michael wasn't angry about the revelation; on the contrary, he was grateful that Max showed him the truth. He opened his eyes and saw that Max had closed his eyes and his breathing had become weak, but he was still holding on to life.

Michael relaxed, then raised Max's hand and placed it on the injury. He stood up, looked towards the approaching ambulance and police car, and said,

"I need to leave. Max's life is safe now that the ambulance has arrived, if i stay I will definitely be caught by the police."

Staying at the crime scene was foolish. Committing a murder, even if Leo was the one who attacked first, didn't negate the fact that he was innocent. Michael sighed with frustration and swiftly disappeared from his newly acquired ghost-like speed.

Whoosh!

What Michael didn't anticipate was that one of the surveillance cameras captured the entire scene. Of course, he was unaware of this fact.

He ran relentlessly until he reached the abandoned building. He sat on the ground and leaned against the wall, letting out a long sigh. Then he looked at his broken left arm and grimaced in pain.

"My body is still fragile..."

He ignored the unbearable hope and focused on the messages he had previously disregarded when he was under threat of a weapon.

Ramos sighed deeply, trying to push away the feeling of despair that engulfed him. His eyes followed Harry's bewildered gaze towards the broken space, filled with thousands of shimmering mirrors reflecting painful memories. The scene resembled shattered dreams, each mirror holding a piece of Harry's past, from the days of battles to the small moments spent away from the battlefield."I've endured a tough life, my friend. I can't even imagine the extent of the pain I've been through," Ramos said softly, patting Harry's shoulder tenderly, trying his best to offer comfort. He felt the weight of Harry's words in his heart, as if they were slowly piling up like stones, yet he knew his consolation was the least he could do.Harry smiled wearily, looking at Ramos, and said with a mix of sadness and acceptance, "It was my fate, and I'm content with it... I've learned to accept what cannot be changed... even if it was a bad fate. I don't know why I'm still alive, but I'm grateful for that, and

“Who is this person!?” Ramos asked in a solemn tone as he pointed to the man floating in midair. He felt like he was just an ant, even if this scene was just a memory, he could feel the man's terrifying strength. "This is Eclipse, or that's what he called himself," Harry answered in a sad tone, as if the scene before him had made him feel something he had forgotten. He did not add anything other than revealing the man's name. He only pointed to the scene that had begun to come to life. “Heh, my family would definitely love this planet, the ruins, the destruction, the corpses everywhere...” The man known as Eclipse said sarcastically as he stared around with emotionless eyes as if he had seen his fair share of corpses and destruction. “Well it's war, what do you expect, man...” Harry answered in an exhausted voice while looking at Eclipse warily, he was clearly sensing the frightening aura coming from the latter. “Your condition, my friend, is not good. I see a fair amount of en

"Finally I've arrived..." Harry murmured as he looked at the city that was starting to become clear. A deep frown formed on his face when he noticed the miserable state of the city. This scene reminded him of the monsters invading his city and how desperate he was in confronting them. “I'm not strong enough yet. If I had enough power, I would make sure the monster race was wiped out of existence. “Damn, damn it, damned monsters, even after running for several miles, you are still running after me...” Harry said indignantly as he ran at a crazy speed, stopping between trees every now and then. Behind him were all the trees falling followed by a terrifying roar, behind him was a horde of crimson-skinned rhinos known for their formidable defense. What was surprising was that even with transferring a lot of points to the agility attribute and using the ability of super speed along with the ability to manipulate gravity to make his body light, he still could not get rid of the horde of rhinos. All of this happened when he parted ways with the Alpha Squad. Apparently something big happened because Harry can remember the features and tone of Zeal's angry voice when he assigned him a special mission. While he was running towards the place that Zeal told him, he was attacked by a rhinoceros with crimson skin. He was able to kill him with difficulty due to... Because this monster ha

"Hey, Smith, doesn't that man over there seem unsuitable for this task?!" Charles said with a frown as he looked at Harry, who was closing his eyes and leaning against the wall of the vehicle. Zeal, who was near them and was able to hear Charles' words, smiled sarcastically “Idiot, he doesn't know that Harry can destroy him so easily...” he thought as he listened to Smith begin to speak “No, I don’t think so, you don’t know but every one of these people here are elite and their strength is terrifying for their age...” Lina raised her eyebrows in interest when she heard Smith's exaggerated praise of the Alpha Squad members. “Uncle Miles said the same thing, but no matter how strong they are, they cannot stand up to the wrath of the monster race, which even I with my strength are powerless against...” She let out a long sigh. *** After 6 hours of travel, Harry had his eyes closed the entire time in a contemplative position, but now he suddenly opened them and a smile formed on

Suddenly the door to the next cabin opened “As I told you, Lina, it's dangerous this time. If you don't want to go, I can tell my father not to send you there...” A young man who appeared to be in his twenties, distinguished by his blonde hair tied in a ponytail, spoke. The young man was tall and of medium size. . “How many times have I told you, Charles, that this is none of your business, I know what to do...” replied Lina, the woman who had previously transported all the residents of Yermo City. A middle-aged man standing behind them sighed and said While patting Charles on the shoulder “Okay that's enough, let me introduce you to Alpha Squad...” He pointed at Harry and the others who were staring at them. Zeal got up and walked forward. The man smiled and extended his hand to shake hands with Zeal, who responded to the handshake and said “Samir, long time no see, it seems you have acquired some souvenirs...” Zeal was pointing at the scar under Samir’s chin.
