The hospital was buzzing with patients and nurses ran here and there, trying to assist all the accident victims.

Bodies drenched in blood were lying on the stretchers, nurses rushed into the emergency with them.

"Hurry up! Tell the paramedics to reach there on time". A doctor shouted at the nurses as he made his way into the emergency.

"Doctor! We are losing them". A nurse walked along a senior doctor.

"Everything's gonna be alright.. let's hope for the best". The doctor replied and went into the emergency.

"Hurry! This way!". A paramedic led the stretchers in.

"Please! Please help me! My father, I'll lose him". A guy came in crying as he pulled a stretcher behind him on which an old aged man was lying. His head was bleeding.

"Holy sh-". Doctor Benji said as he looked at the patient. He looked up at the nurses. "Take him to the ICU, he's badly injured.. Fred, run to the neurology department and call Doctor Rosalie. Tell her that we need her".

The nurse ran away to get the doctor.

"Is my father going to be okay?". The guy asked the doctor.

"He will be fine.. I assure you, Doctor Rosalie is gonna save him". Doctor Benji smiled and left.

In the washroom, she was washing her face, stooped on the sink. Rosalie looked up into the mirror. Her big, mesmerizing blue eyes were tired and dark circles surrounded them. Water droplets ran down her smooth, white skin.

She sighed and moved away from the mirror, drying her face with the towel.

A knock on the door startled her. "I hope Susan's okay". She went out. "Come on in". Rosalie wore her lab coat and seated herself.

A grey haired, aged man stepped inside with a grin. He also wore a lab coat.

"Daddy!". She smiled. "I thought Susan needed me".

"I heard how greatly you performed that troubled woman's surgery". He walked in and closed the door behind him. "And I see how tired that made you".

"It was 22 hours long surgery, Daddy". She said and leaned on her chair.

"I know it's difficult but that's our job, right?".

"Job? That's my duty". She smiled.

"Indeed, we are obliged". The man replied, impressed by her answer and sat opposite to her. "The hospital is bustling with the victims of the recent train crash".

"Oh? They might need us". Rosalie sat up straight.

"Yes, my dear". He nodded.

"We should go". Rosalie stood up.

"Aren't you tired?".

"No!". She shook her head. "I should go".

Meanwhile, someone knocked on the door and a nurse stepped in.

"Fred?". Rosalie said.

"Doctor Rosalie.. Doctor Ross.. we need you in the emergency". He told, panting.

She looked at Doctor Ross_ who was her father_ and nodded at Fred.

"We'll be there". She said.

Fred gave a nod and left the room.

"Let's go, sweetheart". Ross stood up.

"Rosalie!". A female doctor ran after her as she made her way towards the ICU.

She turned back and glanced at her. "No time, Vivian.. I need to deal with the patient".

"I know, but I need your help". Vivian replied, following her.

"What help?". She stopped and turned to her.

"There's a patient in the emergency, she's pregnant and she has this severe injury on her head". Vivian told.

"Excuse Me? Are you Doctor Rosalie?". The same guy who came with his father, interrupted them. His eyes were full of tears.

"Yes, it's me". Rosalie nodded.

"Please save my Dad". He cried.

"I..".

"Rosalie!". Vivian squeezed her arm. "She needs your help".

Rosalie looked at them perplexed. "Alright, stop!". She took a deep breath. "I need to think". She looked at the guy. "Look, I know it's difficult and isn't acceptable, but the woman's pregnant, if we assist her first, we will save both of them, the mother and the child. And If we save your father first, we will only save one life, and we want to save maximum".

The guy looked at the ground. "But he was badly injured".

"The woman is young and it's her first baby". Vivian said in a low voice.

"Ugh, I wish Kian was here". Rosalie said frustratingly.

"Don't we have another doctor?". The guy asked.

"He's on leave". Rosalie replied.

"Okay, I think you should see the woman first". The guy replied.

"Really?". Vivian's face beamed.

"Yes". He nodded.

"That's something a person with a big heart can do". Rosalie smiled. "Vivian, go tell Doctor Benji to assist his father till I deal with the girl".

With that, she rushed towards the emergency.

In a big, dark mansion, covered in vines, standing alone in woods, a man dressed in an old fashioned outfit sat in a room, old fashioned couches and wooden floors told that it was very old house.

"What's the situation?". He asked. His voice was commanding and dominating.

A guy, in late twenties,as white as sheet, stepped forwards. His neck and arms were tattooed and his dark eyes, covered by long, thick eyebrows made him incredibly handsome. His platinum blonde, messy hair added handsomeness to his aura. He moved at the coffee table in front of him and took out a paper_ that seemed to be a map_ from his pocket. His smooth hands ran on it, straightening it.

"The Alpha Clan has taken over these, these and these areas which were under OUR supervision since the last century.. there's a mole among us who has helped them do this".

"Ugh.. I hate traitors". The man stomped his foot on the ground and looked around in the room. Three men and a woman stood in the room, looking at the ground. "Vladimir".

One of the man looked up and stepped forwards. "Hendrick".

"I want you to look deeper into this case.. I don't know what's drowning us". The man said.

The man whom he called Vladimir, nodded politely. "I'll try my best to find the mole, brother".

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU, HENDRICK!". A shaky, old voice thundered as an old man, who grabbed a long stick in his hand came in. He looked angry.

Everyone turned to him and the man_ Hendrick _ stood up. "Sire, you here?".

"SHUT UP! NO NEED TO RESPECT ME.. WHAT AM I TO YOU? YOU DROWNED THE LOMBARDIS". He seated himself on the couch and looked at the young guy from earlier. His expressions softened. "I see the future of the vampires in you, Venturo".

The guy looked away, totally amused.

"Do you know why the werewolves are taking over our properties? Because you are no longer a good leader, Hendrick..". The old man turned angry again.

"Sire-". Hendrick tried to say something but the old man interrupted him again.

"I didn't allowed you to speak". He said and rolled his eyes, glancing at everyone in the room. "Where's Abigail?".

Everyone looked at each other restlessly.

"WHERE'S ABIGAIL?". He repeated.

"She left". Hendrick gathered the courage to speak.

"Left? When?". The old man asked, sitting up straight.

"A long time ago". Hendrick looked away.

"And where's the child?". The old man asked. "WHERE'S YOUR HEIR, HENDRICK!".

"I never had a heir". Hendrick replied. "Venturo is our heir".

"Venturo is not your heir.. he can be a great commander, the heir's partner who fight along with him but not the heir.. you are the leader and your offsprings are our heirs". The old man said. "And what do you mean you didn't had a heir? Last time I heard from you, your child was born. On the blood moon in August, 27 years ago. The child would be grown up now, where is it?".

"It was Venturo, he was born on the blood moon".

"Stop it! I'm not a fool.. Abigail was expecting your child, I remember it like yesterday". The old man said. "And Venturo was a day older than your child".

"It died". Hendrick responded.

"Died? A Vampire never dies!". He exclaimed.

"Father Lawrence, Abigail and Hendrick are not together anymore. And.. about the baby, we don't know where it is". The woman spoke up.

"Mother". Venturo whispered at her.

She gestured him that she knew what she was doing.

"WHAT? THAT CHILD WAS PRECIOUS!". The old man, Lawrence stood up. "HENDRICK? ARE YOU A FOOL?".

"Sire, Abigail took it away". Hendrick replied.

"Not really, he told her to take it away from us". The woman interrupted again.

"A LEADER NEVER LIES!SHAME ON YOU". Lawrence shouted. "That child of yours was your heir. It was named Rhea by my Father".

"It was not my heir, Sire.. it was.. It wasn't a Vampire". Hendrick said reluctantly.

"How can you say that?". Lawrence moved at him.

"It didn't drank the blood and ended up feeding on milk instead, like a human". Hendrick looked at the ground.

"That made you realize that it wasn't a Vampire?". Lawrence was furious.

"Yes, because every Vampire Baby feeds on blood when it takes birth and my daughter didn't". Hendrick's voice cracked and he took a deep breath.

"You are a fool.. I wonder why I didn't chose Vladimir to be my heir". Lawrence sighed. "I'm so disappointed in you.. you're not my son".

"Father". One of the man walked at him but he raised his hand to stop him.

"Do you know what your baby daughter, Rhea was capable of?". Lawrence asked Hendrick. "She had the TOUCH OF DEATH".

"Touch of Death?". The woman gasped.

"Yes! The power of ruining the werewolves in a single touch..". Lawrence looked at Hendrick. "..and she had this power of taking away everyone's pain and sorrows along with many other abilities".

"I.. didn't knew that". Hendrick was amused.

"Get the child back and make her the heir.. she's our success. Go to Abigail and get her back". Lawrence commanded. "I thought I'll go see my granddaughter some day, hug her and grant her with the leadership myself but seems like my son didn't wanted all that!".

"Father". Vladimir said in a low voice. "We were all so confused and scared when the child was born".

"You should've told me". Lawrence rolled his eyes. "Hendrick, BRING_ THE CHILD_ BACK". He said and went out of the room.

Lawrence Lombardi was the father of the current Vampire Chief, Hendrick Lombardi. Due to the presence of a traitor among The Lombardis, the areas under the control of the Vampires were occupied by the Werewolves of Alpha Clan. That put a question mark on the role of Hendrick as a Leader.

Vladimir was Hendrick's younger brother and The woman, whose name was Sarah, was his wife and they were Venturo's parents. The other two men were brother-in-laws of Hendrick and Vladimir.

Abigail was Hendrick's wife_ a human_ who gave birth to a baby girl, Rhea, who wasn't a vampire, according to them. Hendrick divorced her and kicked her out. It was a tradition of The Lombardis not to tell anyone who's not the part of the house that a woman of their house was pregnant. It was after their birth that they told everyone about the baby. So, no one knew about Rhea.
