2025-04-12 09:29:00Eureka didn’t like halting the auction, but because the crowd seemed invested in their duel, she let herself fall for Sawyer’s provocation. “Let’s take a short ten minute break during which we all can enjoy watching the duel on stage.”
Ashton jumped and covered over twenty feet in one go and landed on the stage.
Sawyer was walking toward the stage, but Sasha quickly came over to him and said, “Don’t go. You’ll die.”
Sawyer slightly smiled. “Let’s go out on a date tomorrow.”
“What the hell are you saying? Don’t you value your life? Ashton is easily a dozen times stronger than Big Dog!” Sasha blurted angrily, but Sawyer still entered the stage.
“Hahaha,” Mike was laughing in the distance as he recorded what’s happening on the stage with his artificial eye. “An infamous rookie vs a seemingly poor common man. I wish Dad was here. He would have loved to see this.”
People already began to clap and root for Ashton. The model Betsy who came here with Ashton was also rooting for him, though she also seemed interested in Sawyer because of his looks.
“No killing is allowed. You’re free to give up anytime you want,” Eureka told both the contestants. “The time limit, as I have said, is ten minutes.”
“I only need ten seconds to turn him into a slime,” Ashton grinned like a beast and pumped his fists together.
“Start.” Before Eureka finished the word, Ashton leaped forth and unleashed a powerful technique, “Hurricane Fists!”
His fists exploded through the air, creating booming noises every time they punched at Sawyer.
Thick vapors spread throughout the stage.
Everyone thought Sawyer’s body was going to turn into a pulp and be blown to bits.
Eureka could have stepped in, but she chose not to.
Sasha covered her eyes, not wanting to see the brutality transpiring on stage.
David and Darius snickered as if everything happening was very much within expectations.
Mike appeared a bit nervous, for Ashton was quite stronger than he thought.
As different people in the crowd kept saying that the duel was over, the vapors soon settled down.
Everybody was shocked to see the person hugging the stage.
It wasn’t Sawyer but Ashton!
What the fuck just happened?
Nobody could tell what happened on the stage.
Even Eureka, who was standing as a referee on stage, had no clue. Nevertheless, she was shocked to see her brother lying like a slug stuck on the floor.
Sawyer stood his ground, completely unhurt and unexcited.
Sasha’s eyes were filled with wonder. (Was his win against Big Dog not a fluke?)
“H-How is this possible?” David’s mouth widely opened. “There must be some sort of a trick!”
Darius looked at Mike who was laughing and clapping. “Don’t tell me…”
Just then, Ashton opened his eyes and realized that he was on the floor. (Did I lose? Impossible!)
Unable to swallow the loss, he forcibly got up to his feet and glared at Sawyer.
“You! What sorcery did you use?” Ashton growled. “I saw you sitting with Mike Ray. Did you receive some sort of power-enhancing drug from him?”
The people in the crowd started looking at each other, and murmurs sprang to life.
Ashton didn’t want to accept the loss, especially knowing what’s at stake. “I refuse to believe that you fought fairly!”
“Yeah, he must have relied on drugs!”
“Otherwise, how can he beat Sir Ashton?!”
“Kick that cheater off the stage!”
Different people purposely supported Ashton, as they had business deals with the Fletcher family.
“If you want, I will fight you again,” Sawyer maintained eye contact with Ashton.
Ashton’s pride was hurt, but he couldn’t risk fighting Sawyer not knowing what kind of a drug he might be using.
“Or you can accept your loss,” Sawyer added, “and fulfill the four conditions.”
“I won’t accept the loss!” Ashton suddenly snapped and leaped at Sawyer, slashing his claw-like hand down.
Swoosh!
BAM~!
A couple of teeth flew off the stage and fell in the drinks on the table where the Deville family members were sitting.
An utter silence fell over the crowd as the teeth weren’t Sawyer’s but Ashton Fletcher’s.
