These words were like rubbing salt to the wound that was the slap Ashton had received.
Ashton’s face turned ashen.
He totally did not see that coming, especially because she must be under the side-effect of the drug and should be inflamed.
The onlookers were stunned into stupendous silence.
David and Darius, even more so.
Sawyer raised his eyebrows as he remembered the time she hit him between the legs. “She can be really bold if she tries, but she might not get away with it this time.”
Before Ashton said anything, David immediately stood and slapped his daughter and roared, “Sasha, have you gone crazy?”
“He’s touching me inappropriately from under the table, Dad,” Sasha cried, her eyes already wet.
Sawyer clenched his fist. His face darkened.
“He’s your fiance!” David’s voice only grew louder. “He’s obviously going to want to flirt with his to-be-wife. Instead of understanding that, you just went and slapped him! Get down to your knees and ask for an apology. Beg for his mercy!”
Normally, Sasha’s heart would quiver at her father’s command, but now, she replied in a strong voice, “I’d rather break than bend my knee before this piece of shit.”
Her words made the jaws of many people drop.
“You!” David raised his hand to slap her again.
Sasha closed her eyes in a frightful response.

Sasha wasn’t hit, so what was that sound?
She opened her eyes, only to see someone she least expected grabbing her father’s hand.
“You are…” David’s blood curled after seeing Sawyer of all people.
“Do you want me to tell everyone what happened last night in your mansion?” Sawyer threatened in a low voice.
David’s heart shook at once.
If the word gets out that Sasha and Sawyer spent a night together in her bedroom, Ashton and all the rich potential suitors would not want to marry Sasha anymore.
Moreover, the Deville family’s reputation would be utterly ruined.
David lowered his hand reluctantly and said, “This is our family matter. You should mind your business. I’m speaking for your own good, brat.”
“Uncle, leave this trash to me,” Ashton said, getting up from his seat. “You, blue-eyed buddy… I know that you have your eyes on my fiancee. So, how about we have a duel?”
“You want what?” Sasha was startled. “You grew up eating many elixirs, so you are quite strong. And you want to fight him?”
“Since he’s vying for someone out of his league,” Ashton coolly responded, “he must at least be ready to face the risks. If I win, he’ll never bother you and will have to permanently leave this country.”
“And if I win?” Sawyer asked back.
“Hahahaha,” David and Darius immediately burst out into laughter, which also made many other onlookers laugh.
“You want to win against Ashton Fletcher?!”
“While he’s yet to officially become a super soldier, he’s already won multiple duels against certified super soldiers!”
“He’s considered to be as talented as his dad in martial arts!”
“Forget about winning, it’s impossible for you to pluck a single hair on his head.”
As insults poured on Sawyer, he fingered his ear. “Too much gibberish. Just tell me what you’ll give me if I win.”
“What do you want?” Ashton haughtily asked.
“Of course, I want you to cancel your engagement with Sasha and then leave this country,” Sawyer said without hesitation. “Also, I want the Evergreen Flower.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Eureka immediately growled. “Evergreen flower is going to be sold in the auction tonight! It can’t be included in the bet.”
“Why? Are you afraid your brother will lose?” Sawyer asked her back.
“This braggart…” Eureka felt like beating the shit out of Sawyer right away.
“Fine!” Ashton loudly stated. “If you win, you can have Sasha and the Evergreen Flower. And I will leave this country.”
Nobody in the crowd complained as they didn’t see Ashton losing to Sawyer, even if Sawyer were to only use his pinky to fight.
“I’m not finished yet,” Sawyer added. “My fourth and last condition is… you should fall on Sasha’s feet and apologize to her for all the pain and suffering you inflicted on her.”
Ashton’s jaw hardened. “That’s only if you win!” He coldly glanced at his sister. “When can we have the duel?”
“How about now?” Sawyer smirked and looked toward her stage where her sister was. “But if you’re afraid that I might win, you can pick another date so you can better prepare for it.”
Eureka didn’t like being looked down upon by a no-name guy. “The duel will happen now!” she declared.
