Eric blinked at the man, refusing to take the letter. “Who are you? I don't know who you are.” He shifted backward, trying to avoid the man's touch.

The man smiled faintly, understanding. “You have nothing to fear,” he said, his voice reassuring. “I'm Henry Lucas, your grandfather's right-hand man. He's sent us here to bring you home.”

Eric protested, his voice weevil. “I don’t have any parents. How then will I have a grandfather?” He asked, looking skeptical. “Or have you all come here to kidnap me with those expensive cars of yours?”

Henry shook his head, chuckling softly. “Oh, no. We aren't here for that, sir,” he said dismissively. “You'll have to come with us so you'll know better.”

“Sir?” Eric frowned, unimpressed. “Why are you calling me that?”

Henry chuckled lightly. “Like I said, when you come with us you'll get to know more.”

Without waiting for another response from Eric, Henry turned to face the crowd that had gathered around Eric, his expression dark. “What were you all trying to do to him?”

One man quickly replied, his voice shaking. “It’s him not us,” his hand trembled as he pointed at the manager of the bar.

The manager put up a face, his voice calm. “I didn't know he's your young master, I swear. But everything's fine now, you can leave with him.”

However, the brief waitress stepped forward and said, “Sir, he ordered beers and emptied four bottles, but he isn't willing to pay,” she said respectfully.

“Shut up, your filthy thing! How dare you tell him that? Do you want to die?” The manager shut her up, his voice hardly above a whisper.

His expression was stern but as he turned to face Henry, his expression softened. “Sir, please, don't mind her,” he said with a smile, “you can go, it's nothing.”

“How much is it, young lady?” Henry asked the waitress, not paying attention to the manager.

“$100 has been gotten from him. It's remaining $20,” she replied

Without wasting time, Henry pulled out his phone. “Your account details, please?”

The manager stepped forward, smiling like a fool. “I’m the manager here, you can send it to the bar's account.”

“Get out of my sight, you fool!” Henry shouted at him. “Weren’t you afraid a minute ago? Why act so bold now because she has spoken up?” He glared at him so that the manager had to step aside in shame and embarrassment.

“Please, give me your account details,” Henry requested again, turning back to the waitress. She reluctantly relayed her details to him.

In just a few seconds, Henry looked up at her. “$500 sent. Send the twenty dollars to the business account and keep the rest to yourself, okay?”

Everyone gasped, staring at each other in awe. They couldn't believe their eyes.

Murmurings started to fill the air.

“So, this guy wasn't as poor as we thought,” one murmured.

“We probably got the wrong impression of him,” another muttered.

“This is why it isn't good to judge a book from its cover.”

The waitress was stunned as well. But before she could say a word, Henry turned to the bodyguards, “Help the young master, and let's get out of here.”

“No, I'm going nowhere with you all. You can't fool me with those acts of yours,” Eric argued, trying to yank himself from the grip of one of the bodyguards.

Before another word could come out of his mouth, the bodyguard knocked him, causing him to pass out. “I'm sorry, young master, but that's the only thing that should be done.”

With that, he carried him to the car. And with everyone in the car, they zoomed off, leaving the crowd behind to stare in astonishment.

Meanwhile, in a neatly arranged room, Ivy was seated on the bed, a white towel wrapped around her, but above her knees, almost showing her thighs.

Cole was wearing just a pair of pants, sweat glistening on his body. He looked at Ivy, licking his lips in satisfaction. “That was a great, perfect round,” he said. “I really enjoyed it.”

“You're too good in bed, Cole,” Ivy admitted, feeling satisfied too. She stretched her hand to retrieve her phone from the bedside stand.

“Got a video of us doing it. Gonna send it to that wretched thing called Eric,” she said with a cold smirk.

“Oh, wow! That's great!” Cole nodded, putting on his trousers. “He’ll enjoy watching me do you.”

Ivy scrolled through her phone, looking for Eric's contact to send the video. The video was a naked picture of her and Cole having sex together.

As she came across Eric's contact, she smirked before reluctantly sending the video with a short text. “Enjoy the video in your miserable state. It's gonna fix you.”

Meanwhile, Cole's phone started to ring almost immediately. He reached out to the phone and a smirk escaped from his lips as he saw the name flashing on the screen.

Swiping the phone up, he spoke into the speaker. “Hello, that was a nice performance. I'll send you the balance today. Just send your account details to me.”

“I will definitely,” the man said joyfully from the other end. But then added, “But how were you so certain he's going to fight back?”

“That's because he's a nobody! Ivy has been the one feeding him so I definitely knew he's gonna fall for it. However, I'm just glad you fired him. Now, his life will be more miserable than ever.”

Alex, Eric's boss, where he was fired, replied from the other end. “Anything for the money. Once it's involved, leave things to me.”

“I love that,” Cole answered him and then repeated. “Just forward your details to me and let me balance it up.”

He ended the call and smirked to himself. “His life will be as nothing now,” he muttered to himself before walking back inside.

“Who was that?” Ivy asked, seeing Cole enter the room.

“That was Alex, your ex-boyfriend’s boss. He just called to demand his balance.”

Ivy's face twisted into a slight frown. “Eric was never my boyfriend. In fact, he isn't worthy of being one. I was just managing him so please, don't call him my ex-boyfriend.”

She felt disgusted when Cole said that.

“My apologies, ma’am,” Cole chuckled softly. “I won't dare try it ever again,” he said, “so, have you sent the video to him to enjoy?”

“Yes,” Ivy replied, tilting her head.

This is your home and I'm your grandfather—Christopher.”Boom! Eric was shocked. His eyes widened in disbelief. “Y—you’re my grandfather?” A faint smile escaped his lips and he shook his head. “Tell me you're joking, right?”Christopher shook his head, his expression calm and his smile never faltering. “That's the truth, my boy. Weren't you surprised how I got to know your name? That's because I'm a grandfather.”Eric's mind skipped, and fear gripped him almost immediately as something seemed to strike his head. The name sounded familiar and so was his face when he had a closer look. “Eric?” Eric repeated his own name, shocked. He immediately looked up at the old man. Confusion and surprise were written all over his face. “How do you know my name? And who are you?” He asked, still on his knees. Christopher smiled, understanding his curiosity but he said, “Please, stand up first and have a seat. Only when that is done shall we discuss.”Eric was reluctant but at the old man's persistence, he stood up, staring around briefly before looking at the man. He was short of words. “Please, sit down,” Christopher gestured toward the couch.“Sit down?” Eric asked, shaking his head as he glanced at the plush cushion. “No, I'll stand up, I can't afford to buy a new one if I dirty anyone.”Christopher chuckled lightly. “It doesn't matter. If it gets dirty, I'll trash it and get a new one.” His voice was casual as if getting a new cushion as plush as that was the simplest and easiest thing to do. “Please, have a seat and make yourself comfortable, I'll be back.” Without wa

Everything in the room screams wealth and sophistication. On one of the plush cushions lay an unconscious, young, handsome guy around the age of twenty-three, and an elderly man, around the age of eighty, stood tall there, arms crossed, glancing down at the guy.He couldn't say a word. The room was like a graveyard except for the soft ticking of the old wall clock. The old man just stared down, concern and worry evident on his facial expression. “Doc, hope he will be fine?” The old man asked a man who was putting on a white garment. The silence finally broke. It was the family doctor. The do
