Lucas let out a dry scoff as he stared at the people in front of him.

His brows were drawn together tightly, and the disbelief on his face was obvious.

The number they had just mentioned was still ringing in his ears, and no matter how hard he tried, his mind simply refused to accept it.

He shook his head slowly and looked from one face to another.

“If this is some kind of joke,” Lucas said, his voice heavy with disbelief, “then please stop it right now. I do not think it is funny.”

No one spoke.

Lucas rubbed his forehead with one hand as if trying to clear his thoughts.

“All I asked for was money for food,” he continued slowly. “I told you I was hungry and that I had nowhere to sleep tonight. That is all I wanted. You did not have to use my situation to play a prank on me.”

His voice was calm, but there was pain hidden in it.

The three tech experts exchanged uncomfortable glances, while the wealthy man remained quiet.

The beautiful young woman watched Lucas carefully for a moment before she finally stepped forward.

Her movements were calm and gentle. She walked up to Lucas and slowly placed one hand on his shoulder.

Lucas immediately lowered his gaze and looked at her hand resting on him.

Then he raised his eyes to her face.

She was smiling softly at him now.

“Mr…,” she paused briefly before continuing with a warm tone, “no one is joking with you.”

Lucas looked at her silently.

“My father promised you twenty percent of his bitcoin if you recovered it,” she continued gently. “And my father is a man who always keeps his promises. That was not an empty statement.”

Lucas stared at her as she spoke, but his eyes kept blurring. It felt like his brain could not process the meaning of her words.

He swallowed slowly and asked carefully, “Are you really saying that I have been given that much money?”

Before the young woman could answer him, the wealthy man spoke from behind her.

“Andrea.”

The young woman immediately turned around.

“Yes, Father.”

The wealthy man slowly stood up from the bench.

His face had regained its color, and the panic that had consumed him earlier had completely disappeared.

He reached into the inside pocket of his expensive suit and pulled out a small black card.

The card looked elegant and smooth.

“I already made the transfer,” the man said calmly.

Everyone looked at the card in his hand.

He walked closer to Lucas and held the card up slightly.

“I moved twenty percent of my bitcoin into this Level One Top Tier cryptocurrency card,” he explained. “Everything that belongs to that twenty percent is now stored inside this card.”

He looked directly at Lucas and added, “And now this card belongs to you, prisoner.”

Lucas felt a strange discomfort when he heard that word again.

After a short pause, he spoke quietly.

“My name is Lucas,” he said.

The wealthy man nodded slightly.

“Very well,” he replied. “Then this card belongs to you, Lucas.”

He turned to his daughter and said, “Andrea, give it to him.”

Andrea stepped forward immediately.

Her father placed the black card into her hand, and she walked straight toward Lucas.

Lucas watched her approach with wide eyes.

His mouth slowly fell open as he looked at the small card.

Andrea stopped right in front of him.

She gently lifted Lucas’s hand and placed the card into his palm.

Lucas’s fingers remained frozen.

They did not move.

Andrea smiled slightly and explained, “This card is a Level One Top Tier Crypto Card. It contains five million bitcoin, and you can access it anytime you want.”

Lucas stared at the card in complete silence.

Five million bitcoin.

He could barely breathe.

Seeing that his hand was still stiff, Andrea gently pushed his fingers closed around the card.

“You should hold it properly,” she said with a soft laugh. “It belongs to you now.”

Lucas slowly closed his hand around the card.

The moment felt unreal.

Behind them, one of the tech experts suddenly stepped forward, clearly unable to remain silent any longer.

“Mr. Rogers, this is not reasonable,” the man said nervously. “That amount of money is simply too—”

Before he could finish his sentence, Andrea suddenly turned and slapped him across the face.

Slappp!!!

The sharp sound echoed loudly through the quiet park.

Everyone froze.

The tech expert held his cheek in shock as he stared at her.

Andrea lowered her hand slowly, and the softness on her face disappeared completely.

“How dare you question my father’s decision?” she said coldly.

The man stood there speechless.

“You watched this man recover our entire fortune in less than two minutes,” Andrea continued firmly. “If it were not for him, my father would have lost everything tonight.”

None of the tech experts dared to speak.

Andrea pointed toward their car.

“All of you should get into the car and leave immediately,” she ordered.

The men hesitated.

Andrea’s voice became even colder.

“And let me make something very clear,” she added. “None of you should ever disrespect this man again.”

The three experts quickly lowered their heads and walked away without saying another word.

Within seconds they climbed into their vehicle and drove away.

The park became quiet again.

Only Lucas, Andrea, and the wealthy man remained.

Andrea turned back to Lucas, and the cold expression on her face softened again.

“I owe you an apology,” she said sincerely.

Lucas looked at her but did not speak.

“I judged you earlier because of how you looked,” she continued honestly. “I saw your clothes and assumed that you were just another desperate person trying to take advantage of the situation.”

She lowered her eyes slightly.

“That was wrong,” she admitted.

Lucas remained silent.

Andrea took a small breath before continuing.

“If not for you tonight, my father would have lost everything he worked for in his entire life.”

Lucas looked down at the black card in his hand again.

It suddenly felt very heavy.

Andrea then extended her hand politely.

“My name is Andrea Rogers,” she said with a small smile.

Lucas looked at her hand for a moment before shaking it.

“My name is Lucas Reed,” he replied quietly.

Andrea nodded and then gestured toward the man standing behind her.

“My father is Martin Rogers.”

Lucas looked toward the wealthy man.

Andrea continued speaking calmly.

“My father is currently the richest man in the world.”

Lucas blinked in surprise.

But Andrea was not finished.

“And with the amount of money that now belongs to you,” she added, “you are officially the second richest man in the world.”

Lucas felt his heart stop.

His eyes widened as he stared at her.

“Wait,” he said slowly, trying to understand what he had just heard. “Did you just say that I am the second richest man in the world?”

Andrea nodded with a small smile.

“Yes,” she replied. “That is exactly what I said.”

Lucas shook his head in disbelief.

“That cannot be real.”

Andrea simply smiled again.

At that moment Martin Rogers checked his watch.

“Andrea,” he said calmly, “we are going to be late.”

Andrea nodded.

“Yes, Father.”

She turned back to Lucas.

“I am sorry that we cannot stay longer,” she said politely. “We have a very important meeting to attend tonight.”

Lucas still looked dazed.

“But I am sure we will meet again soon.”

She pointed at the card in his hand.

“You should take good care of that,” she added lightly. “It contains more wealth than most countries.”

Lucas stared at it again.

Andrea then walked toward the luxurious Rolls Royce parked nearby, while Martin Rogers followed behind her.

The driver opened the door for them.

Before entering the car, Andrea turned back and smiled at Lucas one last time.

“Goodbye, Lucas Reed,” she said warmly.

Then she stepped inside the car.

The door closed quietly, and the Rolls Royce drove away smoothly through the rainy street.

Lucas remained standing alone in the park.

For a long time he simply stared at the black card in his hand.

His fingers trembled slightly.

Lucas slowly sat down on the wet bench.

His heart was still pounding heavily in his chest.

After a long moment, he whispered to himself in shock.

“Did she just say that I am the second richest man in the world?”

He looked at the card again, still unable to believe it.

Then he whispered once more, his voice filled with disbelief.

“I… I am the second richest man alive.”
