Max and the students stopped before a large metallic gate embedded into the smooth gray stone of the Base 12 Training Sector.

Without hesitation, Max took out a thin, black card engraved with golden lines and a crest resembling a sword piercing through a book. This was a symbol of the Silent Order Academy.

Beep!

The moment he scanned the card, a soft chime echoed and blue runes lit up on the surface of the gate. With a low humming sound, the massive doors began sliding open, revealing the interior of the Virtual Training Hall.

As the gate opened, a wave of cool air rushed out, and pale white lights flickered on automatically.

Inside, ten sleek Virtual Training Capsules could be seen arranged in two rows of five. Each capsule was silver-white with a faint blue glow along the seams. Their curved, pod-like design resembled futuristic coffins, but far more refined. The tops were transparent and slightly ajar. Behind, a thick tube could be seen connected to a glass container, which was fulled with blue liquid.

Perhaps, this liquid was the power source to operate these Virtual Training Capsules.

Max walked in and gestured at the students behind him.

"Everyone, get inside the capsules. Sync your mental frequency using your identity bracelets and follow the standard procedure. I'll set the difficulty for mid-stage (4th to 6th tier) Grandmaster."

The students responded with quiet nods. This was an opportunity they had fought hard to obtain.

Back on Base 8, there are only five Virtual Training Capsules. Due to such low quantity, it became impossible for everyone to use the Virtual Training Hall. Even if they got the chance, they could only use this facility for an hour or so.

But now, they've nothing to worry about. As long as they are here, they can use this facility as much as they want.

One by one, all the students entered the capsules and lay down inside them.

As each student settled in, Max moved to the control panel beside each pod and tapped on the runic interface. The pods hissed softly and slowly closed shut, sealing the students inside with a dim hum of power.

The moment the seventh capsule closed, the lights inside the hall dimmed slightly.

Whoosh!

A massive, semi-transparent screen materialized midair above the capsules, suspended by arrays of mystic energy.

The screen automatically divided itself into seven equal sections, each section displaying the perspective of one student inside the virtual realm.

One student appeared in a vast grassland, with three phantom warriors in front of him. These phantom warriors were his opponents in this round of training.

Another had entered a collapsing ruin, prepared to avoid traps and engage cursed beasts.

One girl could be seen standing atop a floating island, ready to battle a thunderbird that screeched through the skies.

All students were facing different scenarios.

It was not arranged by Max; instead, these were the scenarios the students had chosen to face themselves.

Max stood before the screen with his arms crossed. A trace of satisfaction flickered across his face.

Meanwhile, hidden in the shadows, Emrys was silently watching everything. His eyes narrowed as he observed the capsules, then the screen. He had seen everything and memorized every step.

'So… this is the Virtual Training Hall; a place where one can experience battles, illusions, and trials that sharpen both the mind and body.’

A smirk slowly tugged at the corner of his lips.

'Interesting. Very interesting.'

After observing for a few minutes, Emrys turned away and made his way to a small wooden hut situated far from the main facilities. This humble hut had been built by his own hands.

Just outside, beneath the shade of a towering tree, a simple wooden chair was placed.

Emrys walked over, settled into the chair, and slowly closed his eyes. Then, he muttered in a low voice, "System, Sign-in."

【Ding! Congratulations to the host for signing in.】

【Reward: 10 years of cultivation!】

Finally!

Emrys, who had just closed his eyes, opened them again, and a smile appeared on his face. After so many days, the system finally rewarded him with cultivation. He just doesn't know how much his strength would increase after fusing with 10 years of cultivation.

Without hesitation, he chose to fuse with the reward.

Shua~

Immediately, he felt a large amount of energy surging inside his body. The energy ran through all his meridians and nerves before going all the way down to a small dwelling located in his lower abdomen.

As far as Emrys knew, in those cultivation novels he had read, this small dwelling was called dantian where a cultivator store their energy. As for what it is called in Duskmoor, he has no idea.

Unfortunately, his strength stopped increasing after he broke through to the fourth tier of War Lord Realm.

"What the..."

"Is that it?"

It has to be known that in just fifteen days, he raised his cultivation from the first tier to the Third tier. Now, 10 years of cultivation only raised his strength by one tier.

Isn't this a scam?

But then, when he thought about all those precious resources he had eaten day and night, he could only sigh.

"My cultivation talent is truly trash."

Emrys had already reached the peak of the third tier. Now, 10 years worth of pure cultivation only helped him break through the barrier between the third-tier and fourth-tier. This also represented his not-so-good cultivation talent.

What had just happened clearly showed that, without relying on the precious resources gained through sign-ins, Emrys would have needed ten whole years of hard cultivation just to reach the Fourth Tier.

"Hey, system. Why don't you give me an unparalleled cultivation talent, physique, or bloodline?"

Unfortunately, he received no answer.

Emrys could only sigh and close his eyes again.

He was not worried though. He knew that sooner or later, he would rise to the rank of those War Sovereigns and War Gods. All he has to do is sit back and sign in.

He also wanted to stay low-key.
