Winny immediately ran after Jonathan, catching up to him in the villa's courtyard. Fortunately, Jonathan hadn't gone far. "Wait!" she shouted, taking a deep breath. The rushed chase made her chest heave, rising and falling like fruit on a tree swaying in the wind.

In her hand was a bank card. She said, "There's 200 million inside. This isn't a reward, it's a thank you for being willing to come here. I also apologize for my father's treatment of you."

Jonathan raised his eyebrows, "I haven't done anything. This is completely unnecessary."

"But—" Winny still wanted to say a few more words, but was immediately cut off by Jonathan.

"If I accept this, it's not charity. It's a transaction," he looked deeply at Winny. "And I don't sell my services if they're not needed. But remember this well, if Tabib Saputro's treatment method continues to be used, your grandfather will most likely not survive today."

"What do you mean?" Winny was stunned by Jonathan's words. She didn't want to believe it, but she had seen with her own eyes that Jonathan had once saved someone from death. If anyone else had said that, she would have scolded them.

"Goodbye." After saying this, Jonathan left the place.

Winny was filled with guilt towards Jonathan, while also plagued by worry about her grandfather's condition.

When she returned to the room, her grandfather had actually regained consciousness. Lius hugged his father while holding back tears.

Lius looked at Tabib Saputro and said softly, "Thank you, Tabib! You truly are the savior deity of our family. I have ordered the servants to prepare a feast for this success."

"This is a blessing from the gods that allowed me to succeed like this. I am grateful for your family, Lius." Tabib Saputro could finally feel relieved after seeing his patient recover. That was the most gratifying thing for a physician.

However, before the food could be served, the old man suddenly jerked. His whole body trembled, his face began to turn blue, his eyes widened, and his breathing stopped.

Everyone present was shocked.

"Father!!" Lius's scream broke the ensuing silence. Then he stared at Tabib Saputro and shouted, "Do something!" His eyes bulged, the earlier hint of happiness instantly shattered.

Tabib Saputro panicked, his hands trembling, the needle in his hand falling onto the marble floor.

Ting! It sounded like a chime of death that made him shiver.

He had exerted all his ability, but the patient's condition had worsened instead. It proved that his previous acupuncture method was mistaken.

"Impossible. This should have worked." His steps slowly retreated, afraid that something bad would happen. Not only would his reputation be destroyed, but he could also die at the hands of Lius.

Winny froze. Then she remembered Jonathan's words from earlier. "Father, Jonathan warned earlier that if Tabib Saputro insists on his method, then Grandfather will die today!"

Lius was startled, and without further thought, he gave an order with a shout. "Find him quickly. Find that young man, by any means necessary. If my father dies, your heads will roll too."

Tabib Saputro held his neck. "If I had known this would threaten a life, I wouldn't have done it. I hope they manage to find that young man," he muttered to himself in distress.

In an instant, many people across Pegasus City began searching for a mysterious young man, causing a great commotion. Since the Caresta family was a very wealthy yet relatively private family, this incident became the focus of attention for many parties.

On the other hand, far from the chaos. The atmosphere at the residence of the second-tier Buana family seemed calm.

In the tidy and elegant study, Roselin Buana sat upright in front of an old man.

"This quarter's performance increased by ten percent, Grandfather!" reported Roselin, her voice full of confidence.

Yorgi Buana looked very satisfied. "You are truly the treasure of this family, Lin."

Roselin was the most talented grandchild. With her help managing the family business, Yorgi's burden was much lighter.

None of Roselin's uncles were reliable, so the future of the Buana family heavily depended on her.

Roselin was very confident. Although still young, she was already a company director and her name was widely known in Pegasus City. Many men queued to pursue her; her life was very glorious.

Not long after, the door to the room was knocked.

Tok!

Tok!

"It's me, Sir."

Yorgi recognized the voice and said, "Come in and tell me what's the matter?" His gaze was sharp like a knife that could stab at any time.

The head servant entered, bowed, and conveyed something that surprised both of them. "Sir, Young Miss, there is someone at the front gate claiming to be the son-in-law of the Buana family and wishes to meet."

Roselin frowned and immediately said, "Head servant, just chase that fool away. I don't even have a boyfriend. How could someone claim such a thing."

But Yorgi stopped the head servant and asked, "What does he look like?"

"He's thin, his clothes are shabby, he looks like a beggar," the head servant answered promptly.

Yorgi asked again, "Did the man mention who sent him?"

The head servant nodded, then explained, "Yes, Sir. He said his master ordered him to come down from the mountain to fulfill a betrothal promise and marry the daughter of the Buana family."

Hearing that, Yorgi sighed and said, "So he really came…"

Roselin raised her eyebrows again, "Who are you referring to, Grandfather?"

"You don't know, because you were very young then. The Buana family was once in difficulty, leading to bankruptcy. But a mysterious expert helped us survive. As a form of repayment, I betrothed you to his disciple."

But Roselin herself didn't care. "Grandpa, in this day and age, who still cares about childhood betrothals? Besides, there are many men pursuing me, so it's impossible for me to want to marry a stranger."

But Yorgi's perspective was different. He knew that the man who came was the disciple of the person who had once saved their family, and because of that, this betrothal couldn't be casually canceled.

Finally, the two of them went to the front gate and saw Jonathan, who had been waiting for a long time, carrying some local specialties from the mountain.

"Greetings," said Jonathan with a slight bow. "My name is Jonathan Winaldy. I have come to fulfill the betrothal agreement."

Roselin was shocked to see Jonathan's shabby and poor appearance.

Unlike Roselin, Yorgi directly welcomed him warmly, "You've grown up, I see." He smiled, then shifted the conversation. "How is your Master?"

"The Master is fine, still alive and still stingy," Jonathan answered lightly.

Roselin couldn't hold back, turning her face away in disgust. She spoke in a scornful tone, "Don't tell me I really have to marry a creature like this."

The atmosphere immediately fell silent.

"Shabby, poor, can't even dress properly. This is worse than a scavenger! I'd rather die than marry him."

Yorgi immediately scolded his granddaughter, "Roselin, watch your words!"

"Why should I?!" Roselin retorted sharply, "I am the CEO of a large company, I graduated from the best university! There are dozens of men from wealthy families pursuing me! And you want me to marry this mountain trash?" Roselin was furious, her face flushed red.

Jonathan looked at her, not offended, just silent. Then he smiled.

"In that case, may I know the price of the Buana family's honor? Because what you're insulting isn't just me, but the promise made by your own grandfather."

Yorgi immediately spoke, "Calm down, Jonathan. We don't intend to insult. But, perhaps it is indeed time to discuss the betrothal again."

"Oh," Jonathan folded his hands, laughed coldly, then asked: "What does the Buana family mean? Want to cancel the agreement?"

Yorgi raised his chin with an arrogant tone, then took a step forward, his voice calm yet piercing. "The Buana family now is not what it used to be. We are a major family with a high status in Pegasus City. Canceling a betrothal is not a crime. I still respect you for your master's past services. But if you don't know your place..."

Roselin's answer didn't entirely convince him, but it was enough to slightly soothe the simmering frustration in his chest.Roselin's eyes landed on Amelia, who was sitting beside Jonathan. The girl was laughing softly, looking comfortable. Jonathan even calmly reached for a napkin and casually wiped the corner of Amelia's mouth; the movement looked so natural and gentle. As if the two were already accustomed to such closeness. For some reason, Roselin immediately felt a surge of heat rise in her chest. Her eyes narrowed. "Since when are they that close?" she muttered angrily. She still didn't understand why a man like Jonathan could make a girl as graceful as Amelia feel so at ease. Her heart couldn't accept it. "Jonathan!"The voice, full of rage, exploded from Yorgi's mouth. He stepped quickly, grabbing Jonathan's arm as he tried to leave. "Just who do you think you are, huh? Just because you have a little skill and managed to save Old Master Caresta, you think you're so great now?"Yorgi's eyes blazed with the fire of wounded pride. Behind him, Roselin stood with a contemptuous expression, arms folded across her chest."At best, you were probably just given a few coins as a thank you," Yorgi sneered. "You think with that you can challenge the Buana Family? You're not even worthy of being called our opponent!"Jonathan merely looked at Yorgi emotionlessly, his gaze flat yet piercing. Before he could respond, Roselin's voice quickly followed. "You heard him, didn't you?" she said sharply. "Next time you show up in the same place as me, I won't let you off as easily as today."Roselin's face hinted at a determination to humiliate Jonathan given a second chance. However, instead of being intim

Consider it a gift from me!""No, Brother. I still have the necklace from Grandma."Jonathan could only smile, impressed by Amelia's steadfastness. "Alright. But if you change your mind later, just say the word."After circling part of the exhibition room, Jonathan and Amelia paused in front of a white vase with a finely painted blue dragon. But before they could examine it further, a soft voice called out."Amelia!"Amelia turned quickly, her face immediately lighting up. "Melani!"From the opposite direction, Melani arrived with James and a few other friends. Amelia immediately hugged her best friend. Even though they had just gone through a heavy ordeal at the Holiday Club, a reunion like this felt soothing."You could come too?" Amelia asked, her eyes sparkling.Melani nodded, smiling happily

After the minor incident at the hotel entrance, Jonathan's name was finally found on the VIP guest list. Even one of the security supervisors who arrived later bowed respectfully and ushered them in without another word. The guards who had looked down on them earlier could only bow their heads in silence, ashamed of their previous attitude.Upon arriving in the main hall, Jonathan turned and asked Amelia, "Are you tired? Do you want to rest?"Amelia quickly shook her head, her eyes shining. "Not at all, Brother. Actually, I really want to look around this place. I never even imagined I could come to a place this luxurious."Jonathan gently patted the top of his beloved sister's head and smiled. "Good. You should get used to it. Sooner or later, environments like this will be where you stand."Amelia didn't understand why Jonathan said that. "What do you mean, Brother?"But Jonathan just winked slowly, offering no answer. He stepped forward first, letting the question hang in the air.

"Excuse me, Grandpa, could I take a look at that Blue and White bowl for a moment?"The old man's steps halted. He turned, his wrinkled eyes looking at Jonathan with curiosity and caution. He weighed the bowl in his hands for a moment, then slowly stepped closer. "Do you want to buy it, Son?" he asked, his voice heavy yet sincere. "If so, I must tell you first, the price is non-negotiable."Jonathan smiled warmly. "I just want to take a closer look. If it's as good as I think it is."Jonathan examined it more closely, and with his appraisal skills, he immediately said, "I'll pay 6 Million for it. How about that?"The old man's eyes widened. He took half a step back, as if he couldn't believe his ears. "S-six million?" he stammered. "Son, I'm just a villager. Just because I'm old and don't know the market price, don't try to trick me like this.""No, Grandpa!" Jonathan smiled broa

Jonathan didn't laugh. He just shrugged and said calmly, "The antique world is harsh. Some are willing to deceive, others are willing to be deceived. But the biggest loser is the one who doesn't learn from their own foolishness."The shop owner felt deeply bitter, remembering that his family had been in the antique business for generations, yet in his own generation, he had been completely swindled. The more he thought about it, the more miserable he felt.Meanwhile, the old man had already boarded a bus, shaking his head and muttering to himself, "City life is full of deceit. I want to go back to the village. There, the worst I'll get cheated on is the price of chilies."On the other side.Amelia glanced back and felt a bit sorry for the shop owner. "I feel a little sorry for him, Bro. He looks like he's just been slapped in the face by reality."But Jonathan only gave a faint smile, his expression calm. "That's not pity, Mel. That's called Karma. He's been selling fake items to peop
