Yorgi Buana sat down, picked up the tea that had just been brought by the head servant, and took a sip before fixing his gaze on Jonathan, who remained standing upright before him.

In a tone that suggested he was bestowing charity, he said, "If you really need money, just name your price. How much to cancel this agreement? Five million? Ten million? I am generous enough to settle this amicably." Though his words were sweet, his heart harbored cunning.

Jonathan stared back sharply, "I came here on my master's orders, not because I'm desperate for money."

"Oh, of course," Yorgi sneered, slowly setting down his teacup. "But you show up here looking like this. Ragged clothes, a face covered in dust, demanding the fulfillment of a marriage promise like a beggar asking for alms. You're actually quite greedy!"

Roselin looked at Jonathan with disgust, folding her arms across her chest to display her arrogance. "Your education is probably on par with a street sweeper's. Just who do you think you are? Merely the disciple of some mysterious old man. This modern world is no place for ridiculous mountain legends like you."

Jonathan took a deep breath, "You're right, I am nobody. But I know you—the Buana family, who were saved by someone, then forgot your promise as easily as flipping your hand. You will regret this later."

Yorgi narrowed his eyes, restraining himself from immediately striking this insolent young man. "Watch your tongue, Jonathan. Our willingness to pay and terminate the agreement is already a form of respect. But if you keep talking like this..."

"If I keep talking like this, what?" Jonathan interjected, his voice calm, cold, yet sharp. "You pretend to be a respectable family, but you're nothing more than an ungrateful, greedy clan that forgets its debts."

Roselin laughed mockingly, her voice high and loud. "Hah! Even given three hundred years, you'd still be a loser. Look at yourself! Here in Pegasus City, the men pursuing me queue up in sports cars. And you come here in worn-out sandals and a woven mountain bag. Jonathan, face it, you are utterly unworthy of proposing to me."

This time, Yorgi said nothing to stop Roselin; he merely stared flatly at Jonathan, as if indicating his agreement with his granddaughter's words.

Lately, a young master from a first-tier family had indeed been pursuing Roselin. If successful, the Buana family's status could rise, so they clearly looked down on Jonathan.

Jonathan looked at each of them in turn, then sighed. From his pocket, he pulled out the scroll of the betrothal letter.

"Fine," he said curtly.

In one swift motion, Jonathan tore the marriage agreement in two. The sound of tearing paper echoed loudly in the silence.

"For a family that forgets kindness and shows no gratitude like this, it's better that I never have any connection at all."

After that, he threw the torn pieces of the marriage document onto the ground in front of them.

Roselin stared wide-eyed, "How dare you throw it here?"

"I have no need for a relationship built on contempt," he said, immediately turning his back to leave.

As he was about to leave, he was instead blocked by Roselin's shout, "Wait!"

Jonathan stopped, turning his head slightly.

"Pick that paper up!" Roselin pointed at the floor. "Who do you think you are, casually discarding a document made by my grandfather?"

Jonathan smirked, "I may not know the price of that paper, but my Master's honor is more valuable than all your wealth."

"Pick it up right now, or you won't be able to leave here!" Roselin shouted, her eyes blazing with anger. "You think you can insult the Buana family so casually and then leave like some hero?!"

Jonathan narrowed his eyes, "You will see, the Buana family you're so proud of will fall, in front of everyone. And you will understand when your pride is shattered—not by anyone else, but by your own foolishness."

Roselin raised her hand, her anger having peaked. "Guards, beat him! Teach him who holds the power here."

Yorgi simply sat calmly, pretending not to see and raising his teacup again, as if enjoying a show.

Jonathan let out a long sigh, "I've tried to be polite."

The first guard moved, almost touching Jonathan. Jonathan's eyes narrowed. However, before he could even make a move.

Jonathan simply looked at the old man and smiled. "I agree, you certainly know your fine goods."The old man nodded in satisfaction.Jeremy was dumbfounded. "What is this?" Jeremy was suspicious; he couldn't just stand by. "This must be a setup! You're colluding to scam the auction house. There's no way that shabby chamber pot is worth two billion."The old man frowned, then turned and fixed his gaze on Jeremy. "This transaction is between me and this young man. What business is it of yours? Besides, this chamber pot is genuine, and a price of 2 billion is not excessive."Jeremy stammered in response. "I just... I just don't want this Auction House to be fooled!"Roselin also felt this was just a cheap act and began to mock them. "He's right! And who are you anyway? Don't tell me you're a paid actor?""My name is Anderson Tju. I am Master Anderson. And as it happens, I arrived early because I wanted to look for inspiration."Master Anderson was a renowned antique expert.A bodyguard b

Jeremy Bongso sat slumped in the leather chair, still nursing the pain in his ribs. Though it was only one blow, his pride felt utterly shattered. But he didn't dare act recklessly. Not without his bodyguards. Not after seeing the almost emotionless look in Jonathan's eyes. He's really not an ordinary person, Jeremy thought to himself, but his face remained cold, hiding his fear with arrogance. Later, outside, you will feel my revenge. For now, he chose not to act, as it could backfire on him. After nearly twenty minutes, the appraisal staff member returned. With an unfriendly face and a curt tone, he said, "I told you so. This item is fake. It's not worthy of being included in our auction house catalog."Jonathan was skeptical; he knew it was a valuable antique. He looked at the man calmly. "Did the staff member truly examine it properly?"The staff member tensed up, feeling doubted. He was clearly offended. "Are you questioning our professionalism?" he said angrily, slapping the app

"Jonathan! Have you truly gone insane from being so poor?" Roselin looked at Jonathan with disgust and scornful laughter. "If you really need money, just say so. I still have a little pity, as long as you know your place."Jeremy laughed loudly while folding his arms across his chest. "If you're really that desperate for money, just tell me! I can give you Five Million. Consider it charity, since I've taken your ex-fiancée off your hands."Roselin turned quickly, her expression shifting slightly. Jeremy's words were indeed too vulgar. Even though she no longer respected Jonathan, she had still almost been engaged to him. However, because of Jeremy's powerful background as the heir to the Bongso family, she didn't dare contradict him. Instead, she forced an awkward smile. His remarks drew sneering smiles from some of the VIP guests.Jonathan stood calmly, his sharp eyes locking onto Jeremy. "I suggest you stop talking before you regret it."Jeremy smirked. "Please, someone call the men

The vendor, who had just finished counting the money with great drama, stared at him. "Are you crazy, wanting to auction a chamber pot you bought for six hundred thousand?" he muttered, still standing there scratching his head that wasn't itchy. "If anyone buys that chamber pot for over a million, I'll kowtow right here in this market."Even as he said this, he wasn't truly cruel. With a mix of pity and amusement, he still told Jonathan the location of the antique market. "Head south. Just look for the old building near the river, it's called the Siluman Market.""Be careful. There are lots of scammers there too," he said as Jonathan started to walk away. "If you go there carrying a funny item like that, you might not just get laughed at, but thrown out by force."Jonathan glanced back slightly, a faint smile on his lips. "You're wrong! This chamber pot can make the entire auction house stand up in awe."The vendor could only watch Jonathan's back as he slowly disappeared, then let ou

The sunlight gently bathed the People's Village, as if welcoming a new beginning.Jonathan was dressed in simple, yet clean and neat clothes. Beside him, Amelia walked with light steps, wearing her gray-and-white school uniform. Her hair was tied in two ponytails, and her cheerful face was full of spirit.Along the road to school, several neighbors greeted them. Some said good morning warmly, while others just observed quietly, whispering."Is that Amelia? She's so beautiful. But who's the guy next to her?""I heard they live together. But could they be dating?"Amelia heard the whispers but paid no mind. In fact, she looked even more cheerful. When they reached the school gate, she turned to Jonathan and spoke with a sweet smile."Brother Jonathan, pick me up later, okay? At three o'clock, don't forget!"Jonathan nodded, "Don't worry, I won't forget."Amelia lowered her head shyly, then ran into the schoolyard. Behind her
