Vrooom!

Vroom!

The sound of car exhausts roared loudly from a distance, making everyone turn their heads.

Over a dozen black cars stopped simultaneously in the courtyard of the Buana family residence.

A middle-aged man got out, leading dozens of men dressed in black.

Seeing his arrival, Yorgi hurriedly stood up and greeted him respectfully, "M-Mr. Caresta."

Yorgi immediately bowed with a tense face. He could hardly believe that one of the most powerful family heads in Pegasus City had come to his home unannounced.

But Lius Caresta ignored him completely; his gaze was focused solely on one person. Namely, Jonathan.

Lius's steps were quick and decisive as he approached the young man who had just been thoroughly insulted by Yorgi's own granddaughter.

"Mr. Jonathan, please forgive my family's rudeness earlier," Lius said with a sincere tone, even bowing his body. "I know I am not worthy to ask. But please, save my father. You are our only hope."

Everyone from the Buana family present froze. The guard who had been about to attack Jonathan shrank back, full of fear.

Roselin saw it with her own eyes and stared in disbelief; it was as if she had been struck by lightning, her eyes wide and her mouth hanging open soundlessly.

The man who had just been insulted as a loser was actually being respected by Lius Caresta himself?!

Jonathan didn't utter a single word in reply. He only glanced at Yorgi and Roselin for a moment with a cold gaze. Then he stepped forward and walked towards the Caresta family's luxury car.

Even though he was leaving, the humiliation he had received today at the Buana family home would not be let go so easily.

Yorgi was utterly terrified watching Jonathan get into the Caresta family's car.

Lius was the most powerful figure in Pegasus City, and Jonathan was capable of making the head of the Caresta family come personally to pick him up—he was clearly not someone to be underestimated.

After recalling everything that had happened today, Yorgi suddenly realized that a great disaster was about to befall their family.

Smack!

A hard slap landed on Roselin's face.

Roselin was sent stumbling sideways. Her eyes were watery, holding back the sting and anger. "Grandfather, what is the meaning of this? Why did you slap me?"

Yorgi pointed a trembling finger at his granddaughter's face. "Fool! Our family has lost a golden opportunity."

"Why slap me just because of that mountain trash? Just who is he anyway?" Roselin held her burning cheek. "The Caresta family's company is big, but we don't need to make such a fuss, right?"

"Silence!" Yorgi roared, his face flushed red. "You know nothing! The Caresta family isn't just a company. Behind their apparent simplicity, they possess political power, economic networks, and influence that even the number one company wouldn't dare touch."

"And if Jonathan can make Lius come personally to fetch him, then he is not someone to be trifled with."

Roselin swallowed, her voice beginning to tremble. "But he's poor, shabby, and lowly."

Yorgi pressed on his chest, which felt tight; his face also began to pale. If Roselin had been willing to marry Jonathan earlier, their family could have used that connection to gain power in Pegasus City. But now, it was all too late.

"The Buana family has truly made an enemy of the wrong person!"

On the other hand, Jonathan, now at the Caresta family residence, was served expensive tea and treated with utmost respect. But his expression remained flat.

Lius sat opposite him, bowing slightly. "Mr. Jonathan. I would like to know, how did you know the acupuncture method applied by Tabib Saputro was wrong? What made you so sure from the very beginning?"

Jonathan looked at him. "I have studied so many Traditional Medicine techniques that I was absolutely certain it was wrong."

"Then, why were you so sure I could cure him?" Jonathan finally asked this question.

Lius answered, "I-It was on Tabib Saputro's recommendation."

At that moment, Tabib Saputro entered the room, his face full of regret and shame. "I was the one who told Mr. Lius to find you. I almost killed his patient. It seems my family's inherited Seven Stars technique really is flawed."

Jonathan looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Your Seven Stars technique isn't flawed. It's just that your insertion at the Renying point was too deep. The energy didn't disperse evenly and instead blocked the heart meridian. I told you earlier, a single error in insertion can render all efforts useless."

Tabib Saputro nodded deeply. "I deserve the scorn; the title of Divine Physician should be revoked. I was too overconfident and refused to listen to your warning. I deeply regret it."

Jonathan didn't respond; his eyes were drawn to the opening door. Winny ran in, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Mr. Jonathan, my grandfather... Please, he's dying."

Roselin turned her head, arms folded across her chest, a sneer etched on her face. "That was just a fluke, Grandpa. It was just a coincidence that he managed to please Master Anderson before. But his real ability? Huh, absolutely zero."Yorgi nodded slowly. Roselin's answer didn't entirely convince him, but it was enough to slightly soothe the simmering frustration in his chest.Roselin's eyes landed on Amelia, who was sitting beside Jonathan. The girl was laughing softly, looking comfortable. Jonathan even calmly reached for a napkin and casually wiped the corner of Amelia's mouth; the movement looked so natural and gentle. As if the two were already accustomed to such closeness. For some reason, Roselin immediately felt a surge of heat rise in her chest. Her eyes narrowed. "Since when are they that close?" she muttered angrily. She still didn't understand why a man like Jonathan could make a girl as graceful as Amelia feel so at ease. Her heart couldn't accept it. Even though she he

"Jonathan!"The voice, full of rage, exploded from Yorgi's mouth. He stepped quickly, grabbing Jonathan's arm as he tried to leave. "Just who do you think you are, huh? Just because you have a little skill and managed to save Old Master Caresta, you think you're so great now?"Yorgi's eyes blazed with the fire of wounded pride. Behind him, Roselin stood with a contemptuous expression, arms folded across her chest."At best, you were probably just given a few coins as a thank you," Yorgi sneered. "You think with that you can challenge the Buana Family? You're not even worthy of being called our opponent!"Jonathan merely looked at Yorgi emotionlessly, his gaze flat yet piercing. Before he could respond, Roselin's voice quickly followed. "You heard him, didn't you?" she said sharply. "Next time you show up in the same place as me, I won't let you off as easily as today."Roselin's face hinted at a determination to humiliate Jonathan given a second chance. However, instead of being intim

Amelia immediately shook her head quickly and raised her hands. "Everything here must be so expensive, I don't want it. I just want to look.""If your brother says it's okay, why be hesitant? Consider it a gift from me!""No, Brother. I still have the necklace from Grandma."Jonathan could only smile, impressed by Amelia's steadfastness. "Alright. But if you change your mind later, just say the word."After circling part of the exhibition room, Jonathan and Amelia paused in front of a white vase with a finely painted blue dragon. But before they could examine it further, a soft voice called out."Amelia!"Amelia turned quickly, her face immediately lighting up. "Melani!"From the opposite direction, Melani arrived with James and a few other friends. Amelia immediately hugged her best friend. Even though they had just gone through a heavy ordeal at the Holiday Club, a reunion like this felt soothing."You could come too?" Amelia asked, her eyes sparkling.Melani nodded, smiling happily

After the minor incident at the hotel entrance, Jonathan's name was finally found on the VIP guest list. Even one of the security supervisors who arrived later bowed respectfully and ushered them in without another word. The guards who had looked down on them earlier could only bow their heads in silence, ashamed of their previous attitude.Upon arriving in the main hall, Jonathan turned and asked Amelia, "Are you tired? Do you want to rest?"Amelia quickly shook her head, her eyes shining. "Not at all, Brother. Actually, I really want to look around this place. I never even imagined I could come to a place this luxurious."Jonathan gently patted the top of his beloved sister's head and smiled. "Good. You should get used to it. Sooner or later, environments like this will be where you stand."Amelia didn't understand why Jonathan said that. "What do you mean, Brother?"But Jonathan just winked slowly, offering no answer. He stepped forward first, letting the question hang in the air.

"Excuse me, Grandpa, could I take a look at that Blue and White bowl for a moment?"The old man's steps halted. He turned, his wrinkled eyes looking at Jonathan with curiosity and caution. He weighed the bowl in his hands for a moment, then slowly stepped closer. "Do you want to buy it, Son?" he asked, his voice heavy yet sincere. "If so, I must tell you first, the price is non-negotiable."Jonathan smiled warmly. "I just want to take a closer look. If it's as good as I think it is."Jonathan examined it more closely, and with his appraisal skills, he immediately said, "I'll pay 6 Million for it. How about that?"The old man's eyes widened. He took half a step back, as if he couldn't believe his ears. "S-six million?" he stammered. "Son, I'm just a villager. Just because I'm old and don't know the market price, don't try to trick me like this.""No, Grandpa!" Jonathan smiled broa

Jonathan didn't laugh. He just shrugged and said calmly, "The antique world is harsh. Some are willing to deceive, others are willing to be deceived. But the biggest loser is the one who doesn't learn from their own foolishness."The shop owner felt deeply bitter, remembering that his family had been in the antique business for generations, yet in his own generation, he had been completely swindled. The more he thought about it, the more miserable he felt.Meanwhile, the old man had already boarded a bus, shaking his head and muttering to himself, "City life is full of deceit. I want to go back to the village. There, the worst I'll get cheated on is the price of chilies."On the other side.Amelia glanced back and felt a bit sorry for the shop owner. "I feel a little sorry for him, Bro. He looks like he's just been slapped in the face by reality."But Jonathan only gave a faint smile, his expression calm. "That's not pity, Mel. That's called Karma. He's been selling fake items to peop
