Clover shook his head to get out of his dazed state, then he looked towards Arya, who avoided meeting his eyes due to guilt. Speechless, Clover could only stand up from the ground before making his way back to his original position.

Seeing as her big brother was making his way towards her with an expressionless look on his face, Arya started to panic.

Taking a few steps back before stopping, Arya tried to muster up her courage as she said to Clover.

"What do you think you're doing, big brother? Are you going to hit me?" Arya's voice trembled as she asked this, but Clover did not answer. Instead, he continued walking silently towards her.

Now, Arya had a trace of fear in her heart and she was reminded that although her big brother was very caring and doted on her and Verna a lot, he could be unreasonably strict at times.

Remembering those times, Arya tried to stand her ground.

"Don't go too far, big brother. You can't hit me because of this, it was only an accident. And besides, you did not get hurt so there's no need to take it so seriously."

Clover still did not answer Arya. In fact, he even raised his hands, reaching for her head as he got closer to Arya. Seeing clover's hand making its way towards her as if he was really going to hit her, Arya stood rooted on the spot in fear and terror. There was an imposing aura that surrounded Clover, making him seem bigger and more terrifying than he really was.

Even Verna, who was the one that always came forward to mediate between her siblings when they were having a row, could not bring herself to step forward this time. The two of them really thought that Clover was angry and was about to get physical with them, like how he used to when they misbehaved and disobeyed him as he raised them.

It was like a lifetime had passed in those short few seconds.

For Immortals like Clover and his sisters who had such long lives, their concept of time was a bit different. Most of the time, a few years could feel like only days to Arya and Verna, and sometimes even a few minutes could make them feel as if a lifetime had already gone by. This was how it was for Arya and Verna as they waited for Clover's hands to land heavily on them.

But just when they were expecting to feel pain landing on them as well as hear the resounding slap of Clover's hands landing on them, Arya only felt a soft and warm feeling on her head from where Clover placed his hand.

Opening her tightly shut eyes and looking up at clover, Arya could a warm smile on clover's face as he looked down on her with love in his eyes.

Right now, the imposing aura that had surrounded Clover as he was making his way to Arya was no longer there, and instead, there was a bright halo of love and warmth that melted the fear in Arya's heart and softened her body, filling her whole being with the love of her brother.

Even Verna, who was a little distance away, was feeling what Arya was feeling...

The twin sisters from birth had been born with a unique innate trait that connected them together, making them feel exactly what the other was feeling.

With this innate trait, Arya and Verna could feel each other's existence, no matter how far away from each other they were. At the same time, they were able to know what the other twin was going through and feeling as well as know their innermost thoughts.

This was the closest relationship that anybody could ever possess, and the twins had grown up in this way. Although some people may find it a burden to have another consciousness that was constantly connected to you and feeling everything you did, Arya and Verna did not feel this way about this trait and they rather quite enjoyed knowing that they would never be alone.

Right now, with this innate trait between them, it allowed both Arya and Verna to feel Clover's love for them.

Looking down at his lovely sister, Clover said to Arya gently, "You should be more careful in controlling your strength next time you hear me. You could have injured yourself. Look, your palms are already bruised after hitting me with so much force."

"I'm sorry for hurting you with this body of mine. If I had known you were going to hit me, I would have lowered my defense so that you wouldn't have to suffer like this. You don't have to worry. Next time, whenever I am with you two, I will always make sure to disperse my powers so that you can be comfortable hitting me whenever."

Hearing Clover's words, Arya suddenly felt a choking feeling in her chest. She, like a ball of emotion, was building inside her that she wanted to let out but didn't dare to. Verna, who was by the side, was also feeling the same.

Trying very hard to suppress the sudden rush of emotions, Arya and Verna could feel their eyes start to water as tears built up, threatening to break out in a flood.

It was said that the tears of an Immortal were like the dew of the stars and that they could heal all the wounds of a mortal and bring a sinless child who was on the brink of death to life.

Right now, Arya and Verna's eyes, which shone like stars, glistened with sparkling midnight dew.

Pulling his sisters to his side, Clover lightly brushed his fingers across their eyes and removed the offending moisture that threatened to ruin their pretty faces.

Clover then said, "You girls shouldn't be crying, as it will make your face puffy. Then you really wouldn't be able to get married in the future and you'll have to stay with me forever."

At these words, Arya and Verna suddenly snorted uncontrollably as they tried to suppress the laugh that had unexpectedly assaulted them.

Raising their head to look at Clover with grievance, the twins immediately complained, "Arrgh... big brother is still bullying us. Baddie! Meanie!"

"Hahaha!!!" Clover laughed out loud in happiness and delight.

He really enjoyed teasing his little sisters very much.

At this moment, Arya suddenly said to Clover haughtily, "Big brother is a bad man and I won't believe a single word he says. As for you saying you would disperse your power so that I could hit you better. Who asked you to do that?"

"Listen, you'd better not think of doing that whenever I am around. In fact, I want to make your defense even stronger so that I can beat you up mercilessly. When I am finally able to break through big brother's defense, then it means that I am stronger than big brother and then you will have to listen to everything I tell you. Is that clear?"

Nodding his head happily, Clover agreed.

"Indeed, I have heard your command and I accept your challenge. Let's see how long it will take you to grow stronger than me."

Humph!

Arya snorted, but she did not say anything else. In her heart, Arya was feeling very sweet inside. She knew that this was how her big brother was.

It was her big brother Clover that had taken care of her and her sister Verna, who had raised them single-handedly when their parents had died when they were little. It was her big brother, Clover, who had protected them and taught them everything they knew, and he would never let anything bad happen to them.

Even now, when Arya had accidentally hurt him, even though Clover had not been hurt, instead of being angry at her, her big brother Clover had instead been worried that Arya had hurt herself from hitting him. That was just how her big brother was, and it was the reason why Arya and Verna loved him so much.

As Arya and Verna were reflecting on their feelings for their big brother, Clover finally stopped laughing and finally looked at his twin sisters.

Clover asked, "Okay then, now that everything has been settled, are you finally going to tell me the reason you were looking for me? I'm sure it wasn't simply because you wanted me to come and eat, was it? If that was all, you would have left my meal out for me to eat later when I woke up on my own. You've never disturbed me before, just for something like this tell me, what is the matter."

Suddenly remembering their reason for coming to find clover, Arya and Verna's faces suddenly became solemn. Their smiles vanished, and they said to clover seriously.

"Big brother Clover, the reason we were looking for you is that the elders of the clan have passed down a summon for you to meet them at the lighthouse. They want you to get there as soon as possible."

Hearing this, Clover's face became grave...

As soon as he had seen the solemn looks on Arya's and Verna's faces, Clover had known that something was not right and indeed, he had been correct. But he had not expected it to be as serious as this.

The situation turned out to be more serious than he imagined.

Right now, the worst thing that Clover could have ever expected to hear was that he was being summoned to the lighthouse. That is because it meant that it was finally time for him to pay for his crimes!

Things like this are a common occurrence in this space station. The inhabitants here are a rowdy bunch and they like to cause trouble.""Most likely, it is some ignorant newcomer who doesn't understand the ways of the station that is being harassed right now. Serves him right!""You don't have to be surprised, my lord. Probably you will stumble across two or three such scenes like this. It might se

Past the docking bay, there was a common area. After going through a few corridors and taking a lift to the upper level of the station, one would arrive at the common area. Here, this was where most of the residents of the space station conducted most of their activities. The Houndclaw space station, as dilapidated as it looked, was still a proper space station. The size of the space station was about the same as Earth's moon. The overall structure of the space station was in the form of a rhombus-shaped brick. There were four places from which one can enter the station depending on the direction one came from. Each of these docking areas had access to an identical common area and from there, one could explore the space station. There were multiple facilities that catered to different needs in the station and, depending on what they were in need of, it was possible to get it.Following Ktulu as he led the way, Clover observed his surroundings. There was nothing much to say about it. T

  • Arriving At The Houndclaw Space Station 2

There was a line outside the Houndclaw space station, where a simple check was being conducted. Every ship that wanted to enter the station would have to go through the check before being permitted to do so.But like was said, the check was simple, and it was mainly to register the ships that were docking in the station.Unlike other space stations that were very strict, the Houndclaw space station was quite lax in its management. This was because the main population of those that resided in the station was made up of outlaws, pirates, and fugitives of the law.The good thing about this is that there was a minimum guarantee of secrecy when business was being conducted at the station. But as a consequence, the security in the station was terrible.Clover was not concerned with all these factors. He was rather satisfied with the place. Due to how lax the security was in this place, it made it easy for Clover to avoid his pursuers and lie low while attempting to fix his ship. With this s

The process of absorbing the life force from the obelisk was very fast. Over time, the feeling of his life order increasing that brought so much pleasure to Clover gradually faded, and the look of pleasure on Clover's face eventually eased. Very soon, Clover let out a breath as everything ended and he quickly composed himself once more. As Clover opened his eyes, there was a dazed look on his face as he recalled the feeling he had just experienced. It wasn't the first time Clover was absorbing life force, but every time he did it; it was still as intense as ever. Clover thought by now he would already be used to it, but that wasn't the case. Every experience was more intoxicating than the last, and the feelings that came with the process sought to overwhelm Clover's will. This feeling was very addicting. Some times, Clover felt like every time he absorbed a bit of life force from the obelisk, a part of him felt lost like something was missing. This feeling came from Clover's body an

Clover looked inside him at the obelisk fragment in the white space. The fragment of the obelisk was irregularity shaped without any well-defined dimensions. It was like a block of twisted metal and it could not look any more ugly. Anybody that saw this object would never have thought that it was a fragment of the legendary artifact, the obelisk.Right now, the fragment revolved on its own axis while giving off a dull resplendent glow as it floated while suspended in the air. Looking at it, the fragment could not look any less remarkable. The only thing that stood out about the fragment was the faint mysterious air that surrounded it.After looking at the fragment for a moment, Clover quickly turned his gaze away.
