Chapter 6: Danger!

Eliot watched everything transpire.

They more they ventured into this water and the calmer it became, the more suspicious he became which made him observe his surroundings more carefully.

He was the first to notice the presence of the predator.

He noticed the hole in the seabed that was covered with green leaves first and he instantly became suspicious but before he could react, he saw movement.

“HISSS…!”

The shrill hiss revealed its identity.

Chief was at the front of this school but like a veteran kung fu master, he reacted first than any of the other Salmon as he dodged and swam away instantly.

He swam away before he screamed for the others to run.

The others were not so fast like him.

CRUNCH!

One bite was all it took for it’s venom to be injected and instantly that brother became paralyzed, with one gulp this snake swallowed its prey.

Despite swallowing one Salmon already, its body size showed no change.

Its predatory eyes darted about in search of the next prey.

Bam!

It’s speed as it darted across the water was like that of a bullet being shot out of a magnum’s muzzle as it met up with and bit another Salmon immediately.

This guy was also immobilized immediately.

“…” Eliot was horrified by what he was seeing.

As he watched in horror even as the Salmon fish scattered like sheep without shepherd to escape for their lives, the system interface lit up again.

“Run…!” All the fish screamed as they swam haphazardly in panic.

By now, this sea snake was already done swallowing the 2^nd prey that fell victim to its venom as its eyed darted about, casually deciding on the next victim.

Bam!

It dashed out again with immense speed.

Another prey was immobilized.

“Bonkers!”

“Bonkers! Run…!”

Panic filled the water.

The tension got to Eliot as his blood pressure increased exponentially but it was still nowhere near the tension of Professor Gagam’s impromptu exams.

In this tense moment, Eliot’s discipline that was trained through years kicked in again as his brain calmed down amid all the tension, gearing into overdrive as he started processing information at a speed faster than normal.

He looked around at all the Salmon fish swimming haphazardly in panic, they were easy prey for the predatory sea snake this way.

Only chief swam in a clever manner and was already out of sight.

If it continued this way and the sea snake’s appetite was large, a lot of these Salmon would die. Heck, there was a chance of extinction.

A phrase entered his mind. ‘All fish must die someday!’

“F*ck! That f*cking chief!” He cursed.

By now, Eliot already analyzed and found a solution. Swimming haphazardly like the others was a sure way to die.

He already found a small hole on the ground that could fit like 3 Salmons, hiding there was the best option to survive this dangerous encounter.

He looked out for the only fish in his concerns.

“Brother! This way!”

Brother was already consumed by panic. “Bonkers! Run…!”

This fish swam haphazardly like the others, Eliot was instantly annoyed.

Whoosh!

His 3 days of training and adaptation were not in vain.

In an instant, Eliot’s tail fin hit the water as he accelerated towards his panicking brother. If words would not do it, pain would definitely do it.

Crunch!

His rows of teeth sunk into brother’s flesh.

“Bonkers! I’ve been caught…, I’m dying!”

“You’re not dying fool!” Eliot roared at him.

“Follow me!”

The pain and the roar finally brought brother back to his senses.

He was confused for a moment, Eliot no longer looked like that foolish and incompetent Eliot at this moment.

At this moment, he felt that following Eliot would guarantee his life and brother trusted his instincts, he did not hesitate.

He swam after Eliot as in an instant, they both hid inside the hole and following Eliot’s lead, they ruffled the sand a bit as they became covered in dirt.

From the hole and all the dirt, only their eyes shone.

“HISSS…!”

The sea snake kept on going on a rampage.

CRUNCH!

He swallowed his 5^th victim.

Safe in the hole now, brother could now see what his brothers were going through from a third person perspective and he felt a pang of pain in his heart.

“Brothers…,” He lamented.

“Chief…, where are you?”

Hearing that name, Eliot gritted his teeth in anger. ‘That fraud!’

CRUNCH!

The sea snake swallowed its 8^th victim and this was when it suddenly stopped.

The sea snake stopped and focused on the distance even as its eyes narrowed into slits, it seemed to detect something as the atmosphere suddenly changed.

Eliot was perceptive enough to detect the change. ‘What now?!’

Then, suddenly…

BOOM!

It was instantaneous acceleration and crazy speed!

They arrived in an instant!

Inside the hole where they hid, Eliot’s eyes widened into saucers.

The sound induced was caused by the sheer momentum of them moving through the water at such an immense speed.

The new guests were 5 extremely aggressive Piranhas.

And these were no mere Piranhas either, Eliot could tell from just one look that these Piranhas already evolved from their base form.

At least 3 times bigger than normal Piranhas, these 5 predators were hyper aggressive as they arrived in an instant and pounced on their prey.

Their prey at this moment? The sea snake.

Their terrifying teeth and hyper aggressive approach enabled them to tear into the skin of this sea snake the next moment as it bled.

The sea snake was caught off-guard.

“HISSS…!” It hissed in pain and annoyance.

“Bunch of annoying pests!” The sea snake roared.

“…!”

In his hole, Eliot was flabbergasted.

‘This snake can speak?!’

‘I should have known!’

‘If fish can speak, there is no way a snake in this world should not be able to’.

The sea snake launched its counterattack, it spoke again.

“Magic Gland: Venom Shield!” It roared.

Bzzz!

The water sizzled as a dark purplish thick liquid came out of its skin before solidifying the next moment around the sea snake, forming a thick shield.

“I’ll kill all of you pests!” The sea snake roared.

In his hole, Eliot was amazed. ‘Is that magic?’
